He made the dough was too crumbley and dry, rolled them way too thin, definetly didnt chill the icing and for sure made the icing way too runny. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and salt until JUST mixed. Depending on your weather, you made to need to add more flour or more milk. Dough should be sticky but not leave a residue on your finger. You can refrigerate if you like, but not necessary. Generously flour counter and roll out to 1/3 to 1/2 inch think and cut out. Bake at 350 (or 325 if your oven runs hot) for 8-12 minutes, depending on size of your cookie. Top should look less wet, but not totally dry. Sides should be only LIGHTLY brown. I like no brown at all. This is a SOFT sugar cookie. Let rest until room temperature and put either Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines VANILLA frosting on top (never whipped). Never Pillsbury. Or make your own. if not eating right away, store unfrosted cookies in an air tight container with a slice of bread to ensure softness. Grandma totally got into Heaven for sharing this recipe.
