I'm so glad you included that wall jump from Daytona 2011. The TV broadcast didn't do it justice. I was there in person, and everytime he would hit it, you could hear a collective gasp from the audience/crowd. He was set to have a mind-blowing gap by the end of the race, but then he endo'd derailing the win. BUT, even after that rough endo, where he looked a little loopy, he got up and hit the wall jump first time out, and continued hitting it. Amazing, considering NOBODY else was even trying it.

That's a complete lie. First off Stewart's last 125 SX title was 04 which Carmichael sat out due to a knee injury in the off-season. Carmichael raced an RM 250 2 stroke in the 05 supercross, he didn't race a 450 until 06 in which he and Stewart both had 450's to ride. Nice try
His final record is 98 wins SX/MX combined, he is the second most winningest ama rider of all time... The absolute 125cc GOAT. He won 10/12 Motocross races in 2002. James gave us everything he had every lap no matter how he did it. Dude was full send from the drop of the gate. So his best moments to me are this.... He is moment. If you've ever had the chance to see him in person, you knew just how special he was and you were in for a show. He was doing things on the bike they said was impossible. Look at his scrub and Toronto 2014. You ain't supposed to be able to do that! Dude was just an out of body experience for the world to see. Unless you actually saw him ride in person, especially in a practice session or at an Am race, you really can't get a feel for the little things that he did that were so crazy. Florida fans probably don't realize what they were seeing all those years. Everytime I saw him ride in person he did something that made me question if I saw what I had actually seen. It was like he defied the laws of physics. That and the fact that he raced to win are what make him a legend in my book.

Nowadays when we get to hear JS commentating at MX and SC races we can hear that in addition to his physical abilities, he's extremely intelligent and knowledgeable which reminds me of how Jordan dominated all around in same ways.

To see Carmichael take the lead, then Bubba come up and take it to a new level was incredible. WOW. The impact he's made on the sport along with the memories. Several winters ago I watched all of Stew's Pro outdoor races starting with his first season on a 125. There are not adequate adjectives though I will say it was how I always wanted to ride except for the the horrifying crashes. The battles with Ricky Carmichael were epic.
Bubba was a perfect mix of skill and crazy. He was willing to let it all hang out and risk it all for a win. That's why he was fun to watch. Always riding at the limit. He's either winning or will crash trying.
2008 James Stewart was truly unbelievable. I was at Freestone and happened to be right in front of the roller section when he posterized Millsaps by trying to double them. No one really believed what they saw.
I went to school with this guy from elementary school to middle school. He had a severe accident while still in grade school broke a leg, his jaw, busted up face. And this man still went to school pieced back together.
Stewart is the reason every top rider is as fast as they are today. He was ahead of his time in raw skill and speed pushing motocross to levels never before seen.

Seriously…..why? I grew up watching Stewart, Carmichael, pastrana, etc. I can remember watching fox terrafirma documentary back when they interviewed the three of them when they were just kids. Just watching them getting along with each other and laughing together. Didn’t even cross my mind back then about the color of his skin. It was such a simpler and less racist time back then before all this woke crap. His dad and mom are hard working parents that pushed him and his brother to success. Bubba and mookie are great examples of American toughness and bad ass racing attitudes! Loved watching him and all the riders of that era.

Stewart coming around a corner on a 125 on the absolute edge is my favorite moment. When you are literally going as fast as the bike will go and both wheels are sliding at speeed around a corner is what I enjoy

And yes it's true, a buddy of fine Kyle D pointed out the scrape mark left in the ground from his foot peg........absolutely insane and worthy of this title with out a doubt!

I sort of have a Mandela Effect moment about #4, I remember him jumping the wall, I remember him crashing, but for a while I had melded those two things in my mind, and misremembered that he had done the wall jump a then a few laps later crashed on it, but it was a totally different section. Interesting how that stuff gets all jumbled and wrapped together in your head lol.

Your list is great however your leaving some more details out about your number 1 pick. For the 2008 season he came back in under 6 months from having his ACL being replaced. On top of that at thunder valley he tore his other ACL and continued to win the season out. Bubba revealed that in the reraceables podcast.

Man, I miss the days of JS7, RC4, and VR2 going at it. Those guys hung it out there like nobody else. Miss the days of riders that would risk hitting the quad to take the lead

One of my greatest childhood memories was watching him at Gator back on a 125 when he was like 17 years old racing the mini o"s at Gator back and watching him hit the elevator jump pinned was super dope... I watched him for many years a good childhood friend of mine Kyle Williamson grew up racing against him so I seen bubba Race many times before he went pro
You missed a lot of moments, many times he got a bad start or crashed and raced back up to 1st place. Even in the kawi 2 stroke days outdoors

I sort of have a Mandela Effect moment about #4, I remember him jumping the wall, I remember him crashing, but for a while I had melded those two things in my mind, and misremembered that he had done the wall jump a then a few laps later crashed on it, but it was a totally different section. Interesting how that stuff gets all jumbled and wrapped together in your head lol.
I don't remember the city but James and Ricky had a battle of the whoops and Ricky almost hit a boat when he pushed it to far every lap was a nail bitter
I don’t think there will ever be another rider as exciting as James was. From 🇨🇦, my favourite athlete of all time. Nobody in sports has been more watchable. Great in the booth too, offsets RC who is not good at all.

Your list is great however your leaving some more details out about your number 1 pick. For the 2008 season he came back in under 6 months from having his ACL being replaced. On top of that at thunder valley he tore his other ACL and continued to win the season out. Bubba revealed that in the reraceables podcast.
