For Zelda OoT texture pack. I had to delete some sub folders so it could run correct. The folder size sweet spot for me was 2900mb or lower for xbox series s. Anything higher error message for ram appears on start up & doesn’t load textures. Hope this help someone who has my issue.

You should make a viseo about duckstation uwp for dev mode its way better than retroarch. I wanted to say thanks to you as without your easy installation instructions I now have an amazing emulation beast as my xbox series x. Your a great teacher

A lot of people say if something like YUZU were to come to dev mode it would get shut down immediately but Cemu would have BOTW on it, would Nintendo really allow that? Obv they can’t do anything about it legally but MS prob doesn’t want their relationship with them to be jeopardized and they absolutely can just axe dev mode emulation all together no?
Unlikely - from what the folks on the Xbox emulation discord, the limitations of the app format and the requirements of the various emulators (and their requirements on DirectX) they don't believe that it's possible.
Hey ArchadesGames, Really appreciate your videos. Have you investigated if the UWP version of Dolphin can support FPS mods/patches. I'd love to see if we could run say Twilight Princess or Wind Waker at 60fps (maybe at a lower res).
Did this one my own Months ago. Iam pretty sure you also can put the textures on the internal XBOX HDD by Transfering it via FTP. You could maybe create the same folder Structure like on your USB Device. Forgot about it
Hello people, my retro arch don't launch anymore on series X, when i try it the "xbox dev home" screen appezr and get back the games and apps screen, any solutions please?
i keep this in mind for the future. i need a console that runs every game from 1971 upto gamecube and ps2 smooth. but i do not want to go for pc because inwant it nex to my tv and it is too expensive. so probably getting a xbox series x afterall because of emulation.
Tried the same Wind Waker texture pack he downloaded. Can anyone tell me one scene where you can see a difference? I am on a 4K 65" panel and there is no difference when I go back and forth between the load textures option.
It's just the button mapping in the top right. It desn't look like it's actual gameplay textures, more so a HUD modification which is incredibly disappointing.
Do you happen to know the ram prefetch limit for these HD texture packs to work on the series x/s? If a pack is too large does it just not load in any of the textures or does it fail to launch?
I haven't had luck with anything over 4 gigs on my Series S. It will typically kick back to dash if you have prefetch on. You can turn it off and try to load them on the fly but it usually is a performance problem.
Im enjoying playing with textures but I can’t get mario kart 64 (wiiware) to run well with texture packs. The image is constantly flickering between textured and untextured 😢
It's shader compilation stutter. Since ubershaders don't work right on Xbox yet you can enable caching before starting which helps a bit or switch to skip draw.
@@ArchadesGames not particularly big. Even the smallest of texture packs seems to crash dolphin a few seconds into game launch. I’musing a decent sandisk ssd too
I hope you talk about XBSX2 problem it almost run all of the 60fps game at 30fps For example Bloodrain2 on pcsx2 it's run at 60fps without cheats but in Xbsx2 it's run at 30 even with cheats still drops to 30 fps hope you make a video about it
I seem to be having an issue where for one of my games, it only loads in part of the textures. It will load them all correctly on my Steam Deck and PC, but not on the Xbox. Any ideas why this could be?

I did a video for it. Duckstation for UWP is extremely outdated and no longer maintained. The Swanstation core is Duckstation but actually up to date.
if it is about custom button you should test UniversalDynamicInput

The only way to stop dev mode emulation is to remove dev mode completely which would then open them up to lawsuits as well.
I'm not holding my breath for Cemu on Xbox, but I really wish that Cemu would at least get DirectX support one day.

Then you are at the mercy of your USB transfer speed. Use an external SSD if you're not already.
