Dang, that victory music brought back so much nostalgia. I remember getting the KV-1S and drooling over the sound of its main gun and doing 300-400dmg per shot. This trip down memory lane was amazing and can't wait to see more of them.
The victory music was on the console version of the game too several years ago, so it was a trip down memory lane for me too (IDK if it still is, the last time I played WoT console was like 4 or 5 years ago). When was it removed from the PC version? I only started playing the PC version a couple of years ago so I don't know.

@@codyfrench7668 it was and still is completely P2W because of the 122mm derp with HEAT, I found it to be even worse than it was when it was the original KV-1S. the 85mm got a buff a few patches back, too. Since it got to T6 again with the HP increase it's not as toxic anymore but 370 dmg with 150 pen with a 10 sec reload is still way too good imo.

they do it some years ago, for a limited time of trial then remove definitely. It's was funny replay with this tank, the true Chaffee and many other tanks that WG changed or remove. Also I want to have again a platform with old mechanics and old tank, but I think WG will never make because they know that too many people stop playing current version for older version and they don't sell nothing anymore
THIS is the World of Tanks I miss, when I had loads of fun, when I was actually thinking about playing it all day, when it was exciting to learn more about the game. Sadly have moved on since the game changed too much…
Sadly I think the same game brought to current day would be a total mess. While there are some bad things that current WoT has (premium better than tech tree, stupid high tier meta), the old WoT was kinda "fun" because most people are still very clueless and just not really competitive about the game. A modern player would be mad when they are told to play pz 38 na meeting the old tier 9 IS-4 without sixth sense even existing, or playing stuffs like the old tier 3 meeting a KV with KV-2 turret and 107mm gun.

The game mechanics were and are fun (for me), but it was just a game of "older players seal clubbing every match against lower tiers". Yup use to be M18 Hellcat and M36 Slugger. However the Slugger name has always been hotly contested as being possibly fictional and invented by model kit makers. Hence why it's now called the M36 Jackson. Even the Jackson is an unofficial name that nobody quite knows where it comes from (since it's named after a Civil War General most people think it's a British nickname for the vehicle which follows suit with the Grant, Lee, Sherman etc.).
Marder II, they nerfed it like 5 times in a row. It had a beastly gun for it's Tier, and about 500+ meters of view range. It could see most of the smaller maps, just sitting still with binoculars on.
Before it was nerfed ELC AMX plz. That tank was such a blast to play, especially when you rushed the enemy, shot them and then hugged their side so they couldn't hit you cause it was such a tiny tank. There was even a guy with like 7 crew skills which at the time was absolutely mental, QB even did a video on him.
Suggestion for the next video: IS-4 at tier 9, it was an absolute monster. Or maybe Bulldog with that outrageous machine gun 10 round autoloader, probably my favourite tank ever.
My favourite tank in the game was the tier 4 Matilda and I still remember getting 1-shot by these things years ago just after I started playing the game.

The KV1S, Hellcat, and ELC were soo good back in those days. Most matches at the mid tier were usually atleast 3-4 KV1S per game as the main Heavy tanks.
Yeah I loved it when it was historic semi prototype tanks, played it for 10 years or so then dropped off after 1.0 due to the change in direction of the game and worsening/realising how much of a pay 2 win game it is and not wanting to continue to spend any more money on the game.
You can relive the fun for a little money with the KV-122. It plays pretty much the same but it’s definitely a harder sell in todays tier 8, OP, premium tank, spamming meta.
i cannot remember when they nerfed/changed the KV, but could be fun if it was possible to get some old replays of that XD could also be fun to see some, T30 tier X heavy, or pre nerfed hellcat :D

