I was there when I was 37 year’s old and not only that I was a new Christian almost a years old as a Christian. then. Today I am a minister and also 60 years old. I do praise God and His son Jesus for my life. I was there and I also will never forget what He did for my life.
I remember going to my first Promise Keepers in San Jose, CA... with my church and brothers I was amazed at all the men singing and praising God those 3 days,..

Amazing how the Lord has led me with such a strong passion to pray for this to happen again. For the past week I have had the movement of Promise Keepers upon my heart so much and bringing it before the Lord in prayer. I lived to see how powerful this was and life changing for thousands upon thousands of men, families, homes. Father, I know you will do this again!!
A precious memory from that day was in the subway station returning to the bus. A police officer wearing a bicycle helmet was standing above us. We were a sea of men singing praises to God while tears were streaming down the officer’s face. What a beautiful thing to witness! I wish I had a picture of that scene.

I was there i saw God's power in a wave in a moment when the men got on their faces to humble oursellvrs i felt a wave of peace from DC cover the whole nation and no doubt it covered the earth. That weekend satsn hid and dared not move
I attended this event and it was a significant event in my life and this country. We need to continually pray for family, friends, citizens, leaders, and our nation. That we all repent of our evil carnal minds and ask God to give us His grace and mercy. That may His agape love fill us so we can pass that onto this current generation. I encourage you to watch this video. Some people estimates that there was a tithe of the active men of the United States attending this event in some way during that day.

We were so hungry for God! 25 years ago and we had hope that God would hear our prayer and heal our land. I am deeply grieved that our national downward spiral continued. I can only wonder why. 25 years later and masculinity has become "toxic." WHY??
Yes it would be something to repeat this event today. I would go with no regrets and make the trip again. I think over the years I have attended at least 12 or 13 PK events at stadiums all over the US. Would like to do it again. It is truly impossible to explain what happened at Stand In The Gap unless you were there. God Bless You

I was there ! Near the Washington Monument, under a small grove of trees. I sincerely believe that we need to do this kind of event, in our nation, every year ... but the site shouldn't be Washington DC but New York City, at the site of 9/11 ╬ amen
Amen to that! I was there myself and I loved it! I was a new Christian back then and all I did was cry! I started going to promise keepers every year to they stopped coming to the North East coast. I even volunteered my time for a few years. I would go twice a year. One event was to worship the Lord and the other event was to serve! Ido miss those days.
Having spent 2 years as a volunteer, 7 years on staff and 2 years serving as a contract (1994 - 2005), I hope that the reboot of PK is properly aligned with scripture in all that it does. The ministry became irrelevant when it became a platform for the leadership to promote personal agendas. The miraculous change in the church in the early years were amazing. Jim Altman
