    Rent for Studio was in range of 1000€ way back in 2015. Extensive inflation has happened since then. Currently, room in shared flats are in range of 800€. Studio starts at 1300€.

    Still it is cheaper than Toronto Canada- Rent , internet, cell phone , groceries is all cheap compared to Canada. Enjoy the life . Sixty dollars a week on groceries is so less are you eating or just tasting. I think you are mostly on onions and potatoes.

      Yeah compared to Canada , it’s still quite inexpensive. Also, life is quite smooth here with all 4 seasons plus not too far from India..

    What is the salary of doctors there, can they do private practice? Whats their salary difference in comparison others. Can someone who’s employed in Germany, say a doctor, can he start his own startup, or business along with job after getting permission from current employer?

      Hello 👋.. which city are you planning to move in Germany. So cities like Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt are more international and it’s easy for you and your family to adjust. Related to kid, I cannot comment on it but people have different experiences. If you really plan your move to Germany. Then do, follow Indians in germany and Indians in munich, Berlin pages on facebook. There you can ask your queries and you will get some answers related to this☺️

    How much does health insurance cost? How much is the cost of illness and so on?

    • @ExplorerCoupleinEurope
      @ExplorerCoupleinEurope  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Health insurance here differs from public to private. So generally you have insurance with different prices and it costs you according to your job, salary and other parameters. If you are student, they you will have to pay less than a salaried person. To know the prices check out in check24 and also public insurance company website like TK insurance

    Very nice explanation ma'am but if i get 40k in Hamburg is it enough fir single person and how much can i save

    • @ExplorerCoupleinEurope
      @ExplorerCoupleinEurope  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello 👋 Hamburg is considered to be top 5 expensive cities in Germany .. Did you check netto brutto website to see the inhand salary? If you get close to 2k Euro in hand per month then you may end up saving between 500-800 Euro per month .. considering you live in Studio apartment. @@ExplorerCoupleinEurope yes ma'am I'll get 2500 In hand salary so I'm coming from India and my goal is to save money but as you said about studio apartment, are they expensive ? And one question regarding to recruitment process? Why my employer asking for copy of passport before sending formal offer letter? He said visa process is faster, can you explain more please

    • @ExplorerCoupleinEurope
      @ExplorerCoupleinEurope  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think your employer wants to just confirm and start your recruitment process that’s why they might be asking your passport copy.. studio can be expensive depending on the area and city you decide to live. There are cheaper options as well but ultimately it’s your decision where you want to stay. If you are thinking to save money, then definitely try to look for a bit outside from city and use public transport to commute. Again your choice. All the best

    Hi, great content appreciated.
    One quick question.
    with the new laws of 2024, we can bring our parents to germany, I am planning to do so.
    Could you please give an estimate of money required for a family of 5, including 2 senior citizen parents and 1 kid.
    Thanks

    • @ExplorerCoupleinEurope
      @ExplorerCoupleinEurope  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Apoorv, with this new law , only blue card holder effective from Mar 2024 are eligible to sponsor. As far as few of the articles that I had read, you need to sponsor for their medical insurance which would be quite expensive ( may be worth checking on TK website) if you want them to stay with you permanently. As far as others things are concerned, you have to ensure that your current apartment or house follows the particular size in case if it’s more than 2 person. After that , you have to calculate to cost for additional members that include groceries, and miscellaneous cost that you can take from my video about monthly expenses for two. I hope this answer your queries.
      Quick question - are you planning to sponsor your family permanently here?

    • @apoorvtyagi4129
      @apoorvtyagi4129 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thank you for you quick response, means a lot.
      yes my plan is to sponsor and settle with my whole family.
      As per the estimate, I have calculated:
      insurance: 600 monthly for 2
      rent: 1500
      electric and net: 120
      kid: 180
      grocery/miscellaneous : 600
      transport: 300
      can we assume around 3300-3500 for all?

    • @ExplorerCoupleinEurope
      @ExplorerCoupleinEurope  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah on a safer side, assume this to 4K.. all the best 😊 I am happy to see people are considering the option of sponsoring their parents ..

      Hi Vikram, Getting a job from India is continuous effort and depends on what expertise you have. Right now companies hiring from India based on skills which are shortage here or they unable to fill the position for the candidate in EU region. Cost of living is different in each city. Munich is the expensive city and here you need at least 2k to 2.5k Euro to cover all your basic expenses for 2 person/couple. If you want to save also then the range increase 3.5k to 4K . Hello 👋 if this will be your in hand salary you will get, then it’s good enough to have a decent life in Berlin. But keep in mind, you won’t be able to save much (approx 500 or more less) Euro depending on the lifestyle you choose. Just in case you are planning to move, keep in consideration that language plays important role in Germany and can speed up PR process.
