Hey BadaBing - I appreciate your content. Quick question, if it ever gets to you - I just received one of these beauts. Is it unable to dry fire due to the magazine follower design, and having no bolt release like the Umarex UMP has?
Thanks buddy. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad. Also sometimes they don’t finish their products correctly and they leave it to the consumer to fix it. I don’t put much faith in VFC.

Great review, and it's good to see VFC getting a lot right with this one, but ahhh, that wobbly stock, I mean, what the hell, I've always said it, if you can build this, to what is, for a airsoft GBB, a reasonable and acceptable looking performing model, why oh why, do you let it down with the utterly unacceptable stock, it amazes me, always that VFC, get so much right, but falls down on the simpler points..... I thought I would make this one a little special. Set it up nicely with props and filming on location, a kind of guerrilla style of film making haha. I got odd looks indeed! Thanks for watching, and great to see you back in the comments section. Indeed, they got a lot right with this. Looks like I'll have to pick up a real A2 stock, at least that has a better chance of being stable. Oh absolutely, nothing will replace the Toblerone! Merry Christmas to you too, all the very best to you and yours for 2021.
Hey BadaBing! You are pure evil! Making us wait for the comparison :D What I wanted to add is that I have a TM MP7, the first time I took it out to a game that stretched into the late night I didn't even realize how cold the spring night was until I sat down in the base to eat something. The MP7 didn't slow down at all. At least during normal use, I'm not a trigger happy guy. At the end of the game we did some tracer magdumps, because it looks cool and only one of the mags couldn't dump the last 2 rounds. So my point is that it can be done even with slim & long SMG mags if you put your back into it.
@@neuzdost1939 lol !!!even in this video you can hear the gun is slugish!the first gen mp5 was trash , their m4 gbbrs are trash with bolt carrier problems, even after so many years !i dont say that we are perfect !but their glocks and their we apache mp5 are very very good!hope this helped
Great Review & presentation. The biggest problem with this platform is that for the most part, it was already done! I find When VFC uses surplus parts to make a "new" gun, they cut corners, unlike the G3 that was entirely new, and thus far less flawed. I think the VFC FAL will be just as good as the G3, slightly better even because of overall build quality, taking the edge because it ships with a steel outer barrel! I find the best part of the A5 is the trigger pack, being pretty much as real as it gets (with the exception of two springs), down to the trigger you don't like, which funny enough, was the same complaint Garand Thumb had about the real A5. Kudos to you for being able to disassemble it, an ill-advised feat for most. The worst being the front end. This is realized whenever you unscrew and screw on the tri-lug adapter, and inadvertently unscrew the barrel! A fixed stock would alleviate your wobbly stock woes as you mentioned. If you go with a real stock, make sure it's polymer so it flexes better, the receiver isn't 1:1 so stocks with metal end plates require filing. I was able to fit a B&T folding stock, but the rear pin becomes very tight! Worth it! All in all, still a great buy as you said, despite flaws VFC could've easily addressed IMO.
Thanks bud. Yeah, real fixed stocks are affordable so that’s an intriguing option. Oh I haven’t stripped down the trigger pack. Not yet. While everything still works, I’ll leave it alone. Their upcoming PSG-1 is sooo tempting.
@@BadaBingPictures that PSG-1 definitely looks like a good buy. I love their stamped steel rifles, especially since they tend to be the best bang for the buck, just as the real counterparts were intended.
Its a royal pain in the arse, is what it is. Hahah! 4 Weekends getting the outdoor shots. A couple of weeks juggling desktop filming with work/life/Xmas. 10 days cutting it all together and a couple of days looking for gremlins/final rendering. Writing and in most cases re-writing throughout the entire duration. I'm sure there are easier ways to go about it, but we can't have that now can we? ;-) Cheers for watching, bro
And here we go again, another sleek review of a very sleek classic. And it even hit the Christmas theme with the Die Hard reference. (Love your dedication to make it as... well... immersive, as it gets. 😅) However, as beautiful as it is, the wobbly stock and most importantly the unrealistic boltstop are a huge red flag to me. I am looking very forward to the upcoming comparison to the WE Mp5. 🙂 Merry Christmas from Bavaria. 🌲
@@TehSnake586 ...fits. The receivers haven’t changed. But contact customer service to verify. The V2 bolt group fits the V1 as well, just like the v2 magazines fit. You’d just have to purchase a complete V2 barrel and hop up assembly.
