I am a musician and guitarist and am just getting back into Oasis again. I obviously liked their hit songs back in the day but now I appreciate them even more. Noel is an amazing songwriter and a solid guitarist. He wrote some absolute anthems that will be respected for generations

Oasis' music really stood the test of time. My favourite Oasis song is D'you Know What I Mean and if that would release today, it would be even greater than back in 1997.
Do you the know meaning of flop? The fact you recognise it as a number 1 makes your statement even more confusing! It sold 350,000+ in its first week. It was massive in its own right, regardless of being the follow up to WTSMG. It’s still widely regarded as one of their best singles. There was a delayed critical backlash against Be Here Now, but even that is largely re-evaluated these days. DYKWIM was massive, it couldn’t be further from a flop.
My favourites are nearly all from Be Here Now. Also The Masterplan, Round Are Way, Whatever, Supersonic, Some Might Say, Morning Glory, Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times, The Importance of Being Idle.
Oasis has stood the test of time even for hundreds of years to come. Used to think Noel and Liam quite scary. Until recently picking up Oasis songs again and watched Noel's interviews that has changed my view on him. He is not just a genius song writer he is a very smart funny guy.
The most overlooked tune Oasis and what Noel ever written and put out is Lyla ... to this day it has one of the best intos an riffs in-between in rock n roll historehh !!
Andy Goldstein does not get enough plaudits. He’s 10/10. What a geezer. Gets on a level with every human, regardless of their prestige or personality. He should be prime time TV.
Hi Noel!. I have been a fan since I heard "Take Me Away" along with "Supersonic" (the guitar solo still amazes me)...(edit: In around 1995 I think) I wish I could write songs as good as you have made. Hopefully one day I will!!.... No, I believe in myself. I definitely will :D. But seriously, at 38 I am grateful for all of the good music you've made. Cheers!!!!.

It's not *one* thing, or *one* Dylan voice, is it? That's how you know someone really hasn't taken the time to support their opinion. Highway 61 Revisited is a million miles from Infidels which is another million miles from Nashville Skyline.
Noel is a cranky 8888 with a nasty streak - Supersonic is my favourite too - love the way Liam sings it... I refused to listen to them because they were d88ks to Michael Hutchense - 10 years ago, found that pretty much everything is great...
I couldn’t pick a single Oasis somg as my favourite. Theres too many awesome songs that I absolutely adore for different reasons. I suppose if forced to pick one I would lean towards Live Forever or Don’t look back in anger but it would be a close thing.
I remember hearing supersonic on the car radio when it came out. In America they didn't play many bands from the UK so it was even more of a stopper. I thought who the F was that.

That just lets ya know how 'in-tune' Creation Records was w/what tunes to release as singles over here Stateside... 'Champagne Supernova' was a *"radio-only"* single over here in America... Right, the Journey of the 90s thinks his arena rock from the 70s that he recorded in the 90s and pretended was alternative, has "stood the test of time." Dude, they were some other time to begin with, Steve Perry.
@jimijackson Noel is not a redhead, he never said he was. He found his facial hair was red when it grew, that can happen - It was the same with my Dad in 1970’s when I was a toddler (he was 27).
