Haha. Always gets me as I drive a Ram 2020 and it kills me to see this. If you aren't towing it just looks down right dumb. Especially when it takes two seconds to flip down.
I heard the excuse. Its because they have to tow so they don't want to have to readjust the mirrors flipping them vertical and horizontal. My buddy tows maybe once a week so this really made me lmao.
Everyone's got their reasons. Maybe once I get a trailer long enough I'll under stand....not

Ford f250,because of the 10 speed,475hp,1050 lbs/ft torque,solid front axle,they fit 34.5 inch tires. Chevy trucks usually don't turn big tires easily from a steering standpoint. Rams are very cool love the 4 link and the motor is accessible to work on. They all have their pros and cons.
I bought it! 2020 3500 Laramie H.O. SRW in Delmonico Red w/ Night. 4.10s and the same options as yours(minus Mega Cab) Love your setup tho.

With this amount of money spent, I would definitely go for the ram 3500 with HO cummins and aisin transmission instead of all the cosmetic things.
hell woulda even went for a limited at that point, for about 4 grand more he woulda had literally every option available
I did a 3500 build on Dodge’s build a Ram site with everything he did, Laramie package, minus the sunroof or bed rail boxes. It was literally only about $4k more!!

@@james2042 Where I recently retired from, California, every pickup without a camper shell or cab over camper has to be commercially registered. Of course I instantly GTFO’d CA and moved to Montana. In MT, only vehicles weighing 10,001lbs or more or carrying more than 8 passengers for compensation have to be commercially registered!!
@@ibMoose2u thats federal law, and all 1 ton trucks are over 10,001lb gvwr so they have to be registered commercially. The reason 3/4th tons even exist is because people want heavy duty trucks without having to register them commercially. Here in ny anything above 6500lbs gvwr needs to be commercially registered, so half tons are fine but 3/4th tons are pointless here

Only one thing left to do, get rid of those Firestone Transforce tires! They get stuck on wet grass. You will love your truck even more by simply upgrading to a quality A/T tire even in the original size.

You got that right! Pretty sad that you spend that much for a new truck and it has about the biggest piece of shit tire you can buy. Ford and GM do it too just not with Firestone’s. Pathetic the first thing to make your brand new truck safe and useable is to buy new tires. If you read the reviews on those trans force tires it’s almost all Ram owners rightfully trashing them

Trying to hold out until the new body comes out! I love LOVE the mega cab but the rear seats are subpar when compared to the crew cabs the 1500s have. That rear seat and total flat floor are AMAZING.

How’s that ghost trailer tow? I tow a lot and own a mega cab n never have had the need for the flip out. I’ve heard it adds 20,000 HP but with testing I have personally not seen it. Pretty pickup though but fold them mirrors down!

First thing I did , was I took the rear head rest out , but I have no rear pass.

The Mega Cab’s have come a long way since 2006...and I still love Red! I definitely like the 2019/2020...that’s pretty awesome fuel mileage too! I’m still keeping an eye out for a red 5500 if I buy a new truck, but definitely not letting mine go anytime soon! How do you like the rear having coils, I heard they ride really nice?
if you're towing then get a 4500, the 4500 is set up for max tow, if you need the payload then of course get the 5500
Personally I’m a not a fan of the LED lights inside the cab. I like the halogen bulbs. Just my two cents.
I have the exact same truck without the skylight, spray bed liner, side steps and 12 in screen, and keyless entry. My 2018 last of the Gen 4’s delivered end of Oct. 2018 with air ride & two tone paint MSRP $68k. I didn’t want to wait for the Gen 5”s because I knew the MSRP would be more, looks like I was right by $10k. Love my Cummins, but need a 50 gal tank too but none offered from factory. I would have gotten the multifunction tailgate as my only change of yours. Wife drives. 1500 Hemi. We be RAM fans ! What brand tonneau is that????

I daily drive a 2018 mega cab Cummins, sport appearance pkg, bilstein level, 35” coopers. Love it. Might need to get some mud flaps like yours though!!!

Nice truck bro. My 1500 is granite w some mods to it. The flame red is pretty damn sweet tho w your heavy. I’m mulling a 2500 6.4. I don’t need the diesel and since having granite would consider other colors. Maybe night edition white. Anyway, sweet truck. RAM’s forever

I would love to order myself a new 2021 RAM, but prices here in Norway are EXTREME. (For a truck at aprox 70.000 USD in USA, it's roughly 200.000 USD in Norway due to taxes on weight and engine size) :-/

That 68rfe transmission is the only downfall. I would have opted for a 3500 with the high output and Aisin. Still a beautiful truck.

Why would you have preferred the 4.10 gears?
Better pulling. The issue is that, from the FACTORY, one can only get 3.73 gears with the Cummins, 4.10 with 6.4 Hemi gas. Rather have the Cummins, out 4.10 gears myself and reflash computer.
For the price, why not get a longhorn, all the same features and a full leather interior (and in my opinion a much nicer looking interior)
The CGI block is only for the H.O. model in the 3500.
The megacab does not share a frame, the wheelbase and frame are about 5 inches shorter.
The megacab 2500 with the cummins has a laughably low payload of around 1700lbs, if you plan on doing any serious work with a ram 2500, either get the gas (which will give you about another 700lbs of payload) or the normal crew cab (about 500lbs of payload)
Edit: any 2500 is not epa applicable, gas included. Anything with a gvwr of over 8500lbs, which this truck is a 10000lb
Level 2 does not include the 12 inch screen

Agreed, gawd I cant imagine how hard it'd be to park something like that on the street or in a grocery store parking lot. Even my 4th gen 2500 regular cab feels too big sometimes. Daily drive that thing? No way
@@thomassalazar3521 my crew cab short bed is 20 ft long . I found out when I brought it home how big it was . Have to back it in garage and had too move garage door out 3” and you can run a feeler gauge between garage door and front bumper . Well their building trucked bigger but to bad they didn’t start with garages first . 😁

The better miles per gallon came at the cost of kissing that massive warranty goodbye. My good friend deleted his 2021 and the motor blew at 5k. Miles. He undeleted it and they knew. Too bad so sad. $16 k later its working again with new engine.

I've had a coil spring 2500 and it road like garbage. I now have a leaf spring 3500, much better ride.
The only thing I don't like about RAMS is that the 2500 has less power than the 3500.
since when ? i thought they all had the same 6.7L i6 cummins but the 3500, 4500 & 5500 chassis just has way more extreme suspension to handle more weight. Elaborate! i’d like to know

@@Jumper365 the regular cummins is the same in the 2500 and 3500 at 850lbft (ever slightly detuned for the cab/chassis at 800lbft) but the H.O. at 1000lbft is a 3500 exclusive
