Top 5 easily best albums of all time in Downtempo
First heard this when it came out in 2000 (I was 22 years old). Still an amazing album twenty years later.
And fink, "fresh produce". Russia, Omsk.
I discovered it around that time. It's interesting how we feel closest to the music we listened during the late teenage years. But I listened to Tosca, K&D, Thievery Corporation, and Lemon Jelly during my late twenties. I remember THAT time with affection.

Unkle, Morcheeba, Sneaker Pimps, DJ Krush, Amon Tobin, Allflaws
Yessss all of them!!!!!
Also Tim 'Love' Lee, Verbrilli Sound, Visit Venus, Urchin, BoC, Luke Vibert, Kid Loco, DJ Cam and many more, what a fantastic era of music and many of these people are still doing it.

that's a song that makes you think deeply and comfortably, enjoying the moment and forgeting about many things you don't need to think.
I have probably listened to this album a 1000 times already and know every note of it and it just relaxes so much. Perfect for working, reading, sleeping, and it is such a coherent album with all songs equally brilliant in their own right with so much versatility. Just love this. Any other Tosca album is far from this one. Just feel like you are stepping on a cloud and floating in air.

Holy crap, this album is amazing. I just came upon it randomly through the TH-cam recommendations, and I'm so glad I did. I've never heard of Tosca but I'm definitely delving more into their stuff after this.
The last track is so out-of-nowhere creepy. So different to the rest of the album (which is good, FYI).

Those albums weren't even that dope retrospectively, but music somehow felt more immersive then.

I heard this dub in one of Joe Frank`s Show in early 2000`s at KCRW in LA. Since then, Joe`s magical monologues and the incredible rhythm of this dub have been a very nice memory of times gone by.
