There’s two questions that are never answered about this topper: 1. How do you zip the back window up and if you can once your in the bed of your truck to call it a night to sleep 2. Is there a lock or something to keep people from entering it?
1. Close tailgate. Secure velcro (optional). Jump into truck bed. Zip up/closed from inside. 2. I believe the Flated cargo carrier came with locks. Cant remember if they came with the topper too. Either way, if someone wants in, they can find a way to get in. Definitely harder to penetrate than a soft topper by far though! And the windows are tinted from the factory so wandering eyes cant see inside. Dont forget to use our discount link and code to save some $$!
Glad you liked it my man! Dont forget to use the discount link/code while it's still active and keep in mind they're usually sold out a few months in advance!
Thank you for explaining the pressure change at the different elevations. We're at 2,500ft and travel to 250ft often and then up to 7,000ft. Great to know!!
So I bought one of these flated toppers based on one of FTR's previous reviews. Super pumped to get installed on my 2017 ram 2500 Prospector and it was about 6" too narrow at the front. It wouldn't even sit on top of the bed rails. I sent pics to customer service (Hannah) was great they sent me a return label and refunded within a week of receipt. They said the topper was within spec but I don't see how. I still wish it would have been a better fit because it's an awesome idea.
Man that's disappointing and I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm glad they got you that return label & full refund quickly though but its still a bummer for sure. I know there are so many different size trucks & beds that for them to stock every single exact configuration would require a $50M cash infusion so they have to make a more standardized fit for mid-size vs. half ton short bed vs. standard bed vs. long bed/etc. If we could, we'd probably cut 1-2" off the length of our topper. I would say ours is definitely "within spec" but to be 6 inches off on your application seems excessive in any direction! I'd stay in touch with Hannah to see if they make a revision for your application in the future 🤟
No prob man! Check out our in-depth initial review, waterproofing test & highway speed sound test if those are still lingering in your mind! th-cam.com/video/57LpzW7gWv4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Marty, glad you enjoyed it! And very cool that you're camping in it so often! Im curious, have you added anything to your tailgate to simplify closing it once you're in the bed or do you just close it before you get in?

This is what I needed to see. A real test, in December when my lease is up I’m buying one sticking on my Colorado Z71 and living in my truck

Great review. Love my Flated topper. Camp in it at least once a month.
