I relate to you 💯 I’ve been reading since I can remember too and recently just gone back to reading because life and kids happened so I forgot how much I loved reading. My husband pushed and inspired me to just open an online bookstore and probably have people visit our place if they want to. So excited for your journey!❤
Your story is almost a mirror to my own, that ah ha moment of realizing I needed to open a bookstore was almost like a weight off my shoulders. It just makes so much sense and I don't know how I didn't think of it sooner. I have hundreds, but even though I've already read them, I want to hang onto them all. I had about 4 that I reluctantly put in a yard sale(but I had zero customers). I'm excited for you☺
I too have a hard time parting with books and my hubby tells me, sell it to others who haven't read it yet and i'm like okay then i have a hard time letting of them when i hand them over

Hey there Marilyn, This is a great question that I would love to elaborate more on but to start, I was say sell from your own collection first. Chances are if you liked what you have read, someone else will too. But also, I conduct research. What books are trending from what genre? Who are some popular authors that have a good reputation. I find that once you start selling, you will will be able to start to see where your audience leans towards. I love mystery and romance. Once people get to know me and enjoy my recommendations, they start to trust me when I offer up a recommendation from an author they have never heard of because they trust my judgement. If a book winds up on your shelf for longer than six months, it might be time to donate it. I will create a new video explaining more about how I do it!
Okay I made it about 7 mins in and I didn't see anything about how to start a online bookstore and not going to waste 1 more min when the only advice you have given up to this point is check this guy out. I know the title is different than how to open a online bookstore but you obviously have it tagged and was the 1st thing to pop up ty for wasting 8 min's of my time now comment included so technically I did waste 1 more min darn
