    Hello young man ,i got a 350 classic about two weeks ago ,bronze as well and the one thing you slightly missed out was the music that this time machine puts out ,when you come off the throttle to go down a gear ,then blip the throttle as you go down it just sounds beautiful .This is a proper show off bike ,all the pops and bangs from the exhaust and the looks ,every time i go past the café i have to give the throttle a little blip and i know i am old enough to no better being a young man of 62 .The best bit of advice for anyone sitting on the fence about the classic or the meateater is get the classic and forget about the performance stats they are irrelevant unless you are on a motorway ,this bike has more than enough ,and when you go up the gears it will put a huge grin on your face it makes you feel like Steve McQueen riding that bike at the end of "The great escape" ,and it sounds the same as well ,sorry for the long post i think i have fallen for this miracle machine .chris

    The moment you mentioned Mental Health and the fact that riding might actually help to heal within, my decision was made.
    Thanks for the video buddy.

    This bike is so much more than the specs...
    Have had mine now for about 10 weeks, just hit 500 miles. DId the first service (oil/filter, valves, etc) and enjoy it more every time I ride. Got my son one too and our buddy also got one. They're all beautiful and different colors - Bronze/Chrome, Halcyon Grey, and Halcyon Green.
    I've owned a lot of bikes since I started riding as a kid in 1971. Many of them spectacular, but none of them get the attention this one does! If you're shy and don't like people, don't buy one...you'll get asked about it wherever you are!
    Also, I'm 6'-4". 230lbs, and it's very - surprisingly comfortable. I moved the shifter up one tooth and moved the bars back slightly - about 1/2" or so. Perfection!
    Only thing that bummed me out was the early valve check/adjustment. Moreso the cost - two local dealers wanted $500US and $630US respectively. Insane, right? Found a great local shop that did it for $165 and I put in Motul 5100 15w50. Purring like a cat now!
    Just ordered some parts from hitchcocks in the UK - 16 tooth front sprocket, and a new kit with an oiled air filter and more free-flowing cap. Should be here this week. I've read good things about both.
    Also, in keeping with more UK bits, I got a Beeline Moto GS puck. Fantastic device! Very easy to read in day or night, and is a nice alternative to riding with a big hone strapped to your bars!
    Nice video - thanks for posting. If anyone is even thinking of getting one, unless you don't understand it's limits with a smaller motor, don't hesitate. It's the most fun i've had in 50 years!!!
    Ride Safe 🙏🏼

      Hi Scott, great to hear that you are enjoying the Classic 350 so much 👍 Brilliant your son and friend have one as well, all in great colours!! Bet you have a blast riding them around. Yes the early valve check adjustment is an odd one. So expensive as well, RE need to sort that out. Seems to be the same with all their single engines.
      Sounds like your have made some great mods to the bike as well. Thanks and all the best

    That’s exactly what I did! I got one as my 2nd bike , the side covers are indeed made of metal, the left side one contains the air filter, I’m finding that I take the 350 out more for my shorter trips , I’m glad you rode it , I get tons of compliments on this bike !! 👍🏼

    Glad you liked the bike. I bought a Marsh grey signals version about 6 weeks ago (no idea why they call it marsh grey, it's olive drab green). It will not win any races that's for sure, but it has its own presence on the road and gets lots of questions and looks. Easy to ride and handles well. It may look great on the back roads of the UK but it also knocks it out of the park on the Pacific Coast Highway here in Southern California as the Harley riders give it a thumbs up as they pass you. The stock seat is a bit uncomfortable after an hour or so but i have a comfort seat on order from India on the way. I have a few bikes that are bigger and more powerful, but this is the one that's getting ridden at the moment and is the most fun by far.

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      👍 Loved it. As you say there are plenty more powerful bikes, but the Classic 350 is just so much fun to ride. Such a charming and characterful motorcycle. • @keithmarsh1169
    @keithmarsh1169 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Really good video. Very concise and all the information anybody would need when considering this bike. I think the bike looks very authentic. It gives you the looks and the reliability and also abs (unlike some of the so called classics of old). I have had a test ride recently on both the classic 350 (same colour as the one you tested) and also the Interceptor 650. They are obviously two different kinds of bike. I did enjoy the performance of the 650 but also liked the quaintness and better (in my opinion) of the 350 so I am torn between the two! Having ridden both of them yourself , what do you think? On a last note, I really applaud your bravery in highlighting your mental health issues and feel sure that things will improve for you soon and that If you need to go back on antidepressants for a short time then so be it. Best wishes.

