  • How much does it cost to live in outskirts of Munich in 2024? | Germany Cost of Living 2024
    Dear Friends,
    In this video, I am sharing my Indian family’s cost of living in Germany for 2024. I have previously shared the cost of living video from Nuremberg. But this time, it is from the outskirts of Munich. As there has been recession in Germany and also I had a job change in Germany, due to these changes the cost of living has also changed for our family. You can get an idea from this video about an Indian family’s expenses in Germany along with child. Hope this helps.

    Hey, great content.
    One quick question. It may sound naive, but I really wanted to know.
    I am planning to learn german and find job in germany to settle down there as we have new laws to bring our parents if the criteria meets. So how much do you think would cost for a family of 5, including 2 senior citizen parents.

    Also I understand in your video that Germany sponsors some amount for your spouse learning German. Pls elaborate it, I wanted to opt it as well

      Yes, If you are already in Germany, you need to reach out to Govt. Organisation called BAMF in your city. They will evaluate your profile and provide a letter to join any nearby language school. Usually it is a 4-hrs daily class for 6 months and you can appear for B1 exam. You need to pay the fee by yourself every month, after your B1 exam, if you pass it, then you can get 50% back as refund. Please check out to BAMF website to know more.

    Hi Jegan,
    I would like to know about the job opportunities for mainframe cobol programmers?
    It would be really helpful for me to make my decision of moving to Germany. Because, I think fully dependent on one person salary will not be enough for long run. So, I want my partner to also have enough opportunities.
    Thanks

      @jegankennedy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Vignesh, I did a small research on Cobol job opportunities. It looks to be very low. So I am bit pessimistic about finding a job only with Cobol. But if you stack yourself with other skills then it will be better.

    Hi jeggan, your videos are very informative for us really thankyou for such informative videos . In India One of the consultant cheated on us thats y Me n
    My family are presently in portugal n we wanted to move to germany. My husband is an HR n worked with many MNC with good work experience, he tried a lot to search job from india also but it didnt work . Pls advice n help us to find a job in germany . One more query n i.e yet we have not received a TRC card in portugal. So is it possibly to move to germany without TRCcard .

    • @jegankennedy
      @jegankennedy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I am sorry to hear that some bad thing has happened to you in your movement. I am not sure about TRC card but if you get a job contract from German employer then with your Indian passport and the job contract, you can apply for German visa from Portugal itself. Once you get Germany's entry visa, you can then move in to Germany.
      Finding job is separate part, for HR roles I do not have much experience directly. But I hope you would watched couple of my other videos where I discuss about some tips, I could only recommend that for now.

    We are planning to move to Munich in a couple of months. Could you please tell us how much will be the cost for private kindergarten? And also do they accept kids with special needs?Hoping for your valuable reply 😊

      Hi, I do not have first hand experience inside Munich city. But I have paid up to 340 euros for 6 hours of day care in a different city. For special needs, yes, definitely there are options.

      Yeah, that's why I always used to say in many of my videos. If money is the primary goal, then Germany is not the right place. You can still make a decent number, but not huge. (at least that's my opinion).

      It is definitely not worth it...trust me! In a well-paid job, 45% of your salary is deducted towards tax. You must be insane / seriously desperate to come live here.

      But I think when you have relatively low salary here in India Ex. between 10-20LPA then I think migrating to Germany also will make difference even if 45% deductions.

    Sir how is the job market for software engineers right now? Can you recommend about some agencies who help the foreigner software engineers to get job in Germany. Other than FAJIG?
    Kindly guide.

    • @jegankennedy
      @jegankennedy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Zulqarnain, The job market for software engineers is really good. Though the process is not so easy, still you can get a good job with consistent efforts. I somehow do not still feel comfortable to use an agency, so I have not researched or explored anything yet. Hence unfortunately, I can not provide one.
