What I am going to do is merge the iPad Air and Mac Mini together by using the iPad as the main display through an application called Luna Display. When I am home, I can just simply "dock" my iPad to a stand and use it as the display for the Mac and when I want to go out and travel, I can "undock" my iPad and use it as a standalone 2-in-1 tablet/laptop with a keyboard case like the Magic Keyboard or Logitech Combo. I bought a M1 air base model 2 years ago. The day they announced the 15" I ended up ordering the 13 M2 air with 10core and 16gb since they dropped the price $100 to 1099. After 2 years of my air I still have 100gb free so I didnt feel the need for the 512 and ram was more important. 1500mbs is still plenty fast and not going to see much of a difference in hard drive speeds
Any graphic designers out there? Im a product designer and looking to upgrade my macbook . Im currently using a macbook pro 15" from 2015 model. Its getting old now and looking to switch to a stronger model
How long will these models be supported? I was thinking about an M1 Air, but then I've read that you can use it for like 5 years?? (if bought in 2023) My (kinda) top priority would be to use it as long as possible. (Now I have a 10 year old notebook and I wouldn't change it if I didn't have to) But at the same time I do not need a super-duper powerplant. What do you recommend?
I am considering getting a Macbook for the first time. I mostly do documents, photoshop, browsing and some short videos once in a while. I am also looking at connecting 2 external monitors. What do y'all suggest?
Hi Sir. I am planning to buy a MacBook Pro M2 chip 13inch (8gb ram, 256gb SSD) as I want to work on python, SQL, tableau, ms excel, ms word and related ones. Could you suggest whether MacBook Pro 13inch M2 chip is better than MacBook Air 15 inch overall as it's my first time buying an apple device? Also could you please suggest if it works smooth without face any lagging issues while working simultaneously on these apps given the fans in the MacBook Pro?
I have an 2019 MBP and am considering upgrading. I have serious issues with overheating considering I study all day using a monitor. What do you suggest considering this case? I still have doubts considering the MBA since it does not have a fan, however, I do not have good experience with the MBP. Are there specs I could upgrade on the MBA to try solving this issue? Considering what you said on the video, since the MBA does not have an active cooling system it should lower the capacity instead of overheating, and that should be better than the fans not being capable to manage the full capacity on long hours of use! Thank you for the attention, coming here from Brazil!
This right now is where I’m leaning towards too! The price jump from the 13” M2P to the 14” is wild, but I have a feeling that may be the wise decision with the specs

Hello, just saw this video and I would like the MacBook Pro M2, but the M1 is a little cheaper and I work with music libraries ( being new to composing I want to buy the best and one computer to lay me awhile) and will be adding on. M1 or M2 24 or 16 inch. Need some help, please! What do you think of your Mac Studio M2?

I'm hesitating right now, like I need a MacBook for programming, for the battery and I'm so confused, all i need is battery and real estate, but between the hypothetical new macbook air 15inch, the old m1 MBP 16 second hand, or the m2 MBP second hand, I dont't know which one to choose
Same. But finally decided for the upcoming 15 inch air. Programming is super easy on my macbook m1 air. I just need more ram and screen size. The pro has sluggish screen which I'm afraid will drive me insane
Thanks so much! But: external SSD? Bad idea IMO unless you're not very mobile. You don't want to have to plug in a drive every time you want to do a little work here and there on the go.
I currently have the 2019 MBP 13in with the 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 8 GB of memory, and the fan has been kicking on and it sounds like a jet engine is taking off. Most of the time when I am using this computer the physical memory is around 7.25 GB used and Swap is around 5.31 GB. Then there are times when I get the pinwheel of death. I want to upgrade my computer since I am going to medical school soon. With the release of the 15 in MBA, I am confused about if I should even look at the MBP 13 M2 and upgrade to 16 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage since they are the same price or just go to the MBP 14 What would you recommend?
so funny I went with the one that everyone is saying don't get but I love it old shape and design the Touch Bar I really liked it so much more then the new MacBook Air
I initially was intrigued by the new 15 inch MacBook Air M2... but getting 16GB/1TB it became the price of a 14 M2 Pro base 16/512... now after playing with the Pro MacBook I have to figure out if getting 14 vs 16 inch MacBook pro is worth the $470 price jump to get the bigger display or saving that money and maybe getting an external display? Do you think 14 Pro is good enough or should I just ball out and get the bigger 16 Pro?
I’m still wondering whether the MacBook Air M2 or the MacBook Pro 14” is better. My main uses would be normal internet use, making projects using my Cricut machine and some business. I want enough space of course and great performance but I don’t need to go overkill on the specs. Any suggestions?
