This man....perfect attitude, always a smile, positive demeanor....a real SUPERSTAR in my book. 53 yrs old and stylin. Representing those of us who are older and still riding for the love of the sport and exactly what SD said - you lose yourself when you're on that bike. Everything else just fades away. Two thumbs up!
I love this guy so much. I'm not a religious guy at all, but I follow this guy on Instagram and he's 100% the kind of guy that makes me open to religion, rather than push me away from it. He's got style, personality, and rides a Suzuki. What's not to love.
The lord tells us not to live in fear. He wants us to trust in him the more you trust the more you will be able to do. He wants you to have your dreams.I turn my life over to God at 33 yrs. Old I had nothing but trust . I am a carpenter I was able to ride dirt bikes with my son every weekend from the time he was 6 to 16. Fast forward the age of 38 me 65 . I now go riding mountain bikes on the weekend with a 7 year old granddaughter. Being a grandfather never once entered my mind . Only God could do that. I sure couldn’t have planed this. Blessed
Wow, that's so neat. I just turned 60 and looking forward to just meeting my 1st grandson. I look 4ward2 the day where we can go cycling or dirt biking if his parents are cool with the dirt bike. Jesus IS Lord, brother. Peep this story and tell me that God ain't great. 9 weeks ago I was riding on the rollers indoor, trying to rebuild some of the stationary balance that I lost from a cycling accident that caused me a traumatic brain injury. I could barely stay upright for three or four seconds at a time but that night I was hella determined I'm going to ride for 10 minutes come hell or high water. Of course I overdid it, 10 minutes was much too much. By the next morning I couldn't get out of bed, my back felt like someone had stabbed me and run me through from back to front. Initially I thought it was kidney stones because I've had those and they hurt like a son of a bitch but I dragged myself to the doctor and after a whole bunch of tests the doctor looked me dead in the eye and said you NEED to get to a urologist RIGHT NOW, your PSA test came back almost 14. I had no idea what the heck that meant but the urgency and fear on his face scared the crap out of me; people in my family have died from cancer. So I go to my primary doctor's brother who is a good urologist. He looked at the x-rays and scans and within 10 minutes said yeah that prostate's got to come out. so when I went to set up the appointment to do the biopsy because they can't operate without being 100% sure and the biopsies are how they find out. They told me that his office is contracted to an anesthesiologist who would not be ready for 2 months. So of course in my mind I'm thinking hell to the no, if something is inside of me cooking I want to know for sure and I want it out ASAP. Then I start looking through the internet for another urologist. the name Mitchell Benson popped up but it didn't mean anything to me because I never had to use someone like this. His office was in New York City and with my hooptie I'd rather get stuck close to where I live than in the busy metropolis like that. So I looked for others closer to me and made phone calls but none of them had any appointments in a week or so. As I kept searching and researching again Dr. Benson kept showing up over and over but it wasn't until I got this overwhelming Spirit feeling to call him did I actually shut the phone down and make the phone call. The receptionist at Dr Benson's office said that he didn't have anything sooner than more than a month out and I started getting depressed thinking 'dude is this a conspiracy against me?' Then the woman on the phone said the thing everyone with this level of worry wants to hear... "Give me your information and if there is a cancellation I'll stick you in." The next morning they called back and wanted to know if I wanted to come in that Thursday. HELL YES I'll take it. So I met Dr Benson and this man was just a complete gentleman, none of the puffed up I'm a doctor and god-like so you must bow to me egotistical BS. He was the antithesis if the bad bedside manner Doctor. If it wasn't for the fact that we're in completely different financial circles I would totally hang out with him and have a beer and dinner or whatever with him; he's such as nice man. Fast forward a week and a half later and I'm meeting Dr Benson in surgery to get the prostate biopsy. My tests showed a Gleason score of five. A four they take the let's wait and see what happens and just monitor it approach. Five bumps you up into the we should take this out just as a precaution to be safe. "Three weeks later I was in the hospital waiting to get my prostate removed. facebook.com/michael.james.9275/videos/10224615219906334/ It's now 7 days past my prostate removal. Yesterday I went to get the catheter out and Dr. Benson gave me the shock of my life. The biopsy of the removed tissue showed a Gleason scale of 7.8 and that's after only a few weeks from the biopsy which showed it as a very low five. 10 is the maximum on the Gleason scale so you can imagine the gut punch when I realize that damn thing was definitely trying to take me out. IT was extremely aggressive and in only those few weeks had everything not gone exactly like it did or if any one thing had changed I could have been in a world of hurt spending the rest of my life battling cancer or dying from it. Others will said that it was luck or fortunate or someone's watching out for me but I'm just going to come out and say it straight, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
