    Despite you not being too happy with the turbo can, looks like it made pretty quick work of laying a coat of paint. Maybe the light coverage is just a result of using white, white always seems to take more effort to get good coverage cause everything shows through. Anyway, truck is starting to look pretty good, just have to push out and get the cab and front end busted out.

      It's coming, but i have to disassemble all of it to replace rockers, so I will probably wait until winter to take it apart. I know part of the turbo can was my use of it, but I still suggest the "professional" cans over them, in my opinion.

    For a D.I.Y project its not bad when your trying to save money but may i offer a little advice..
    Preparation before paint goes a long way you can achieve far better quality painting by just keeping an even distance away on each pass kinda like mowing the grass you make a pass but so you dont miss blades of grass you kinda go over the spot you had just cut if that makes sense keep your lines straight & tight brother
    I left this long ass message so i went ahead and subscribed
    1.properly sand the area
    2.wash surface with soap & water to remove the dust and dirt
    3.wipe down with a degreaser
    4.primer 1 light base coat let sit for 30 minutes sand with 2000 grit sand paper
    5.wipe with a degreaser again then lay down 2 more coats 30 minutes apart let that dry over night
    6.select your color of paint lay down a thin base coat let it flash off then lay down another 2-3 coats as desired
    7. Hit it with 2x clear 2-3 coats let it cure for at least 2-3 weeks before you buff the paint so you arent burning through the clear coat just slowly polish it if you dont have a polisher you can always buy a wipe on car polish in a bottle 👍🏽💯
    Hope this helps best of luck

    For the price of 3 Turbo Cans you could have bought a gallon of Tractor paint and painted the entire truck and with tractor paint you can mix them and create custom colors and it's a very durable paint and it's $40 for a gallon. • @rustysspeedandcustom
      @rustysspeedandcustom  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't done any bodywork on it yet that's why I showed all the imperfections. I just wanted it one color and not rusting until I can get to it.
