I agree, I always think of Sound of The Underground and No Good Advice as two sides of the same coin, they both have the same vibe ,and both mention going below in the lyrics
Fantastic pop music. 🇬🇧 USA always "missed the bus." Rest in Peace Sarah. Thanks for making my two young daughters then, so happy eighteen years ago with your music.
Behave, I'm not speaking ill of the dead all she was a lucky young woman who got a break on a reality show. There are literally thousands of young women out there, who can really sing, but haven't been fortune enough to break into the entertainment world
@Curtis Mann Japan legit loves music from all over. They have fanbases for every single genre that's why so many artists perform there. From hiphop to pop to folk to rock to metal to edm.
I remember it now. 10 years old. I had no problems. I had no worries. Its amazing how far and fast music can help us travel to the past. 2005 was my year!
Heard this for the first time in years today playing in a shop and had totally forgotten how completely brilliant it is. Those synths are straight out of the early 80s Visage/OMD school and the whole production is as epic as a Trevor Horn special. So happy to put this on my playlist after so many years...
The attitude and pop rock perfection is just dripping off this song. They were the band who would fuck your party up, drink all your booze, take all your drugs and play music too loud but you'd still have them back the next week. Brilliant.
I always enjoyed watching this video because it is a catchy tune and a very lovely music video. However these days whenever I watch this video, I get the same sense of feeling I get whenever I watch the video to ‘I'm In the Mood for Dancing’ by the Nolans … a sense of loss. I can’t stop thinking of Bernie Nolan, in the latter video, just as I can’t stop thinking about Sarah Harding in this video … two beautiful and talented ladies taken way before their time. R.I.P Bernie and Sarah… ❤
Who's going through watching all these music vids back again and again after the awful news about Sarah, urgh these girls got me through so much shit I can't believe she's gone
Ahhh a throwback to the days when you would blast this song as a teen, thinking life was hard before you had any clue what it was actually like 😂. Still one of my favourites. Thanks girls!
I can't decide if they were hotter in this video or in the video for Call The Shots. Cheryl and Nadine look utterly amazing in this. They all looked great in this era.

I watched the final of Popstars The Rivals and saw the moment each got told they were in the band. Sarah was the final one. Such a shame she is no longer with us. She definitely brought the punky edgy look to the band. GA won't be the same without her
I was 4 when this was released in 2003, the video was a bonus on the No Good Advice CD single and I distinctly remember my mum putting it into the computer for the first time for me to watch. It was my favourite song and video at the time and it is still up there 13 years later!
'No Good Advice' is always overshadowed by 'Sound Of The underground' but it is such an amazing follow up

Nice analysis :)
This is by far one of my fave songs by them
this is one of the best girlgroup songs ever
That guitar riff is awesome.
My Sharona.
I'm not a fan of them but this song is definitely good and catchy and the guitar riff is the best part.
I wonder if the songwriter was thinking of Temple of Love by the Sisters of Mercy.
@@AshleyPomeroy It would be awesome if they were thinking of that fine song! But would it be the extended version with Ofra Haza?
Love the riff too. I can hear Blondie or Transvision Vamp influences in the song as well. RIP Sarah Harding

Nicola is AWESOME....most underrated pop girl EVER!
Don't worry, she won The Masked Singer UK season 1
Fabulous pair of legs on her and can imagine her wearing a tiny thong under that silver piece.😀

👍👍👍👍
This song is pop perfection. Loved Girls Aloud, easily the most credible girlband of the noughties.
Yes all the way!!
Steven Lowe Pretty much like what the Spice Girls were to the '90s.
Song is perfect but the video has one error.
I'd say Sugababes were more credible (before the lineup changed 100%) Girls Aloud were better for pure pop music though IMO
Its a shame they lost this rock edge! I loved it!
