Love this series. I started my 100 gallon about 4 months ago and have yet to see phosphates either, so was thinking I was either doing something wrong or my Hanna checker was bad.
I can't keep phosphate in the water column. Testing using the Hanna ulr phosphorus tester and I dose the max of Neophos at .04 and come the next day I'm reading 0 phosphorus. So I ad 5 ml once in the morning and another before bed and end up seeing the phosphorus at 2ppb in the morning .Tank is just over a month old and dry rock come out of my smaller system that was placed in back in January. Any ideas on how to get it more stable? Also just about another week or so of dealing with diatoms which are subsiding with the help of bactor7. Some days I'll stop dosing bactor7 as my nitrates are between 3-5ppm any help or suggestions would be great. Also love the new videos lol.. oh also feeding small pellets to the fish twice a day but not helping.
I would like to know why my clove polyps started to shrink, and some of my zoas that I have had since day one, closed up, never to re open and then disappeared... then an acan that was doing well, all of a sudden started to recede only to die a week later... the clove polyps are now reduced to about half of what they were, and they are still shrunk, like half the size they used to be when open... what in the world happened... I tested everything... but phosphates...
I stopped testing for anything a year ago , I change 10 gallon a week, I 6 fish no coral, no clean up crew the fish ate them all, 90 gallons with a 5p gallon sump, ultraviolet, 2 skimmers
Mark doesn't agree with this, but if you started dosing Nitrate and Phosphate now, you would bypass the ugly stage almost all together. Everyone says the ugly stage will go away, but let me tell you, it doesn't go away before taking over about everything, killing some corals, and making your life a living hades.
I can't keep my tangs (pwd blue pwd brown dory) alive and I hear that my nitrate levels don't affect the fish what's going on can u help me? They used to be above 30 now I'm around 15. PLEASE HELP ME OUT

Add a 3rd skimmer, and you'll be halfway there.👍