@@BadaBingPictures yes but they all probably need importing from the other side of the world which is the only issue. When I bought my MWS from Impulse101 in Japan in 2018, the import charge was like £160. I dont think I'll be able to get a VFC V2 for under £600 if I buy it outside of Europe
Like I said in the vid, that’s the only place you can find V2 VFC MP5’s unfortunately. They don’t sell them outside of that location yet. Importing is the only way. You take your chances. I paid somewhere around £40 if I remember correctly...roll the dice.
@@BadaBingPictures Yeah, Ive seen VFCs LAR (FAL GBBR) that they showed off last month to be sold next year, so I'll probably import one of those first and hopefully by that time the MP5s are cheaper, and/or improved, and/or available to pick up anywhere in the UK with different variants like the the early style variant with the slim handguard and S,E,F lower like on the SD. I know you can buy the early kits for the VFC MP5, but only for the MP5A3 and not MP5A5 (as far as im aware). I think as I'm not as desperate for an MP5 like I was a few months ago, I will just have to wait it out. I spoke over the phone to a guy from Airsoft direct and he said next year, lots of new VFC GBBs will be imported by bulk into their shops, so hopefully some VFC MP5s should be there. But anyway, Ive rambled on enough, great video as always, I love the quality and in depth detail of your videos as well as the gimmick with them like the Die Hard one with this video, keep up the excellent work, hope you had a great Christmas and Happy new year in advanced :)
I took the bait and bought one from the first batch back in May. Then a mother later I sold it. I had problems with constant shattering of BBs and single shot mode shooting 3 BBs.
Sorry to hear your problems with the A5. That’s the thing with companies like VFC. You can’t really put much faith in any review, sometimes it depends what arrives at your door.
Can we get these in the United States I’m either looking at? I’ve been lusting so bad for a GBB MP5 I’ve been looking at the at the VFC or the Apache version.
Your only option would be to import from Asia because it’s not sold anywhere else right now. The WE versions are available in more places outside of Asia but you’d have to Google it for specifics.
I’m not sure as to what attachment you’re referring to but as it is you cannot attach any kind of flash hider as it does not have a threaded outer barrel. Although, I think there are Navy barrels available separately which have the necessary thread as well as the typical HK 3 lug suppressor attachment.
I'm also looking at installing a restrictor disc in my mp5 to get in below 360 FPS, but I'm kind of stuck at disassembling the nozzle/bolt, do you maybe have any direction on how to go futher?
I found you need to unscrew the end cap from the bolt carrier. It has two holes and I used a Samoon Valve key to do it but you might be able to take it off with needle nose pliers. From there you can push the nozzle towards the front with your finger until you see the small pin that holds both sections of the nozzle together. Push the pin out and you can now separate the two halves. It should snap off. Careful not to lose the internals.
You’re welcome. The nozzle spring is the most infuriating thing to reinstall. So with the back portion of the nozzle pushed forward, you should see a little nub that the spring indexes on, align that with the spring channel and carefully rest the spring along that groove and back up the front of the nozzle onto it. Might take you a while but be patient and good luck.
I want to buy one so bad but I have no clue where I should order from since I live in the US and it sounds like they are sketchy to order online, not to mention any website that has them in stock costs about $150 in shipping, can anybody recommend a good website to order from without worrying about getting it seized? (also not interested in a painted orange sight post, I can deal with swapping out the tip)
@@BadaBingPictures thanks for the anwser. do you also have adamaged feedinglips? after i shot a couple of mags for the first time, i've noticed that the rubber is damaged.
yes, longer barrels tend to help with velocity, distance & accuracy, but just like a real gun, it depends on the use, like “CQB” for example 20 yards max distance of interaction, its not going to matter how long your barrel is for the most part. FPS also changes accuracy alot but if we are talking about 2 guns with the same FPS, the one w the longer barrel is going to give more range for sure
Hi Bada! I've just got a used Apache (its very rare here in Brazil) and it cames with a issue (I was already aware of it). The gun shoots well, but keeps firing in dryfire mode, even with the dryfire lever in the mag turned off. Would you have any idea what could be happening?
