Reminds me of the time I got chosen to spar with one of the boys at the MMA Gym for his upcoming match later that night. Just some very light sparring meant to get him loose for the day. When I tell you this MF hit me with the 2 piece combo to end all 2 piece combos. His ass hit me with that Michael Jai White side kick somehow transitioning immediately into a spinning heel kick. What got me was when he was in his spin, I didn't notice he started the spin because I was blocking my face from that sidekick "Which he got me in the stomach with any fuckin way", I saw his back, and shot for a takedown only to take the hell of his foot to the throat. I have never taken my gloves off so fast in my life I for real thought my throat had been fucking crushed.
1. Yes I get frustrated from training but I’m also calm because I knew I signed up for it and it’s my responsibility. 2. Yes people are jealous of my techniques including my friends but now they start to accept me and I’m opening a business in my school to teach them MMA. 3. I’m not afraid of getting punched in the face, but I’m afraid of the consequences due to my medical record, if I get punched in the face then I’m afraid I can’t train again. BTW I’m a fan of your tutorials and skits so yea you kinda helped me through my journey, actually no you helped me by a lot.😊
And more so, be enthusiastic! There's nothing better than energetically standing up after a hard leg training and making everyone flabbergasted with your pain tolerance and masochism xd
Sparring is such a good wake up call for people. In a good way, you get punched a few times and realize you're not going to die but, you're also not invincible. Sometimes I drop my hands just to keep the sensation fresh (Not recommended for hard sparring)
I just started jiu-jitsu 2 weeks ago, and the gym I work in has as sparring at least once a week One of the best things that happened to me, I've already had so many experiences from just 2 weeks of martial arts, thx for getting me into it
The last one is actually pretty good and not good at the same time You get punch it does hurt but it hurt after (unless you get knock out) but during the sparring it feel like a drug that keep fueling you to keep fighting .
Fax. Especially the first one. You gotta stay calm and composed, and concentrate on the technique properly. My coach tells me to always look at the opponent and think of how to get him down.
The first one is something i learned quickly for some reason, like today in training i slipped on a spin kick and fell on my ass and just laughed instead of being mad like i used to be
The getting punched part is pretty important to understand. The same applies to when you get kicked in the face/liver. It hurts but what matters is how you learn from it and try not to get hit in the same manner in the future. It would be great for you to talk about how to avoid anxiety/fear before sparring or competing in a tournament, I haven’t really seen much on this before.
1. I'd argue against that, you can be frustrated and aggressive but still focused and perform well. It depends on the person if they are either fueled by positive or negative energy. 2. I haven't encountered that yet but i have seen that from the other side. More experienced martial artists are just the nicest and friendliest people, giving you tips and compliments once you get it right. It would only make sense if it also was so vice versa. 3. It really isn't all that bad, i had my lights knocked out for a second and it wasn't all too bad. Ofcourse it hurt but the pain went away quickly, ofcourse it will hurt a little since it's a martial arts class and not a nursery but it really isn't all too bad.
First tip is very helpful last night we had a sparring session and this one guy I went up against was getting mad that most of his shots were getting parried almost every time and he kept getting mad and after a while his technique was getting worse he was over extending his punches. Be like water 😂
Thanks man this really helped me. I've been trying to study Filipino Martial arts that is called "Sikaran" it is a foot based fighting that is made by farmers, I'm trying to modify it's techniques so that in can be famous one day. I really like your vids!❤❤❤
If you can overcome that 3rd one you'll be a better fighter than most people looking to do you harm in the world I feel, however I feel that can depend on where you live and your lifestyle.
Usually I’m always calm in my everyday life even when I do martial arts I’m always calm and never get frustrated I always welcome a spar even if I’m new to this (2 months) because I get to learn more as I spar So my tip is always accept a light spar and ask them to teach you moves after the spar it’s a great way to learn and improve I have 3 of the guys from my gym going on debut I always wanted to spar with them but they are busy training so I don’t ask them much So basically like I said take Light spars whenever you can no matter how strong ur opponent is, or how weak you are they are more then happy to help us new people improve!
As a professional “You can’t defeat a fighter if he blocks a punch with his face” i can confirm the last😂😂😂 Edit:I take Back Kicks to my Stomach also😂😂😂(Btw it doesn’t hurt as much😅)Conditioning
Yeah. Some days ago I sparred some guys, and they were so agressive that day haha. I train Muay-Thai, so you can imagine how much hard crosses, hooks and kicks I got that day. It hurts? Yeah, but it's not that bad. I just kept going.
I got hooked to the face once with decent power (been doing kickboxing for about 8 months) and it didn't really hurt, but it kinda shocked me and shaked me up a little. Thats about it, it definetely feels weird to get hit on your jaw.
A girl once in my taekwondo had talked behind my back to another student that “nobody liked me” and that I “had no friends” I’m not the type to make a big deal about stuff like this but she had deliberately been rude and very disrespectful to me and made it obvious, I had confronted her abt it and she denied, Denied, denied, obviously I didn’t believe her, so the person she was gossiping too had told me, because he was actually a nice person, I handled it by just telling her to not talk abt me like that and to never again, or else we’ll have a problem, so yeah, now she’s nice to me and idk what her deal was, she’s way prettier than me too, so don’t let jealous ppl bring you down
I started training hand-to-hand combat fight sport and broke my toe at the first training. Thats fucking awesome. Its a 1-1.5 month for healing instantly
As someone who got dragged across the house because i made my mother a bit too mad and got kicked in the face by my 8 year old brother like almost everyday its not that scary to be punched in the face.
I don’t know if y’all agree but I feel like the best martial arts to learn to help you is judo to be able to take down people easily, bbj for like judo and submission, Krav Maga to be able to end things fast if I remember that what it teaches you and something which is versatile with punches and kicks like kung fu or karate y’all choose that 😅😅 that’s what I feel idk if I’m wrong or not 😅
Getting kicked in the solar plexus sucks, but is actually easy to counter~~~ Also, your reflexes are a helluva lot better than you think, ESPECIALLY when the alternative is a longsword to the chest~~~ 😅😅😅😅
I am Beginner Boxer and my Endurance and Durability is My best key I got punched in face 10+ times and in stomach 10+ and Stomach was more painful at the time but My cheek pain lasted longer. But if you don't touch it you will not feel pain still depends on who punchs you and how hard.
Getting punched in the face is more likely do more damage to the other persons hand than to your face. The shock is the worst bit but you get used to that.
I still remember the first time I got punched in my face.. the person I was training was a black degree. That punch snapped me out of my tiredness I had from 3 hours of training.. it felt bad for a moment at that time. But now, we both laugh at that memory😅❤