Its funny, how WoT has changed, how maps were added and discarded, new tanks and so on. Its funny to play on Xbox, because it includes all maps and tanks that has been or even aren't in the game yet. Having 3 tier 10 tanks in the line to superconqueror is only an example. Or premium obj. 268 v5 - obj. 268 with a turret. Uts fun to play dragon ridge, port or province. And many more. But importantly - THE WT AUF 100 IS THERE TOOOO.
This is the tank that made me love the game and decide to go down the IS-7 line. I remember being fairly new and getting one shot while I was playing my M5 stuart and being in complete disbelief and thinking I had to get my hands on this thing as fast as possible.
I wish you could do more of the classic tech tree tier 7-10 tank guides and how to play them ,the likes of Centurions and IS....ect since many features have been added. Great video though, loved it.😁😁
As originally a Beta player, thanks for the trip down memory lane! The 'remove speed governor' was added. Early games never used to have them. Earlier game also didn't have the crew skills such as 6th sense. The in-game chat comments are quite amusing let alone the cross chat back in the day stirring up the opposition 😂 I'd love Wargming to bring back these older patches, tanks and maps.
I remember some of the old mechanics and metrics of WOTs as I started playing in Nov. 2013 in my first account. We still had tier 1 playing against tier 10 tanks, which was challenging.
That did seem good, no wheelies yoloing around or broken reward tanks. Nice to see old replay from the tines when I did not even play this game yet. Started in 2015. Thank you.

Damn...this video is so nostalgic. Kv1s was my first tier VI vehicle and that was the only tank I played (literally every single day before and after school) back in the day before they nerfed it. Good old days...I played 3000 battles before they nerfed it and only a few battles after the nerf. I was so disappointed when I saw there's no KV1S in my garage anymore. KV1S you'll always be in my heart!!!! Thank you for this video QB, it brought some great happy memories.

WG did move the KV-1S to tier 5 after they reworked it, but it was moved back to tier 6 during the tech tree revisions when the KV-85 became a collector's vehicle
I think this tanks more brawny twin brother, the old tier 6 KV-3, might also be worthy of a "before it was nerfed" video. That armor profile at that tier, especially before the times of gold rounds for credits, made it an absolute god-tier brawler in my opinion.

Thanks for the memories. The KV-1S was a monster. So was the Type 59 -at 1st - roaming around in a wolfpack platoon of Type 59s was almost unfair. Also, shoutout to the Vk 36.01 when it was a medium -- that tank was also a beast.
Great video and memories QB! May I suggest: 1. The VK36.01 (before they changed/nerfed the gun) 2. The Hellcat. The Hellcat was as outrageous as the KV1S, but for very different reasons, and 1. The original (ERB who?) battlefield speed/you can't hit me terrorist... the PZ-1 C. I can't remember the number of times we would taunt the opposing team in chat that we were going to do laps through their lines.... before the battle. Record was three full laps--whilst spotting out all of their arty and TDs :-D.
It's been so long since I've watched or played this game. Thanks for the Nostalgia Quickybaby. I once used a Luchs to ram one of these off of a cliff into the ocean on the Cliff map. Those were fun times.
A couple of things to remember from this video: Quickybaby is Engaging in a "fail platoon" by Signing up with a tier 5 while playing a tier 6 tank in the 2nd replay. M37 is tier 3, meaning the m7 Priest was tier 4 at the time.(Arty only went up to tier 8) The M18 is the hellcat, not the Jackson. A Stock Jackson Was Called the "M36 Slugger" in the team pannel. When fully upgraded its name changed to "Jackson" in the team pannel. The Kv-1s Was moved back up to tier 6 as the KV-85 became a collector's vehicle, though it still feels like a tier 5. Airfield has barely changed since 8.2 Consumables were single use before the stun mechanics were added to arty in 9.17.1 No stupid burst meta of T8 premium tanks(Progetto, Bourrasque, Skoda t56). Type 59 was considered one of the rarer and best tanks at the time.
And then all the wot blitz people going like "What are you talking about mister QB? This is exactly how it is today. The same 122 mm gun, same top speed, same gun depression, same tier. Its all there!"
I think I got my first ever Radley-Walters medal in the old KV-1S. It was so much fun. Surprising that WarGaming haven't released a Premium version of it like they did with the ISU-152K.
Fun Fact if you want to play this nowadays the World of tanks Blitz Tech Tree still has the original KV-1S! I loved playing it and it makes for a right good time.
Remember that tier 6 and below used to have worse hp than now, so having 390 alpha at tier 6 back then is just insane

Damn...this video is so nostalgic. Kv1s was my first tier VI vehicle and that was the only tank I played (literally every single day before and after school) back in the day before they nerfed it. Good old days...I played 3000 battles before they nerfed it and only a few battles after the nerf. I was so disappointed when I saw there's no KV1S in my garage anymore. KV1S you'll always be in my heart!!!! Thank you for this video QB, it brought some great happy memories.
Being in WOT since beta, I'm loving these trips down memory lane. Its amazing to see how this game has grown.