@TechGearTalk hi, i’m just about to buy the M2 MBA (as it’s come down in price since the release of the new 15” MBA) instead of the 13” MBP as apart from the internal fan (battery life won’t matter as i keep it plugged in most of the time)i think the MBA is a better option… just a quick question, apart from everyday use (i.e. emails, web, zoom work calls) I like to use Logic Pro X quite a bit in my small home studio, i’ve already budgeted for the upgrade in unified memory to 24Gb and the SSD to 1TB, since i’ll be using Logic Pro X a lot should i also upgrade the GPU to a 10 Core? Thanks
I will say this: I was in the store earlier today handling and typing on all these models. All the M2 models feel flimsier than the M1 Air when typing on the keyboard. Has Apple changed the chassis? because these models feel almost hollow at the center of the keyboard. They feel far more fragile than M1 air and older…
Or maybe it’s my internal bias, convincing me to get the cheaper option! 😂 I actually want an M1 pro 14, but apple refurbished is not available in my country and there is zero inventory with retailers. Where do the old modes that didn’t sell end up? The price jump from a new M1 14 inch pro in say, November to the M2 version is ridiculous in my market. That perhaps is a reason also for the 13 pro: You need/want a fan and can’t afford the huge price jump of the 14 inch 😔
would music production be ok on macbook air M2 or not enough? should i get pro or could me air fair enough for electronic music production...? thank you
Nice review, only thing I just started to look into but do not see any comparisons out there yet is for where the M2 chip compares to Intel i7 or i9, I am leaning more toward a Maxed out 14 Pro with Max CPU/GPU, 32gb ram and 2 tb ssd
Why not just get one Windows laptop!? You can find cheaper ones that you can upgrade with bigger screens and you're not depending on an arm processor so you can run most software and games!
Windows laptops are usually terrible when it comes to build quality and battery unless you are spending Apple tire prices and if you’re paying Apple prices for a windows why not get a Mac, especially if you aren’t a gamer/have all of the gaming consoles.
I am currently trying to choose between a 14 inch MacBook Pro and a 16 inch MacBook Pro. People say that the 14 inch is portable which is good because I will need to be carrying it around, but I personally feel that the screen size is too small. I am worried that the 16 inch will be too heavy to carry around, but the screen size may be more comfortable. I am more if a laptop person than a monitor person, but I don’t know if that would change in the future. I was wondering if you could give your advice on this situation.
Hi. I think you would get value from this detailed comparison: th-cam.com/video/dKCvISpH0XA/w-d-xo.html Personally, I always carry my laptop in a backpack, the additional size and weight don't really matter much to me, and I primarily take the 16 because I LOVE the larger display. I hope that helps.
The M2 13” MacBook Pro is the definition of “when you lie in your resume but get the job anyways”
Ok, that's funny.
They just have to rename it to MacBook because it fits perfectly. But I guess the design by Apple in California makes them think differently
@@todor_todorov i.e. The 13-Inch MacBook Pro should just be called that way, because the only Pro thing is the performance.

I have a 4GB ram 64GB SATA, and its 2023 lol
I want your wallpapers are we ever getting a tech gear wallpaper series?
Will the MacBook Air be able to run adobe illustrator and photoshop without slowing down every time I make something
So what’s the best for everyday normal use?
The air probably
so funny I went with the one that everyone is saying don't get but I love it old shape and design the Touch Bar I really liked it so much more then the new MacBook Air
What’s most important is that you got the one that’s right for you. Congrats!!
I just bought the M2 MBP 13 8gb 256 for $1045 at bestbuy coming from a surface pro 3 i7. Still trying to adjust lol
Do you think 14 Pro is good enough or should I just ball out and get the bigger 16 Pro?
imo 16 is too big and inconvenient, most people seem to agree that the 14 is best for functionality and portability
Hey , do you think that apple will upgrade the MacBooks in WWDC 2023 . Should I wait for it or get m2 air now ?
Hard to imagine as the M2 Air is less than a year old and has been overhauled. I wonder if a new model will be released.
I’m still wondering whether the MacBook Air M2 or the MacBook Pro 14” is better. My main uses would be normal internet use, making projects using my Cricut machine and some business. I want enough space of course and great performance but I don’t need to go overkill on the specs. Any suggestions?
Base MBP 14 inch
It will last longer
Nice guide.. thanks👍🏼
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leaving feedback 🙏🏻
Does it make sense to wait for WWDC 23 to buy m2 air in a possible price drop after the event?