Getting punched in the face is actually one of the lightest punches you can take
it dosent really hurt unless its that bone part over the nose
Unless it's not a concussion
yeah but they are annoying asf when you get hit on the nose
it's 10 times worse to be hit in the stomach than in the face, and that is something that people should know
Getting punched in the face also risks the opponent of breaking their hands so I'd rather take plenty of it than in the body or stomach.
Remember guys, pain may hurt at first, but sooner it will become part of your lifestyle during training and you won't mind it at all, stay strong!
Definitely, you get used to it fast👍
I'm good at blocking punches with my face..😮
@@stevendiosdado5985 like with what? Your forehead? That’s the only part of your head I think you can block with, effectively at least 😅

I've been boxing for about 3 years now love this channel and its good to see someone giving tips that aren't bs. Keep up the great work. 👍
Agreed! Especially of the last one! Once I was punched in the face so I have empirical knowledge about being punched to the face
One the most valuable lessons I learned in class is how to take a punch, strike or fall. In that process, I lost my fear of getting hit.
I love your martial arts so much that i got back to martial arts and now im very happy,ur my inspiration❤❤
I completely agree i used to fear getting punched and the moment i stoped fearing it i beat my older brother

Usually I’m always calm in my everyday life even when I do martial arts I’m always calm and never get frustrated I always welcome a spar even if I’m new to this (2 months) because I get to learn more as I spar
So my tip is always accept a light spar and ask them to teach you moves after the spar it’s a great way to learn and improve
I have 3 of the guys from my gym going on debut I always wanted to spar with them but they are busy training so I don’t ask them much

Believe this guy. Gets punched or kicked in the face or anything is actually felt good, even when youre bleeding.

If you only watch fights on YT before your first training, lowkick and liver punch will be big surprise for you
#4 get rid of any ego you might have before you enter they gym.
Yeah like the first 3 punches are really valueable and from that moment it isn't as bad
Its the hard teeps that will make you think twice 😂
Me watching this after 10 years of martial arts 🥋
You are like my brother I never had. Blonde and blue eyes like me. Thank you for all theese chad videos and pls make a video how to get that jawline
Liver shot is actually much more painfull than a punch to the face

"Punch in the face isn't that hurting as you think"
Me fighting a boxer : 💀
Yes , you should worry to that one guy that love the front kick on solar plexus 😂
I am Beginner Boxer and my Endurance and Durability is My best key I got punched in face 10+ times and in stomach 10+ and Stomach was more painful at the time but My cheek pain lasted longer. But if you don't touch it you will not feel pain still depends on who punchs you and how hard.
I just realized this guy kind of looks like Milo from the movie morbius.
Getting punched in the face is more likely do more damage to the other persons hand than to your face. The shock is the worst bit but you get used to that.
4th thing is you will suck at the beginning. But if you're consistent and trying to get better you will inevitably see results
Getting punched by someone in your weight class actually feels pretty good
Thanks for the last advice 💪
Number 4: Pain is just weakness leaving the body...

Well last week i got sparring i thought punch is worst but getting kick is something else
I still remember the first time I got punched in my face.. the person I was training was a black degree. That punch snapped me out of my tiredness I had from 3 hours of training.. it felt bad for a moment at that time. But now, we both laugh at that memory😅❤
Convert frustration into strength
Don’t tense up be calm and use your opponent’s energy against them