The sound in the first battle was so much better than it is today... It's just brutal...
Proof that the 1s was op back in the day is that with only minor changes it still kicks ass as a t7 in the form of the kv122
WG did move the KV-1S to tier 5 after they reworked it, but it was moved back to tier 6 during the tech tree revisions when the KV-85 became a collector's vehicle
I remember, we won a T6 tournament with these lol. The strat was just to stack these and hopefully have a decent plan.
I think this tanks more brawny twin brother, the old tier 6 KV-3, might also be worthy of a "before it was nerfed" video. That armor profile at that tier, especially before the times of gold rounds for credits, made it an absolute god-tier brawler in my opinion.
fun fact: that music was from a strategy game from WG that is called Order of War (probably also in Operation Bagration, but I have never actually managed to try it)! :)
These were fun to play in platoons. When it was nerfed, I never once played the KV-85.

Thanks for the memories. The KV-1S was a monster. So was the Type 59 -at 1st - roaming around in a wolfpack platoon of Type 59s was almost unfair. Also, shoutout to the Vk 36.01 when it was a medium -- that tank was also a beast.
Pz IV with schmalturm and kv-1 with kv-2 turret. Those was my first credit makers ;)

Great video and memories QB! May I suggest:
1. The VK36.01 (before they changed/nerfed the gun)
2. The Hellcat. The Hellcat was as outrageous as the KV1S, but for very different reasons, and
1. The original (ERB who?) battlefield speed/you can't hit me terrorist... the PZ-1 C. I can't remember the number of times we would taunt the opposing team in chat that we were going to do laps through their lines.... before the battle. Record was three full laps--whilst spotting out all of their arty and TDs :-D.
It's been so long since I've watched or played this game. Thanks for the Nostalgia Quickybaby. I once used a Luchs to ram one of these off of a cliff into the ocean on the Cliff map. Those were fun times.
I stopped playing this game over a year ago, im glad that someone can still enjoy it.
I've been present for the OP KV-1S. Those were the best days of WoT. Everyone used to have absolute blast back then.

A couple of things to remember from this video:
Quickybaby is Engaging in a "fail platoon" by Signing up with a tier 5 while playing a tier 6 tank in the 2nd replay.
M37 is tier 3, meaning the m7 Priest was tier 4 at the time.(Arty only went up to tier 8)
The M18 is the hellcat, not the Jackson.
A Stock Jackson Was Called the "M36 Slugger" in the team pannel. When fully upgraded its name changed to "Jackson" in the team pannel.
The Kv-1s Was moved back up to tier 6 as the KV-85 became a collector's vehicle, though it still feels like a tier 5.
Airfield has barely changed since 8.2
Consumables were single use before the stun mechanics were added to arty in 9.17.1
No stupid burst meta of T8 premium tanks(Progetto, Bourrasque, Skoda t56). Type 59 was considered one of the rarer and best tanks at the time.
And then all the wot blitz people going like "What are you talking about mister QB? This is exactly how it is today. The same 122 mm gun, same top speed, same gun depression, same tier. Its all there!"
I just love how the cannon sounds, it makes you shake hearing it before. Hahahha!

I think I got my first ever Radley-Walters medal in the old KV-1S. It was so much fun. Surprising that WarGaming haven't released a Premium version of it like they did with the ISU-152K.
Fun Fact if you want to play this nowadays the World of tanks Blitz Tech Tree still has the original KV-1S! I loved playing it and it makes for a right good time.
