Thanks for enlightening us on the real world of pricing Pay cheap pay twice has been my answer to customers in the past Once they understand the pricing they have been alright, as they like honesty and feel they can trust you
@@user-ym1ff1vg8c yeah I have had a few like this and a few that have been sound, it’s an amazing contrast. But the price is the price it’s fair breakdown I don’t over charge.
I'm 56 and pretty handy, learned a lot from my Dad and my wife's dad who were both builders which has been a huge benefit to us over the years. Its been several years since I needed to do any building work and I was shocked how much material and labour costs have risen since then so I can well understand how people of a similar age that might have to rely on the trades but may not have had any work done for several years would be out of touch and shocked how much jobs can costs these days.
i always quote £27000 straight away for any job big or small.then once we stop laughing i give them a decent fair price and the shock element has gone.
I have had most of my customers with this mindset and eventually it breaks you down. Working becomes thankless to the point where you stop and question yourself. I have thrown the towel in now and gone for an early retirement all be on a budget, but at least I will hang on to my sanity and self respect.
If a customer says to me that’s expensive , I say I’m not expensive at all I’m reasonable, (which I am) I then tell them to get another 3 quotes and tell me how much they are ! Clients are fickle don’t ever barter your prices and suffer , they always say this to get you down and it brings bad vibes from the get go so always have the clients bang to rights straight away
First thing I check is the value of the property. It costs the same per m2 to render a 100k house or a 1 million pound house. The owners of a 100k house would never pay close to 10% of the value of their house for rendering say 100m2 whereas the owners of a million pound house would more likely pay 30k to render 300m2 as it would add more than that to the house value. Just my experience!
Hello mate, for my own property it has to be Krend thin coat, tc15 top coat. Or a full external wall insulation system from EWIpro. I will shoot a video on this mate
Mate they are taking the piss out of you, everyone knows how much things cost they just don't wanna pay for it, don't waste your time with time wasters
A good job's rarely cheap, a cheap job's rarely good! You're worth every penny, Joel!

Had the same thing happen to me when I was self employed people don't want to pay and don't relise the work what goes into rendering

Roughly £10k per house all materials included, scaffolding, render, skip etc 👍👍
Seriously,I’ve had this happen a couple of times recently.Back to site work I’m afraid.2 bags 😂
@@davidfoley8189 yeah mate I’ve had a few recently pal
😂 brilliant
Reasonable, I'd say! When you considering the price of scaffolding as well!
@@Ripper36068 yeah the Scaff was up on this one but it would of needed a lot alterations! Probs best to start again

I'd break the price down so the customer can understand, material's cost and labour cost.
I'd break down nothing for them, the price is the price take it or leave it.
Customers forget there paying for the experience the tradesman has the tools he got to do the job if they tried it would cost lots more
I'd be opening up with a ball park figure as soon as i arrived..... make sure youre both on same page b4 u spend anytime on em.
Hi pal, what in your opinion is the best system for long term? On fresh blocks ? If you were doing your house what would you use ? :-)

£100 ish a metre is about right mate .
€8k for 80 plus m2 is bang on .
😁

nah thats a fair price dude!

They all want a cheap job till its done crap then don't want to pay
Do these people not understand it's back breaking highly skilled work?? They think its on par with painting 😂😂😂😂
Render is just sand and water. Not rocket science throwing mud on a wall.
@@KentManOnBike try it and video us your job doing it and we can judge your method of just throwing mud on a wall
They no what it is they try to take the piss
The materials are not cheap for render down south average sqm labour only is £55sqm
2 GRAND 🤣
Yes you was.
I’ll do it for 2k, money upfront please 😂
That’s not very funny is it
Not really no , sounds reasonable
Haha why do plasters think they can charge 500 per day 😂😂
U dividing it to day money don't work when you putting hard craft for a skill job not anyone can do for a top finish. Worth every penny
@apollocreed85 this guy reminds me of someone who was in a gang called the CMB In leeds who mugged me
It’s sad that being able to afford the luxury of a rendered house you need to be making at least 40k a year
In the north cause down south 40k is a bit sht
Labour cost !!
😂😂
With price of materials in Ireland for external insulation it's now like 140-180 sqm
@@Jay_Reno yeah that’s same here mate
