@@MidNightKamisamathe joke is that wataru inata who designed lots of armored core mechs over the years also designed some of the g-witch mechs, and this one looks particularly inspired
So basically, the Zowort Heavy is pretty much the Gundam version of a standard 1st to 3rd Gen Armored Core loadout. Rifle in hand, cannon and missile launcher in the back, and laser blades in the arms.
The missile pod has a symmetry that splits it horizontally instead of vertically like the cannon, if you want to put it on the opposite side, flip it upside down so the peg port is on the other side
Interesting thing to note about the Zowort Heavy's kit, it doesn't have any extra parts like you would normally have from kits that are a variant of another kit. Meaning, you can't make a basic Zowort head with the blade antenna with the Zowort Heavy Kit. It seems like the runners are modular now in the molding where some parts are included and some parts are omitted depending on the kit.
I agree because Bandai is inconsistent when they do this. Some model variants get nothing but others like the origin kits include everything despite both being on the shelf.
Interesting that the zowort heavy is missing the antenna, implying that it’s for actual military use instead of the ritualized combat like the academy versions.
The Heindree is another great example of that. It normally has this almost knightly look with its shield Lance combo, helmet shaped head (antenna included of course) and brightish blue coloring. Meanwhile the Sturm has guns all over a much bigger shield and a darker color scheme. Its like the duel suits are specifically designed to look more knightly, more majestic to hide the real purpose of these suits that we see in their more militarized versions.
Every time I see these kits it makes me excited of the possibility for armored core kits in the future. Also the way these unit fight in the show is very armored core too.
if you are interested in armored core kits I very recently found one for an acceptable price in a comic and games convention. there's still hope that some are still around!
Bro I know right? The bulky chassis, skinny arms, the neckless head and the legs being soo far apart. Last thing it needs is a straight up laser blade.
WFM kits just don't miss, man. So simple yet so good in building, posing, and playability. And they're dropping a new HG Pbandai wfm which is the Gundam Jiu and looks like an absolute beast of a kit. I can't freaking wait!
The head change seems to make it look less like an AC Core, and even more like the prototype armor from the Halo anthology anime. Also, the missile launcher looks like you could just rotate the launcher around to reverse it that way for plugging into the other side because the top and bottom seem to be the same there
I just used that chrome marker for the first time last night, and immediately went and added chrome accents to a bunch of older builds on my shelf. WOW.
since the 3mm hole on the missile launcher is in the middle and the launcher is vertically symmetrical, you should be able to put it on the other side by just flipping the articulating arm 180 degrees
1:40 Gaikotsu, if you like the box-art so much, why don't you give some credits to the actual illustrator? They usually put his/her name on the box or manual.
For the shoulder joints sinking in to the chest I found you can pry it back out easily using a stick or pair of tweezers, there's a gap in the back of the socket you stick it through and use the leverage to swing it out

I didnt catch this during Mecha's review on the regular Zowort, but now that theres two of them, i just realized that their legs are somewhat similar to Gundam Pharact. the leg tech seems promising to replicate en masse, huh?
It looks like the missile launcher attachment point is centered so you could rotate the arm 180 degrees and allow it to attach onto the other side of the shoulder give that the weapon is rotationally symmetrical.
I wonder if they will make an option set for the Pharact's new beam rifle ( copied from the Strike Freedom mechanic) found in episode 14 in Witch from Mercury and the option weapons for the Zowort found in episode in episode 9 of Witch from Mercury (here's hoping for those beam gattling like attachments) but knowing Bandai it's hard to say.
You know in halo legends, there was a spartan prototype exosuit that looks very similar to the zowart. I hope I see a custom of that (primarily cuz of the face).
at 11:48 you say you can only fit it to one side but if you flip the launcher upside down ad then rotate the the connector surly it would fit both sides?
I am happy ambidexterity is becoming a standard with kits. The cannon from the Vee Two weapons annoyed me a little for not being fully mirrored, despite the missile launcher being full-ambri-bro!
More 30-Minute Missions/Witch from Mercury mashups when? I can imagine a few 30MM armaments slotting into the base build attachment points a bit better than the Lfrith video you did before.
Uhm you can just flip the missile launcher. Top and bottom are the same anyway. It'll just be an eyesore if both sides have holes when you can just reorient them
With that chunky chest, it's safe to say that the core is well armored.
HA!
I see what you did there!
Since I lurk in the r/Gunpla subreddit, I've seen this model kit used for lots of AC kit bashes. Someone did a quad leg one recently.
No, different things.

the same with the delanza sol
the one that was comiting war crimes
Ah yes, ms from my favorite series Armored Core: Witch from Mercury.
