Loved this series. Council Skies is a fantastic album with Noel’s writing on point. Thanks so much for giving us a glimpse into his creative process 🎸🔥👍🏻🇬🇧
Love seeing how this album was made … such an amazing record it’s become my favorite… feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet Noel twice here in the US ….
Is there a part 4? Cant wait to see how you work orchestra tracks into song. Id imagine itsnot like a guitar part where you can talk about changes and do a retake, or make loops. The lady in charge might have roughed out a draft track on her laptops daw. I thought i caught a hlimpse of that but wasnt sure.
The Cheif would say to you it is not his problem you listen his music on a mp3 compressed by a shitty headphones build in china 10 years ago 😂😂😂 When you do the mixes you know some part are gonna be missed depends on the equipment you use. And even using a really good one you need to focus to realized some hidden parts. It is not a crime, it is what it is. Good records have this things. You need to listen 10 million times to listen some hide part. ❤❤❤
Great footage - obviously Noel is a legend. I do think these sessions seem to be over laboured. The songs seem to be drowned in multi layers of vocals and instrumentation, the chord structures are basic, which leaves me cold with all that layering. It doesn't have the complex arrangements or chord structures such as Pet Sounds, Pepper, Dark Side etc, therefore the whole aural experience is a case of 'throwing the kitchen sink' at it. I would have loved to hear a cleaner sounding album, with less instruments, let's hear Marr's guitar with just a drum and bass behind it, let's hear a single tracked vocal from Noel with just a few instruments behind it. Let the production breathe.
100% mate. I basically said the same thing before i read your comment comment. A lot of the stuff you see recorded here is barely audible or certainly you can't make it out..the strings and the female singers just end up sounding so processed that they could've been done on computer. But *listen* to the actual stings being recorded....❤
It's clearly a case of virtually unlimited budget, all resources, all gear, equipment, unlimited possibility, perfectly tuned environment/ studio, everything exactly how you like it...and pedestrian songs. There's no struggle. There's no reason to extend yourself when everything is so well at hand. So you just produce derivative technically perfect material that lacks impact. Nice songs, sure. But it's all too easy.
Thats your opinion but you would then also have to then question what you were watching part 3 of a making of noel gallagher youtube video for.....you absolute knobsicle
Anais... These are gold! Thanks for you and Dad for making these ❤️
Saw Noel last year in Sheffield
Blew me away great band great songs
Most rewarding of his solo albums

A great album which came out to minimal fanfare, but was really good. A lot of people dismissNoel's later work, but this is very listenable music.
I've absolutely loved watching this series. Brilliant.
These quick dives into their process are so great to watch. I'd love to see Noel compose an instrumental score for a feature one day.
The strings sound amazing. 👏
Truly Stunning
Those strings at the end are incredible could just listen to them for hours. Amazing composition.
Full circle with the Mike Flowers Pops backing vocals 👌
Noel for the next Bond theme.
Loved these so much xx
Amazing Insights
09:47 - shock of the lightning

Hmmmm It’s council skies, the song
Watching noel play the chords so i dont have to search for covers with dodgy interpretations on TH-cam 🙌🏻
What an incredible album. Glad I've a signed copy by the Chief himself
Very nice

Could watch this all day 👌🏼
Noel's best solo album imho.

Part 4 next Tuesday
The sad thing about these is, noels songs are so dense and layered that a lot of the stuff we see getting recorded here is barely audible in the mix
When I use my reference headphones you can hear a whole lot more but yeah generally speaking I know what you mea n.

@pluk1606 I would respond to "the chief" 🤢that I listen to many records like that and they sound great
10:35 on is fucking beautiful

Agree. It's sounds so much better with him, the back up singers and the acoustic. The strings are nice but not really necessary imo.

Can I wank in your basement with you?
Is she that grinning cello player who was always on Jools Holland etc years ago?
Noel .Nunca te reúnas con Liam, es un resentido
Nice to see the chief at the office. Even though most of the songs sounds really boring to me

Musically he is getting closer to Phil Collins vibes
He'd love to hear that lol
@@McFlurryMachineIsDownhe'd kickoff
Not sure what that means but in my opinion his songwriting is getting better
@@harrylaingross5983 If they are getting better where's the hype and hysteria like from the 90's and all those classic songs he wrote?