Hi, Is the tab at the back of the magazine springing up when it’s empty? It’s supposed to jump up after the last shot and pick up the valve lever which fires the striker above the valve.
@@BadaBingPictures Hmm, not sure. I have three mags, and I was looking at it and it seems to be OK (the tab, lever works and looks fine I guess). Probably the issue is inside of the gun, I guess. It's quite difficult to find spare parts here, especially gbbrs. Thanks again for your kind attencion!
Hey badabing just want to give a heads up, don't know if you know but turns out the cocking handle IS actually steel, it's just the cocking tube that's made of zinc or some alloy. No wonder it's HK slappable
@@Sandman21B6 You're right! I just pulled the handle out of the cocking tube. The Handle Grip itself isn't but the pin that it's fixed onto is, thanks man. Yep, no wonder we can slap it all day ;-)
Mr Jon, nice to see you again. Thanks! Unfortunately no. Unless you use the older style bb follower that doesn’t interrupt the bolt travel. But it’ll dry fire… There’s not a lot of space on the magazine to incorporate a valve block or something similar to their G3. In the future they might be able to make something. In the meantime it is what it is.
And he dunks his Twinkies..., Good Man!!! Do you use a mag pouch for your MP5 mags if so what brand / model# ? I'm asking because I was let down by the Condor brand MP5 triple mag pouch. I can just barely get a single finger in those spaces but the VFC Umarex Elite Force MP5 mags are a no go in those spaces. I have a Condor Double AK/AR mag pouch that works perfect for 8 metal airsoft MP5 mags so that ones a keeper but the MP5 pouch is going back after Christmas. :(
VFC is so realistic and sturdy that here in the US, we use VFC retractable buttstock on our real MP5/SP5 instead of the real HK one because the real HK one cost $1399 a piece. You heard right. $1399 just for the HK buttstock.
It’s so annoying. The VFC end cap on this moves around when it’s fixed to the receiver, something I haven’t seen. The WE A3 has a stiff connection to the receiver.
There’s no fast way to enable dry-fire mode. You either modify the bb follower so the nozzle doesn’t engage it. Or take apart the magazine and remove the bb follower and spring.
YIPPIE KI YAY SCHWEINEBACKE! Well, you problably won't know about that last word but trust me, it's pure nostalgia. I upgraded my WE MP5SD6 with real HK parts. Sights, Stock, Charging handle and Cocking tube fore Charging handle. All steel. ALL STEEL. You need this bro, it's the only pieces missing your MP5. Also, those pieces aren't as expensive as you might think. I can hit you up with some links. Merry Christmas Schweinebacke. 🎄❄️🤙
I am not familiar with that word. I do not have a German tongue. Only French 😂 Thanks bro. Yes, I thought about buying some real HK parts for this MP5. It’ll be awesome. Another fantastic video, I do have a soft spot for the MP5 I've owned 2 aeg ones in the past but gbbr are definitely the best, shame it's not officially available over here but the WE is 🤔
Awesome video as always dude! The VFC MP5 seems to be pretty rock solid, aside from the stock. But luckily it looks like it can accept real stocks and what not, so that’d be cool to be able to buy a real A3 stock for it. The WE one however might be easier for me to obtain due to the ATF banning the VFC one from the US 😔💔 oh well, I’ll figure out which one I want by the time it comes to purchase one.
An atf ban for the vfc? I hadn't heard anything about this. Do you have a source article or are you assuming that's the case due to difficulty with customs? I guess I'm curious as to whether there's anything in writing because I couldn't find any specific decisions posted anywhere.

