I was born in 2002
Videos mostly had this quality back then. People bought records, so there was plenty of money for producing glossy videos. They were played on MTV, they had to be good, unlike now.

When Girls Aloud first came onto the Pop Music scene, I used to compare them to The Spice Girls because of how similar they looked. Both groups were from different eras and I would say Girls Aloud did sort of fill in the void for The Spice Girls throughout the 2000s alongside Sugababes, although they weren’t top-tier like them as in achieving international success outside the UK like they did.

This was the first song/music video I can clearly remember watching back when I was really young, I loved it then and still love it now! I've been a massive Girls Aloud fan since and never really stopped, but it all started with this one! Genuinely, it's incredible to see something that's been such a big part of my life finally in 4K, it's seriously surreal but it looks absolutely phenomenal!
Nearly two decades on and this is still one of the 21st century's greatest pop songs. RIP Sarah - 39 is no age at all. Fuck cancer

Her name was Sarah Nicole Harding and she went to the same school as me (Hazel Grove High School) she went there from 1993 until 1998 and I was a student there from 2013 until 2018 .
I am now 20 years old (I’m 21 years old at the end of the year)

I really like this song, and it’s so much better than the rest of the GA songs, the vibe is also better. I would have liked to see what they would have looked like as a band if they had kept the rock/bad ass girl vibe they had going on here, but soon after this in the late 2000s/2010s it was much more popular to be girly so we never got to see what this version of the band would have looked like.

Came here after hearing the news about Sarah. I remember watching the group being put together on Popstars back in 2002. It was the Christmas before I moved to Ireland and started secondary school there. On the way over in late 2002/early 2003 I went into a pub in Wales with my parents and this song was playing on the TV in there. Then there was the Buy Girls, Bye Boys campaign

This song broke 3 records: quickest band from formation to Number 1, first band to have a Christmas Number 1 with their debut single and the first girlband to debut at Number 1. At the point of the video the girls ranged from 16/17 to 20
Following on from this the girls had 21 consecutive top 10 singles between 2002 and 2009 - 4 of which being Number 1. As well as this, they had 7 top 10 albums (2 number 1's) and have a total of 20 certifications within the UK alone for their works. Over their career, Girls Aloud have sold around 10 million copies of their work in the UK alone, earning a Brit Award alongside 6 sellout nationwide tours, on top of 2 of their own TV shows and a feature in the movie St Trinians

They only sold in the U.K. as they already had an inbuilt fan base from being on a to show for months . They could have churned out any shit and their fans would have bought it . I remember when Girls Aloud were put together and won Popstars: The Rivals during the height of reality TV. I was so excited for a new girl group to come along as the SG had parted, even though they were and still are my #1. I remember getting this single for Xmas and copying the video/dance routine with those coloured microphone stand sets. Good times. Kids today don't know the simple pleasures and innocence of great pop music.
There are better pop groups these days than there were in the 90's. Stop being so foolish.

You can't 'beat' cancer, there are no character traits which can go above and beyond what surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and medicines can do.

During this coronavirus lockdown I've been trawling round pop songs of my youth, I had a lot of guilty pleasures.
This isn't even a guilty pleasure though, this is a genuinely good little song
It's been almost 15 years and this song continues to be incredibly fun and fresh sounding.
Guys, kalma lang! While most Pinoys are not familiar with the song, SOUND OF THE UNDERGROUND is a tremendous hit in the UK. This will work in their favor. We can't just choose what we want. But we have to give the Brits what they want! Most of the reactions I read from Brits were all positive. They love this song. And we have to give it to Cheryl for choosing a song that will help them achieve futher popularity and favor from the UK X Factor fans. All we need to do is pray and wish them good luck that they give this song justice.
This group is so fascinating. I never knew their songs would have this much variety in sounds and themes if just by looking at their image as a girl group. I mean, I'd never expect a song like this coming from them!

I love Sugababes, Girls Aloud and Atomic Kitten. They are all better then Little Mix or any new girl group these days but they are all far behind the ultimate and best girl group of all time my personal favourite The Spice Girls.
Well… this is the age of the Internet. Like… I've really settled into vocaloid with hints of indi rock (siames), chillhop/lofi, edm (all sorts of genres), and big band (more swing-like though) thrown in. Don't get stuck to just the popular stuff if you hate it.
