Sorry for the late reply. A master cylinder swap is not required as the caliper/rotor/drum combo is designed to work specifically with the stock Tacoma master cylinder.
These instructions are fucking horrible. In the video you press the axel into the backing plate without the parking brake installed. With the axle installed, it is impossible to install the parking brake. The part where you install the parking brake cable shows NOTHING.

Do you guys change the master cylinder and the proportioning valve since disk brakes pressure is different from drums?
