    I just want to say Thank You for sharing this. I did this for this Thanksgiving and I don't think I'll ever go back to making a whole turkey again! My whole family enjoyed this.

    Thank you so much for this great video. I grew up in a large family and my mother was a wonderful cook who made delicious Thanksgiving dinners every year. I am 65 years old now and live with my daughter and granddaughter who are both vegetarian. Your video has inspired me to prepare a small Thanksgiving dinner for myself this year so thank you so much for the inspiration! Many blessings to you and your family.

    I've made the turkey breast and also the one that includes dark meat (my fav!). They are both yummy and no fail. I'm a family of 3 so this is perfect for us. Tfs!

    I love how you cooked everything with butter, it is almost as wonderful as using bacon. You must have had fun getting that all back into the netting so it looked as good as it started. Thank you for sharing this with us. Have a great weekend.

    We make stuffing pretty much the same way. The only difference is, (and maybe it's a New England thing?) we add mashed potato to the dried bread crumbs mixture and follow the Recipe pretty much as you did. The proportion off potato and bread is more bread 2/1 ratio. Give it a try!! I absolutely love watching your videos. I absolutely can't wait to try your chorizo and potato girdita/taco filling! Keep up the great work & try adding some potato to your stuffing mixture. We always make extra because leftover stuffing, warmed up the next day, fried in a pan with just a bit of butter, (like you heat up / cook hash) is awesome!! I hope you try it and love it!!

    Looks great. I'm in the south and we use mostly cornbread and some white bread. I don't think the flavor of the broth matters . I have tried both and really can tell the difference. Good job.

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! 😊 I live in Texas and cornbread dressing is the tradition for us. I actually prefer cornbread dressing like my paternal grandmother made, but it's a family recipe and my family likes to keep it between us. I really wanted to do a video because it's so darn good, but I respect my uncle's decision. 😁

    That looks absolutely amazing! btw: I've used the Butterball Turkey Gravy before and its okay, about the same as any other ready made gravy you can by in a can or jar, however, I've always found I have to "dress it up" to taste. Basically, its a good starter for gravy. lol

    Come to think of it, removing that net before cooking was a fantastic idea. I can probably season it from the inside with some compound butter that will season it as well as keep it extra moist and roll it back and put it in the netting. That way I have a fully inside out seasoned breast and extra flavorful.

    • @MichiganMorels
      @MichiganMorels 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly what I was going to post, but you beat me to it! If you open it, why waste the opportunity to season it?

    Wonder if you could slice up chunks and make turkey tenders..... and how it would compare to price for chicken tenders.
    Mom always cut up bread the night b4 and allowed it to air dry overnight.
    Several years ago I started making thanksgiving dinner for the family and added first course of soup and salad. Over-eating dropped like a rock.

  • @MichiganMorels

    Liked the video! But why did you use chicken stock for turkey dressing? Do you use turkey stock for your roasted chicken and dressing? LOL I always save the carcass from a turkey, and make homemade turkey bone stock. Freeze, or can it, for later use, such as this. From one whole roasted turkey picked over bones, you can get enough stock to last 2 or 3 years, for gravy, dressing, or what have you for flavoring. NOT bashing you. Just a suggestion.

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had no turkey stock as this was a boneless roast, but definitely the better way to go if you want more turkey flavor. 😁👍

    • @lianealbert7728
      @lianealbert7728 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gochujang Mamá / Michigan Morels - we use chicken stock too. I honestly don't find that it makes that much of a difference as to which you use. I like to use a lot of poultry seasoning anyway. Maybe it's a New England thing too but the poultry seasoning we use is a brand called Bells. It comes in a paper box, is yellow and has a picture of a turkey on it. We lived in outside of Dallas Texas in Flower Mound for years until 2015 and I always was able to find Bells seasoning at Central Market of all places.
