First things first....London ki Lalli seems to know a lot about Indian food. Cheers to that. Secondly, the decor & food looks awesome. Definitely on my bucket list on my next trip. Mishti Doi is a classical yogurt from Bengal made from jaggery prepared from dates. Lastly, the video was much enjoyed. Waiting for more like this.
I have not been to Colonel Saab but all the food looked delicious. I make misti dhoi with Greek yoghurt (not traditional), evaporated milk, and jaggery, and the result is not sour. It sets like cheesecake and tastes like cheesecake.
You should try Govinda's Restaurant in Soho (LONDON). Where food and spirituality come together. There's a temple on the first floor and a boutique on the second floor. You might like to visit.
Come to Kolkata and have misti dahi as much as you want... In case of sweet curd there is no jaggery used inside at all...... there is only melted sugar that makes the colour and sweetness...
Awesome Video! 😍 What is Mishti Doi, you ask? Ans. : " *Mishti Doi* (Bengali: মিষ্টি দই; transl. Sweet curd) is a fermented sweet doi (yogurt) originating from the Bengal region of the Indian subcontinent and common in the Indian states of *West Bengal*, Tripura, Assam's Barak Valley, and in the nation of Bangladesh. It is made with milk and sugar or jaggery. '', Googled it, source: Wikipedia. Cheers!
Wow, wow, wow this place is a museum, it could take a few hours to see all the disolays and know the history or stories behind each. When you went to India, should have visited some ancient temples in Halebidu and Beluru, Karnataka, magnificently carved. Vatsala is a nice name. Suggest not to share food with used spoons, to avoid acquiring viruses and bacteria from saliva. Epstein Barr virus is just one example.
I saw your video with Sunny (Best Ever Food Review Show) when you were reviewing the Indian food in the restaurant. You didn’t seem to be impressed by the lobster 🦞 and you kind of reluctantly said I will come back and eat again. I had the impression you didn’t like the food.
Yep, it's definitely pro-colonial. After I typed the above comment more information confirming that was revealed. E.g. he was a colonel in the British army and was a royal, who were the biggest bootlickers of the British.
@@SikanderGcome on dude it's nostalgic, keep it like that. It's ironic you did not comment in hindi typo for someone commenting in a pro colonial language- hypocrite. 🙄
This looks really good, I shall be booking my table next weekend after watching this.
Yay! 🥳👌

SMH Sonny wasted his last guest appearance on you......what a waste lol
Why don’t you go troll someone else? 🧌
This seems pro-colonial. E.g. 'mem saab' is a problematic concept, and they have some 'Anglo-Indian' thing on the menu.

As an Indian i would welcome British to come back.
@@akshaymehta4856 really? The British came to extract wealth. You want to go back to that?
