    How much space is between the top of the Decked and the bottom of the Flated? Wondering if a couple intermediate dog kennels would fit in there? Thanks!

      So the Decked has a textured top so it varies a bit. I just measured again in a few places and came back with 25.75" - 26" (not including the rubber mat). You'll have even more room if you opt for the mid-rise Flated topper. Way more room than we had with an empty bed and a tonneau cover!

    What size did you get? I don’t see a bed size for the 5’7 bed that rams have.

      Hey Alex, we got the Air Topper Cap: Full-Size 5.5ft bed. If you use the pull down menu tabs to enter your vehicle, it should show 5'7" bed. Be sure to use our discount link/coupon to save a few bucks! 🤟🤟

    Where did your tonneau cover go when you installed this

    • @fullthrottlerick199
      @fullthrottlerick199  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We just tossed the rolled up tonneau into the garage! But we did do a test later on to see if we could install the Flated over (on top of) the tonneau cover and it would be (theoretically) possible if you had anchor points on your bed rails.

    Do you have to attach that velcro to your tailgate permanently for the flap to attach to? That would look really bad on a white truck. Thanks.

    • @fullthrottlerick199
      @fullthrottlerick199  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No need cuz they include a Velcro band that wraps around the tailgate for those that dont wanna put the 3M strip on the tailgate!

    I just got my Flated topper installed on my ram and am having issues with the velcro around the tailgate. I was wondering what velcro you ended up getting for yours? Great informative video as well!

      So we used the 1" 3M off Amazon and then swapped to the 2" 3M. The 1" actually worked just as well (and was easier to apply to the tailgate), but it made us feel more secure having a little extra material to grip too. Here's the link to the 2 inch:

      @@bnglfan1Heck ya man! We appreciate every one of you guys (and gals). Stay tuned as we're about to unbox the Flated air carrier and find a way to secure it to the roof of the Flated air cap for even more storage (or maybe even a makeshift 1-2 person tent!!)

    How do you close it when you're inside?

    • @fullthrottlerick199
      @fullthrottlerick199  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Closed the tailgate and then jumped over it to get into the bed. Once in the truckbed, we pulled the back window zippers down from the inside and the back window just naturally fell onto most of the velcro (it wasnt taught per se but it wouldnt need to be to keep us dry). Hopefully that makes sense?? Oh and mash that sub button for us!

    Cool review. Thanks for the FB comment as well. I have a big Kayak, RoadShower, and ARB awning that goes on my current ARE topper. Like these, but don’t think it will hold the gear I haul and fish with. Thanks for the great review!

    • @fullthrottlerick199
      @fullthrottlerick199  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Appreciate it man! So weight-wise, you'd be fine for sure as we've put about 120lbs up top and done some WOT pulls in our TRX and the thing was rock solid. Also had me and my neighbor and 2 kids get up there and no issues (unless you put all that weight in the middle). Link for the WOT pulls is here: th-cam.com/video/rpsqsaUMugc/w-d-xo.html
      I'm not sure how you would secure the ARB awning though as D-rings probably aren't sufficient. It has its limitations in that regard. We love it though!

      @@fullthrottlerick199 I know you mentioned in the video about water intrusion, and the rain flaps, have you ever had water get in anywhere? I am fighting the battle now. My topper just hit its 15 year mark, no leaks until now.

    • @fullthrottlerick199
      @fullthrottlerick199  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@t3angling575 We have not had any water get in during rain storms other than when my wife forgot to put the windows on (it's just a bug screen at that point), and when we did the water intrusion test via spraying a hose on jet spray upwards at the topper. Check the video on that if you get a chance. Each back corner has an air void that if you decide to drive you truck onto a kid's splash pad, ya might get some water inside haha. Otherwise, mother nature's water has not made it in yet. We did add the bulk head expanding foam seal ($10-15) at Home depot.

      If you leave the topper on 24/7, I'm sure you are probably right. I dont know that many people will do that though with how convenient it is to take down and put back on (we do this every other week, for example). I also spray it down with UV 303 spray every month so we will have to wait & see how the color holds up! Either way, I cant imagine windows will be very expensive to purchase down the road. We had a small wrinkle in our back window (almost like something heavy sat on it for a few hours) and they've already sent us a new back window on the house. Definitely great customer service before and after the sale!