@BadaBingPictures how is your VFC MP5A5 GEN 2 doing so far? besides the cocking tube breaking? Any upgrades? I am now debating between this and the WE TECH 36c......price is a concern but......i like them both and its so damn hard and ive watched several reviews on both.....i like to go full auto and the g36c is powerful for an airsoft gun.....but you did mention this MP5's weakness, so to speak, is full auto yes? Can you upgrade it with stronger recoil springs to make it faster? Sorry for all the questions I am a newb with SMG/GBBR I only own 2 WE TECH G17 glocks. However....I had told you I had a bad first impression with VFC as both my mags were leaking out of the box and I fully disassembled them and tightened them and its leaking more......I cannot make a decision. What would you do? I know I know you and I are exactly the same when it comes to the MP5 - it is the king of all firearms IMO......it would be my go to in real life lol....
I made a 2-year review a few months ago, nothings changed since then. I don’t bother with upgrades, the MP5 is good enough as it is. You don’t need them. The WE G36 is great too. Quite old these days, but it’s still a GBBR system which has a lot of value in it. Plus, it performs amazing as standard. Good hard recoil. While these GBB’s can run on fully automatic, it’s not recommended for skirmishing as you’ll be emptying your magazines very quickly. 30rds will not last long! And then there’s cool-down to contend with, depending on your local climate. They’re not meant to be treated like AEG’s where you spray and pray. Generally you should be using the best bbs you can afford in GBB’s, as cheap bbs will likely break apart in the action. 0.30g or heavier will achieve compressed groupings, so it gets expensive when you decide to rip up the air with automatic fire. Check out Explosive Enterprises for his amazing VFC MP5 review. And the excellent guides. th-cam.com/video/p_4PWj-w9R8/w-d-xo.html
@@BadaBingPictures you are awesome brother seriously. PS I take it you're somewhere in England? I have some family who live in Essex! I'm in the USA though. But yeah ugh I am very disappointed with my VFC HK416A5 Gen 3. You have no idea - for spending over $600 for this realistic replica + additional mag.... but I did hear the Vmags work better. They look very impressive based on what I've seen in TH-cam! As far as VFC MP5 GEN 2 vs WE TECH G36C - this is a very hard decision. G36c + 3 additional mags is just over $400! THAT IS A GREAT DEAL for a GBBR! I know I'll have a blast with it I can tell. However, there's the gorgeous VFC MP5A5 gen 2 which is similar to the PS5 in the sense that it is sold out frequently but.... the SMG + 1 additional mag will cost me $650+.... it's so hard to decide. Does the MP5A5 Gen 2 have enough spare parts yet in case things fail? The cooking tube isn't my concern that's simple. But yeah idk what to do. I wanna just friggin just use a full auto or 3rd burst to steam off on stressful days lol. Not even to go into the field lol. Lemme know what you think!
@@grayman1 Ah right, yeah that’s South Eastern England. I’m South West, South Gloucestershire. They have the latest version VMAG which is supposed to be decent. I’ve actually ordered one just to see what it’s like in my Viper Tech 416. It’s a tough decision as I love both of them. Depends if you want a rifle or Sub Machine Gun. The G36 is a great GBBR, and you could buy a separate upper to build a K or even a full sized G36. So you can have one platform for indoors and another for outdoors. They are also easy to work on and learn the craft of GBBR’s. The magazines though are a pain in the ass because you’d really need G36 mag pouches, or 7.62 ones. They are very chunky. The plastic shell is quite brittle as well, so you’d have to be gentle with them. Good thing is, the system is cheap and spares are plentiful. VFC MP5 spares can be found but mainly in Asia. Either direct from VFC or WGC, Pro Act etc.. 3rd party support is picking up too. The MP5 is a little bit better when you consider it’s construction. So it’s real gun / replica vibes hits much much harder than the G36. Not saying the G36 looks and feels like a toy, because it’s surprisingly rigid. But elements of the rifle look off when you compare it visually to the real G36. Or VFC’s more authentic looking Version 2 G36. I know nothing of their G36 though. It’s quite rare.
@BadaBingPictures wait where did you order your VMAGs, and was it recently? I cannot for the life of me find one that's not overpriced if it's not sold out already everywhere I look!!! 😡 Also , I JUST literally purchased the VFC MP5A5 V2 + 2 Gen 2 MAGS. I am hoping and praying I have zero issues. Especially I hope there are no issues with any of the 3 mags in total. Check out this link that baffled me - this is a first I've seen. Did you ever see this issue on the VFC MP5A5?
