- This an excerpt from WSGC's gala concert in 2020 that was held online due to the covid lockdown. This is one of Niccolò Paganini's beautiful sonatas written for guitar. Many thanks to West Sussex Guitar Club who organised and streamed the concert, and for letting me upload some excerpts. More pieces from this concert will be uploaded soon.

Thank you! This particular concert was shot with a Nikon Z6, if I remember correctly. And the extra angles were blackmagic pocket cameras. Hope that helps!

lovely sound, can you tell me which microphone did you use on this video pls ?
Thank you! It was recorded over two years ago, so I don’t remember exactly, but it was probably a pair of sE 1a microphones. They’re not amazing, but the bottle neck is not the mics anyway, so any condensor mic pair would sound roughly the same in this case. Nails, stroke/pluck style, guitar, strings, room acoustics, and mic placement will matter way way more, or that’s what I find at least. Hope that helps! :-)
