@@UniquepowerTwUnique-Power Explain “how” it will be a better driving experience, and what does “safety drive” mean,..we should take your unexplained opinion that all this work is beneficial but yet you cannot spell correctly much less proof read.
In here, many buses change drum brake to disc brake. Because they could change the shoe of the drum 2~3 buses only in one day. For the disc brake, less than 20 minutes to complete one bus.
If you want to do a drum to disc conversion on a Tundra, check out Silver Mine Motors. They have a great kit. As with all disc brake conversion, the assembly of the emergency brake is a real pain. I suggest placing the axle assembly in a vertical jig, ( I used a tall traffic cone) to stop the pieces from falling while attempting to assemble. Afterward, just install the axle. Makes the job much easier. I also recommend replacing the axle bearings and seals. When the old one is pressed out, the old backing plate will come off as well. One thing of importance to remember, there is a right side and left side axle and, if you reverse the anti-lock brake gear, the computer will think you are going backwards.
That was cool. Way over my capabilities. I’ll stick to drums on my Tacoma and suck it up. Lol. I just hate doing drum brakes but not as much as converting them

My drum brake lock is caused by a fault with the ABS and this only happens with mud and water....this is what one mechanic i work with told me. I am not sure why this happens but it has happened 2 or 3 times now in last 2 years. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem with a taco truck?
Normally, drum brake is more resistant to the mud. But weak to the water. It will be effective after drawing the water out. Drum brake is efficient only heat and water are its weak points.
In order to use the original cable and the original rim, a smaller drum brake is needed. For matching the new drum, the new disc and calipers have to be redesigned. Yes, this is a brand new system.

So you guys have no plans on coming up with a kit in the near future? There's a lot of people on the Tacoma forums and Facebook pages that would definitely use this, you guys should check them it to know weather there's enough of a demand for it if that's the case.
We surely wish to build a kit for early Tacoma. (We know the difference) It's almost impossible to design a kit without changing the cable. We still working on it and we will find a way ....... by changing the cable ........
For more reliable quality, we give up to purchase caliper and rotor from O.E. Hope the new mold going smoothly, then we will be ready within 1 to 2 months. Thanks for your inquiry.
We are sorry to let you down. This Tacoma kit only fits 2005 and after. Before 2005, the cable is completely different and cost double or more to build a kit.
Yes, you are completely correct. It makes possible for upgrading to 4 pot caliper with no pain. (Without the drum, needs to install the extra caliper for parking)
Not ready for sale. Trying to replace the calipers shown on the video from made in China to local made. Quality issue is no compromise. Please wait for one more month.
List price will come out after everything completed. (Caliper and rotor are under mold opening ) Price for list should be US$1500 or under. ( not final )
Thanks for your commands ! You are absolutely right ! It is really not an easy job to build a kit, especially, without re-installing the cable is the most difficult design piece. We do much effort to reduce the the cost and the list price for sedan should less than 800 and less 1.6k for pickup per set. We had worked for AP Racing agent here for more than 10 years. To change the rear is much more effective than the front, especial vehicles like Golf, Focus, Mazda 3,5 ........ they need a new hand brake mechanism when takes the original caliper off. The most impressive case is a Tacoma user wanted to upgrade its front brake for more braking power. When he installed our conversion kit, he satisfy the total braking power and give up his upgrade plan of the front. For most luxury vehicles, drum in disc is the only system for their rear brakes., You can see pickup exists drum only or drum in disc system. (Drum is important !) This is why we try to collect the vehicles to drum in disc system and we are the only fools in the world.
We are looking for dealers and in contacting state. The quality of the caliper in the video is imported from China and is not stable enough. We are opening a new one in local and will be ready in less than two months. So far, you can only purchase from us directly. Thank you!www.unique-power.com.tw/ info@unique-power.com.tw or kelvin@unique-power.com.tw

Sorry that our current kit fits only 2005' on.
The cable into the drum is completely different before the year 2005. (Parallel to Vertical)
So you guys have no plans on coming up with a kit in the near future? There's a lot of people on the Tacoma forums and Facebook pages that would definitely use this, you guys should check them it to know weather there's enough of a demand for it if that's the case.
We surely wish to build a kit for early Tacoma. (We know the difference)
It's almost impossible to design a kit without changing the cable.
We still working on it and we will find a way ....... by changing the cable ........
Hey guys a have 1969 Ford f600 drums front and back can I upgrade with disc????
Thank you for your inquiry.
We don't have F600 data and also no such model for researching.
Sorry for disappointing you!
Can't you just pull disc brake axles off disc brake truck, and install complete onto a drum brake truck.. same size axles 60.75"???
The installation process is the same as O.E. changing the bearing.
All pickups are in the same structure.
Thanks!
hi, is the kit already for sale?
For more reliable quality, we give up to purchase caliper and rotor from O.E.
Hope the new mold going smoothly, then we will be ready within 1 to 2 months.
Thanks for your inquiry.
Anything for a 1999 toyota tacoma prerunner?
We are sorry to let you down.
This Tacoma kit only fits 2005 and after.
Before 2005, the cable is completely different and cost double or more to build a kit.
Nice job
Thank you!
Good job UPI....
Thank you!
Music reminds me of Gran Turismo 5 in the upgrade menus (especially at the end).
In japan rear disc breaks available. Not in the USA.

@@UniquepowerTwUnique-Power hello i need 1 kit please
Master cylinder?
So this kit uses drums for the parking brake and discs for the foot brake?
Yes, you are completely correct.
It makes possible for upgrading to 4 pot caliper with no pain.
(Without the drum, needs to install the extra caliper for parking)
how much is this kit??
Not ready for sale.
Trying to replace the calipers shown on the video from made in China to local made.
Quality issue is no compromise.
Please wait for one more month.
Thanks for sharing !!! :)
Thanks!
Estimated cost of the kit?
List price will come out after everything completed.
(Caliper and rotor are under mold opening )
Price for list should be US$1500 or under. ( not final )
What a massive undertaking. I can't even imagine the cost of this project. I'm thinking at least $1.5-3 grand per axle. Why would you need to do this?
For most luxury vehicles, drum in disc is the only system for their rear brakes.,
You can see pickup exists drum only or drum in disc system. (Drum is important !)
This is why we try to collect the vehicles to drum in disc system and we are the only fools in the world.
I wouldn't do it. Higher maimtenance plus more unsprung weight.
How to buy?
Please contact info@uniuqe-power.com.tw.
Thanks!
Where Can I purchase this
We are looking for dealers and in contacting state.
The quality of the caliper in the video is imported from China and is not stable enough.
We are opening a new one in local and will be ready in less than two months.
So far, you can only purchase from us directly.