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Keith, thanks so much I appreciate it and really pleased you liked the video 👍
      Two great bikes, personally I would go for the Interceptor 650. The extra power and just something special about that bike that I loved!! As a second bike I would have the Classic 350 for something a bit different and it really embodies the classic vibe. The Classic 350 is a real feel good bike 😁 I would say the build quality on the 350 is better than the Interceptor.
      Many thanks, and all the best

    Lovely chilled out review, thank you. Totally agree about the pillion seat, first thing I did was to remove that and the rear pegs. As for the little handles, the one on the LHS anyway, is brilliant to lift the bike onto the centre stand, another feature many manufacturers charge extra for. As for the price, the chrome model is the most expensive, The Haycyon series are a couple of hundred pounds cheaper, making it even more brilliant value. Stay safe, stay happy keep the good vibes going! 🦄

    Nice review, thank you. I bought a new 2022 RE 350 Classic in Halcyon Grey (comes with a nice brown seat), which looks like a powder/baby blue. I have been riding 40+ years & I love it! Sweet spot is 80-85km/hr, surprisingly smooth motor, 100mpg imperial, amazingly comfortable seat, beautiful details. 115 km/hr is top for me, 95kg. Only issue is my headlight shade/eyebrow rattles like a bastard! Those in the know say to put a bead of silicone to remedy this. Other than that, this one is a keeper !!!! Cheers from Canada, Ronny

    Price: by way of comparison the XRV Africa Twin was 5,300 GBP in 1992. The Classic 350 is a great little bike. One of these as a second bike makes a lot of sense, but so do several other small capacity bikes. The Classic looks better with the rear seat removed, like you say. Bybre = By Bembro.

      I’ve got a 350 in desert tan. You aren’t wrong about the relative power, but power to weight is not why anyone buys this bike. It’s just such a pleasant easy ride and nothing else looks like it. The engine has a long stroke so the torque is easy to use. Is it an Interstate cruiser? No. Do I care? Nope! It’s not for everyone, and that’s ok. Plenty of 100hp bikes on the road already.

    Very nice video, you pretty much nailed this bike. I bought my Bronze Chrome 4 weeks ago and is already due it’s 1st service. I bought for exactly what you said it was good for, relaxed country lane rides; feels totally planted and safe. Good build too, no rattles at all. FTR, those side pods are in fact metal not plastic. The offside one houses the air filter too. I chose not to put a small firearm in the other one, would get me shot by the fuzz, instead I can just about squeeze in a Kovix alarmed disc lock and reminder cable.

    In Australia, in another lifetime, in 1963/64, I rode a 1959 Triumph Thunderbird, and had the same such visor over the headlight. We referred to them as pedestrian cutters, that should we hit a person, the leading edge could inflict a serious injury. Later, the Transport Authority did indeed outlaw them for that very reason. I am looking forward to buying my first ever Royal Enfield 350 Classic in the next few weeks, and naturally have soaked up as many reviews on this bike as I can find on TH-cam. Interestingly, in all of these reviews, I have found them all positive in their appraisal of the bike...

    I have already ridden this heavy machine armoured with metals and iron.......the engine is slightly been retuned compare to CI and UCE as it is developed under J series platform and the next part of the context is the vibrations which has been reengineered and reworked in such a way that the vibrations is slightly been under control though it is above 195 kilograms because of ABS and disc but the best part which I liked is the colour themes or pallets which has been used specially the Halycon green and the chrome red and brown..... and the suspension setup is well engineered and the seats I at first glimpse thought it is a bucket seat which is slightly been scooped out but when I observes it closely it is one of the probable comfortable seats if buyers or riders doesn't bother to opt from or go for retro fittment overall my verdict it is good to go buck your penny for this.....💗💗

    Bad place to put a tracker, so easy to get into, literally take seconds 😬

    I wish they had kept the old speedo from the 500, and just stuck a little LCD in the blank spot. Or just left the LCD off, I know it's a bit of a nit pick on my part, but just takes a bit away from the bike for me.

      I like the new speedo, however I agree could have left the LCD off. Not a deal breaker for me though! Cheers

    Its the most important model in the Indian Market thats why they did extra care in the build quality.

      👍 That is a good point and makes sense. It does feel a notch better in build quality over some other RE models!