Maybe at other retailers like Amazon. If you’re not in a rush - it doesn’t hurt to wait.
are we ever getting a tech gear wallpaper series ?
Thanks
MBP 13 is the best design ever in pro lineup
Sounds like M2 14inch is the one to choose 😂
Best Mac buyers guide on TH-cam🎉🎉🎉
I will say this: I was in the store earlier today handling and typing on all these models. All the M2 models feel flimsier than the M1 Air when typing on the keyboard. Has Apple changed the chassis? because these models feel almost hollow at the center of the keyboard. They feel far more fragile than M1 air and older…
That's interesting - it's definitely not something I noticed. I have all of the M1 models - so I'll go back and test.
That perhaps is a reason also for the 13 pro: You need/want a fan and can’t afford the huge price jump of the 14 inch 😔
would music production be ok on macbook air M2 or not enough? should i get pro or could me air fair enough for electronic music production...? thank you
anyone?
but which one is better for gaming? 😭
Let’s go the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! CLE 😎
Hi, do you have a review of the glasses that allow you to watch several screens? It’s what I need
Not yet.
By the way where can I get those wallpapers that you used in your macbooks
I haven’t been able to pay attention because I can’t figure out what accent this is.
Capable is “keepable” and notch is “natch”? 🤷🏾♂️ what?
0:37 And you could probably find laptops as thick as two MacBook Airs stacked
absolutely.
I’ll go with biggest m1 though it’s good price now on resellers
It’s an excellent value - good luck!
I would never own a m2 to many problems with it i like m1 more . I have m1 MacBook Air ad MacBook pro 14
Those are two solid MacBooks.
Where do you got your wallpaper
Witch one would be the best for business work and a little bit of editing my budget is 1,600$ what do you recommend? Anyone
Buy the mba 2 you can do everything even editing
The MacBook Air with 16gb of unified memory and 512gb ssd (unless you only need 256)
@@TechGearTalk thank you. Earned my sub couldn’t be happier with my purchase
I’m watching this video as I have to buy a laptop for school 😂😂😂 and I can’t tell the difference
You get a like just for the F1 clip :)
Thank you for being part of the channel
Best review I've watched
Oh wow! Super glad it was useful!
Wow, perfect timing 😉
Hope it was helpful!
Nice review, only thing I just started to look into but do not see any comparisons out there yet is for where the M2 chip compares to Intel i7 or i9, I am leaning more toward a Maxed out 14 Pro with Max CPU/GPU, 32gb ram and 2 tb ssd
Umm you actually can upgrade the unified memory on the M2 13 inch MBP to 24GB. At least you can in the UK and US
Yes, that correction is in the pinned comment. Thank you!
So finally it’s MacBook Pro 13 or air
Where can i get those wallpaper?
Why not just get one Windows laptop!? You can find cheaper ones that you can upgrade with bigger screens and you're not depending on an arm processor so you can run most software and games!
That's another option, of course.
Windows laptops are usually terrible when it comes to build quality and battery unless you are spending Apple tire prices and if you’re paying Apple prices for a windows why not get a Mac, especially if you aren’t a gamer/have all of the gaming consoles.
Where can get the wallpapers??
wallpapers ???
Thanks for this review
Thanks for watching and for being part of the channel!
As a musician getting into MacBooks for the use of Logic Pro, any suggestions on which works best for performance and also general portability?
Pro line is for you,
What about the 15 inch air?
Unfortunately it wasn’t announced when I made this video. Here are my thoughts th-cam.com/video/0pnLpFbZgM4/w-d-xo.html
Which one is for editing film and photoshop plus has lots of memory storage?
Can i pleeeeaaaaase have one? My current huawei laptop is already laggy, and i don’t think it would last throughout college.😢
Whats the name of the app at 13:13 min?
I am currently trying to choose between a 14 inch MacBook Pro and a 16 inch MacBook Pro. People say that the 14 inch is portable which is good because I will need to be carrying it around, but I personally feel that the screen size is too small. I am worried that the 16 inch will be too heavy to carry around, but the screen size may be more comfortable. I am more if a laptop person than a monitor person, but I don’t know if that would change in the future. I was wondering if you could give your advice on this situation.
Also, just for extra information, I am going to be using the MacBook Pro primarily for music production.
15 inch MBA left the chat .....😂😂
the MPB 13 can go up to 24gb ram not just 16
That’s correct
I wish I could afford a MacBook. The prices are extortionate.
any comments on new MacBook 13 m2