Hey sorry it wouldnt lemme edit my reply so I had to add it here. Here is a short clip I found on the VFC MP5A5 Gen 2 - th-cam.com/users/shortsbNem99E5NXI You ever see anything like this? He claims he cannot figure out what is causing it to go full auto on semi auto.....strange.....
Tough call. WE would be a wise choice. 45rd capacity is superior for the field. However the VFC MP5 has a lot going for it. I don't think I could round it off in a YT comment, there isn't enough room.
@@BadaBingPictures so maybe WE is better for skirmish, while VFC is better for its build quality? I'm more concerned about gaming performance and barrel/hop upgrade so I can compete with those AEGs indoor 😁
Apparently VFC changed the material of their cocking support tubes and no one has managed to break one yet. From what I’ve seen. But if you did want to upgrade this part…just in case: th-cam.com/video/-0OwgCqPJP8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yyLKQSQVmq6svMeN
It's beautiful but from the firing parts in the video I can see that the mag has some delay to the wobble in the receiver, is this noticeable when you used it personally? Great video bada-bing and happy new years

What does it take... 5 days of filming and 10 days editing to make these?
I am blown away every time!
I'm sure there are easier ways to go about it, but we can't have that now can we? ;-)
Cheers for watching, bro
And here we go again, another sleek review of a very sleek classic.
And it even hit the Christmas theme with the Die Hard reference. (Love your dedication to make it as... well... immersive, as it gets. 😅)
However, as beautiful as it is, the wobbly stock and most importantly the unrealistic boltstop are a huge red flag to me.
I am looking very forward to the upcoming comparison to the WE Mp5. 🙂
Merry Christmas from Bavaria. 🌲

Marvelous review,BB ! Now I wonder whether I should get V2 instead of my V1 which has twice more flaws .
You should be able to convert your V1 to a V2 pretty easily.
@@keyboardcommando5146 yeah, but the hop up adjustment...

But anyway, Ive rambled on enough, great video as always, I love the quality and in depth detail of your videos as well as the gimmick with them like the Die Hard one with this video, keep up the excellent work, hope you had a great Christmas and Happy new year in advanced :)
the spungy trigger sounds like most HK G3 MP5, they where not known for chrisp triggers
I want to see the VFC FN FAL gbbr rifle.

Oh I couldn’t agree more.
A classy SMG like this would look great on your channel 😉
Can we get these in the United States I’m either looking at? I’ve been lusting so bad for a GBB MP5 I’ve been looking at the at the VFC or the Apache version.
Your only option would be to import from Asia because it’s not sold anywhere else right now.
The WE versions are available in more places outside of Asia but you’d have to Google it for specifics.

Did you curl your toes on the carpet yet?
Worst advice ever given to John McClane!
Merry Christmas to you too!
hey, can I remove the flash hider and add a RC2 Mini replica from angrygun which is 14mm CCW
Thanks
I’m not sure as to what attachment you’re referring to but as it is you cannot attach any kind of flash hider as it does not have a threaded outer barrel. Although, I think there are Navy barrels available separately which have the necessary thread as well as the typical HK 3 lug suppressor attachment.
@@BadaBingPictures www.angrygun.com/products/socom556-mini-dummy-silencer I was talking about that one, and thanks for helping me
Ah right I see what you mean now.
You're very welcome. Happy to help.
I wonder where I could purchase one for myself
@@BadaBingPictures you're a hero thx, I didn't even notice the end cap
You’re welcome.
The nozzle spring is the most infuriating thing to reinstall. So with the back portion of the nozzle pushed forward, you should see a little nub that the spring indexes on, align that with the spring channel and carefully rest the spring along that groove and back up the front of the nozzle onto it.
Might take you a while but be patient and good luck.
I want to buy one so bad but I have no clue where I should order from since I live in the US and it sounds like they are sketchy to order online, not to mention any website that has them in stock costs about $150 in shipping, can anybody recommend a good website to order from without worrying about getting it seized? the WE version says 'KAL' 9MM X19 where the VFC version says 'CAL' 9MM X19. which one is the correcr one?
