XBSX2 will always be my favorite emulator on the Series Consoles (it would be RPCS3 if it ever got a UWP app but I’ve given up hope of that ever happening) but Dolphin is def my second favorite. W developers.
@@nasirriaz2409 Every PS2 game that I’ve tried works perfectly, most work with upscale 4K resolution. And yes of course the dolphin emulator works, same thing, a lot of them even work with a 4K upscale. I’m on series X of course on S you’re gonna have to give up 4K, 1080p will be the limit for most games.
@@moomoothespacecow8978 yeah but it won't be a fun process, I recommend using FTP so you can use the internal SSD but you still need a computer to transfer to it.
I’ve always had a problem installing the Wii control profiles from the dolphin emulator itself but hopefully when I download this new update of dolphin with the control settings now I am able to play Wii games!
Probably will be covered but anyone experiencing stutters every couple of mins it's due to shaders My portable HDD is probably to blame cause I get very slight stutter on ps2 but is barley noticeable on the ps2 emulator Change shaders to skip drawing helps a massive deal You will get slight pop in depending on the game Aka f-zero you sometimes see pop in but will be flawless on a more slow paced game

My Dolphin doesnt boot up again after I close it the first time. Any ideas why it's doing this? I have to install it EVERY TIME to even get the emulator to boot up.

So idk why but all of a sudden i opened dolphin after a while on my series x but i received no input on any game, not even for quick menu. I went into the controller profiles and it said one profile with a bunch of ?s (??6? ??? ???? ?6???????) and one that says Gamepad and neither of them work

You can add to the xbox remote portal through an android phone but storage might cause some problems, I'm only saying this because my junk laptop couldn't get to it and I'm putting this here incase anybody else has the same issue as I :)
How to set fast forward on the controller? It is the tab button on the keyboard. I changed the config on PC and uploaded to the Dolphin folder and no change.

I dont know if you're answering questions but, I had two. 1) I only have a chromebook will I be able to download the files and transfer them to the Xbox in Dev Mode or is it something that can only go through properly with a microsoft computer. 2)Can any USB work for this? I have a random 15$ USB I got from Amazon that Ive never used. Or does it need to be a specific type?
Update: with Dolphin version now at 1.1.6 UWP, everything works great and especially the controller profiles it’s just an amazing update and now I can play Wii games like spider man shattered Dimensions & House of the dead 2&3 gun controller settings with my own custom Wii controller profile. There are at times dolphin crashes if you leave the game paused for a while or when playing so my best suggestion is probably play at 720p or 1080p the latest or even Native resolution so it won’t crash as often or rarely crashing but overall, now im loving the dolphin experience!

I have added the games on a ntfs formated usb stick in a folder called "Games" and also added a folder called "Dolphin". But when I try to select them as you said in the path section I have a warning saying "The folder path you have selected is not writable! please check that you have the correct permission for the folder you have selected" and so I cannot use them as path. Can anyone please help me on how to fix this issue? Thanks :)
Any tips on why Dolphin doesn't launch? I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times (v 1.16), but it just goes to the splash screen and hangs. After about 30-45 seconds it gives me an error. "For some reason Dolphin Emulator took too long to start".
Create the data folder right from dolphin. When you go to select a path for the data, there is a button to create a folder. The same thing was happening to me and this solved it.
Hello, is it possible to use gyro controls for Wii games? I have the standard Xbox controller and an elite series 2 controller, I assume they have gyro in them, is there a way to set that up? I noticed you seemed to have been using it but maybe not.

Yeah, you have to specifically choose Dolphin/GC/USA as the folder to put your roms. Any other location and it won’t recognize the path. Hope that helps!

So I just want to ask, firstly is this legal (obviously don’t want to get in trouble). I know that this is an old comment but emulation is fully legal, but downloading ROMs for free isn’t (but I wouldn’t really worry abt that). and this won’t really do anything to your xbox you just have to switch between regular and dev mode whenever you want to go back to regular games

So I have a bit of a problem. Can the standalone do multidisc m3u like Retroarch, or do you have to have two entries on your game lists for all multi-disc games? I'd prefer to just have one entry/coverart for each game if possible, as I do for Retroarch's Gamecube library.

connect the other controllers, assign them in the controller settings (xinput 0, 1, 2, 3) and restart dolphin

Later version with more features, and some people prefer custom configs and whatnot for more modern emulators

You need a Windows machine to properly format any USB 3.0 drive

They are the same thing for the purposes of Xbox emulation.

You want a drive capable of 200 megs a second for HD texture packs otherwise it doesn't matter

You can try them out and see which is preferable to your tastes. I typically just stick to Angry Lion on the Retroarch side.

You have to use the PC version to configure them and copy the configs over to the Xbox USB

Xbox controllers do not have built in gyro controls. You map the actions to face buttons/triggers

It will show both but it automatically swaps discs
I got the USB formatted like in your other video but the games don’t show up on Dolphin. Do the games have to be in a certain format to appear?

I believe standalone can do motion plus emulation now but I'm not sure off the top of my head since I don't play much Wii stuff.

Has anyone found a way to use speedup/fast forward on the dolphin uwp? I tried setting up a hotkey on my controller for that serveral times and it just didn't work when loaded into the uwp. Would be great for games like Pokemon XD.

It will always stutter on first load since Xbox doesn't support Ubershaders

No, because Mac can't read NTFS drives by default. You need to enable NTFS write abilities or use a VM.
when I first downloaded dolphin it opened fine but now (I'm around 7:48) it wont open it just shows the dolphin logo and then goes back to the dev menu

Just curious do the Wii remotes just connect straight to the xbox or is other hardware required? I was looking at a USB sensor bar on Amazon but I didn't know if they natively connect.
You can't connect a Wii remote to the Xbox for this
