Go Jimmy go!! I’m testing my aquarium more regularly now, finally had high Mish nitrates so bringing them down to that 10-20 sweet spot now 👊🍻🥰 I been running carbon for the last couple months tho while I was fighting Dino’s and heavy feeding to increase the nitrates

What’s the difference between carbon reactors and carbon dosing?

I hope we get a blooper episode at the end of the series. There is no way it wouldn’t be hilarious.

Sweet Porsche Jimmy! Gotta go reef tank on it with the next wrap and put some Finding Nemo characters on there.

Mr Saltwater should have sent a small ziplock bag of chaeto in it so Jimmy thought it was a bong 😂😂🍻😉👊

Put the bag of carbon in front of return pump, so water is pulled through the media. Saves spending silly money on nyos reactors.

Do you run media 24/7? I heard it isn’t a good idea. I also heard carbon usually gets depleted in 7 days. Someone told me it’ll strip important elements from the tank so don’t run it more then a week at a time

I run carbon for a week and then toss it. Then I start it again when I start seeing the yellowing of the water. You don’t need to run carbon 247

Carbon also clean the water for light penetration

i've read that you shouldn't really run carbon 100% of the time as it can absorb good stuff from the system. Any tips for an on/off schedule of sorts?

I always used to this but I found it’s not essential
I stop using for months when it’s over and come back when water looks not so good

I hated the nyos reactor v1.

for most tanks doesn't worth it, I just put a bag in the sump not a reactor. reactors are expensive believe me.