They both are. I’ve seen real HK MP5’s with both English and I’m assuming German spellings for caliber. I’m guessing export MP5’s were ‘CAL’ marked.

Is the stock made of metal? Obviously the buttbad is polymer but im curious about the legs? Im also curious if the stock will fit a real mp5
Does Barrel length matter? Like does a longer barrel tend to be more accurate and give more range than a shorter one in airsoft?
yes, longer barrels tend to help with velocity, distance & accuracy, but just like a real gun, it depends on the use, like “CQB” for example 20 yards max distance of interaction, its not going to matter how long your barrel is for the most part. FPS also changes accuracy alot but if we are talking about 2 guns with the same FPS, the one w the longer barrel is going to give more range for sure
this intro made my day :D
Hi Bada! I've just got a used Apache (its very rare here in Brazil) and it cames with a issue (I was already aware of it). The gun shoots well,
but keeps firing in dryfire mode, even with the dryfire lever in the mag turned off. Would you have any idea what could be happening?
Hi,
Is the tab at the back of the magazine springing up when it’s empty? It’s supposed to jump up after the last shot and pick up the valve lever which fires the striker above the valve.
@@BadaBingPictures Hmm, not sure. I have three mags, and I was looking at it and it seems to be OK (the tab, lever works and looks fine I guess). Probably the issue is inside of the gun, I guess. It's quite difficult to find spare parts here, especially gbbrs. Thanks again for your kind attencion!
Best intro ever
Thanks mate. I'm rather pleased with how it came out :-)
Where I could get the real steel charing support tube?
It’s quite difficult to find the real one if you’re outside US. HK Parts.net for all US domestic based customers.
Zib Militaria had them.
Do you need to put the spring back in the bolt?
Hey badabing! Just wanted to ask how's your mp5a5 doing after awhile? Still HK slappable? How's the internals holding up?
Hiya,
It’s only been a few weeks after posting this video and I haven’t used it since then. So it’s perfect 😉
Yep, no wonder we can slap it all day ;-)
Great vid as always , do you know if there is an upgrade to allow the bolt to fully close on empty?
Mr Jon, nice to see you again. Thanks!
Unfortunately no. Unless you use the older style bb follower that doesn’t interrupt the bolt travel. But it’ll dry fire…
There’s not a lot of space on the magazine to incorporate a valve block or something similar to their G3.
I can just barely get a single finger in
those spaces but the VFC Umarex Elite Force MP5 mags are a no go in those spaces. I have a Condor Double AK/AR
mag pouch that works perfect for 8 metal airsoft MP5 mags so that ones a keeper but the MP5 pouch is going back
after Christmas. :(
I only did that to annoy the Anti-dunkers, haha!
I don't have any pouches to take MP5 magazines. I don't play anymore so I have no need for em.
What would comfortable temps be?
Can you makena video on how to downgrade the fps with the disc?
VFC is so realistic and sturdy that here in the US, we use VFC retractable buttstock on our real MP5/SP5 instead of the real HK one because the real HK one cost $1399 a piece. You heard right. $1399 just for the HK buttstock.
Are there modifications to fix all of it's flaws?
FYI RS stock is as wobbly as you can imagine, check more RS photos in the 90s, you'd be surprised
It’s so annoying. The VFC end cap on this moves around when it’s fixed to the receiver, something I haven’t seen. The WE A3 has a stiff connection to the receiver.
Let it snow~ let it snow~ let it snow~
Is there a safe way to stop the mag follower from blocking the bolt? Tape? lol
*to be able to dry fire
There’s no fast way to enable dry-fire mode.
You either modify the bb follower so the nozzle doesn’t engage it. Or take apart the magazine and remove the bb follower and spring.
Might just do that on 1 mag at least lol

Awesome video as always dude! The VFC MP5 seems to be pretty rock solid, aside from the stock. But luckily it looks like it can accept real stocks and what not, so that’d be cool to be able to buy a real A3 stock for it. The WE one however might be easier for me to obtain due to the ATF banning the VFC one from the US 😔💔 oh well, I’ll figure out which one I want by the time it comes to purchase one.
