Man, I am hearing 1960's Star Trek music cues all over the 2 note ornamentals. I am getting a marriage license in the morning because I am in love with Disco Strings!
Awwwwwww! 💗💗💍💍🎻🙌 - can't tell you how much that means to us! In its best incarnation sample development is an act of love in terms of appreciating the deepest DNA of music. So when our users notice it at this level. It makes it all worthwhile. So thank you! Best, Troels
Thank you for the kindness Maliki. Means everything to us - as we pour our hearts and souls into making these releases as realistic as possible. 🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻
@@Soundpaintmusic Thank you also for your kindness message and im still remember many years before when ToneHammer launched requiem pro 14 years ago we were like child in Xmas :) Im in the same mood and feeling with Disco Strings USD. Will take my copy soon. 8Dio rocks . Greetings from Belgium🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I bought Disco Strings yesterday and have already used it-it's just awesome! I really hope it includes Violas and Cellos as well. I need a strings library with a dry sound. Additionally, I would love to have more run articulations, such as harmonic minor or diminished, because the run articulation sounds incredible... Thank you so much, SOUNDPAINT! Great job.
You really nailed the feel. Grew up listening to Meco’s disco remakes of film music by John Williams and others (was a John Williams fan boy as a child due to the Map Room cue from Raiders of the Lost Ark). And you really captured the vibe
I had MECO's Disco Star Wars on 8-track... and wore it out. Downloading Disco Strings now. 🪩 (Also, the Adastra upgrade from 8dio strings... So, hours to go before I sleep...)
Its a disco gem. The soundtrack for "For Your Eyes Only" by Bill Conti is another one. Bill Contis disco lore goes deep. Check this sugar gem: th-cam.com/video/Bxt-dzFn3Ks/w-d-xo.html
Soundpaint fam, I just got the Disco Strings collection and absolutely love it, the detail is perfect and this library is definitely one of a kind, I got quite a few string libraries that are great , but there’s nothing like these . Great job , i got to get my Bill Conti on and see what I’m blessed with today. Amazing work soundpaint fam.
W😍W! How could I hesitate 2 weeks?! Even for your cultural dive in history intro you deserve my money ♥️ Can you imagine how many times I tried to imitate real disco strings and always failed or ended at 50% pretending I am happy with the result? Yes, you can 😂 You did amazing job and I am going to make the purchase immediately. Thank you ❤
I like it! You know sometimes - we gotta venture into the forest. I often do experiments knowing its a bad idea in advance, but I know I will learn through the process too - and perhaps therein - discover something I haven't discovered before. So you go ahead - and would LOVE to hear the final results! Cheers, TrOeLs!
Can’t imagine how painstaking (but fun) it must have been recording and subsequently editing this library. This library is an achievement. Wish the drums were coming out now too… in the lab right now on a project that could use ‘em. 😉 Well these strings will be hitting big speakers in a few weeks 🔊
Thank you for reflecting this way. It is rare people think about the work of developers, but it is very real to us and super sweet to see users appreciate it. It is a deeply personal thing for us and glad you can feel the love. Cheers, Troels
So Soundpaint is a free analog inspired sample technology. It runs both as a standalone application and supports all midi keyboards. It also comes as AU, AAX and VST3, so virtually runs in all music software on both Mac and PC, including Logic, Ableton, Protools, Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio etc etc.
Sounds Amazing can't Wait!🙂 What BASS are you using on the Beethoven piece18:20 to 18:40? UPDATE: Nevermind lol you answered it at 23:42 -- Soundpaint Library -Jupiter 8 Analog Synth. Gonna buy this too along with Disco Strings. Love them both!
Thank you Peaches. The Jupiter 8 is really special - and we got a massive (free) update in the works too, so you can't go wrong on that one. Fun fact: We recorded the very Jupiter 8 that Flash Dance "Maniac" track was written on. It was used in Thriller too etc etc.
So there are several ways of achieving tightness. For example one can use Rack > Offset, which will cut a given proportion of the starting point off. One can use Rack > ADSR to adjust how sharp the attack is on the strings - or one can add Spiccato or Marcato parts on top of existing arts for more accentuated attack. We can also use Soundmode for triggering different things on different velocities using Velo Block. We could also modulate Effects EQ and/or Filters, so they shape the attack depending on what you wanna do ... and if you wanna go deep ... combine all of the above methods. Cheers, Troels
Yes. It is generally recommended to use multiple instances for more advanced production. The main reason being that most DAWs normally assign a CPU core per instance. So better utilization of resources, which in return means faster workflow.

My hat off!!! What a work!! Brilliant! And that "moog" solo on miute 24 "Corea style"!!!! And perfectly blended uff! Emotional! Beautiful demo.
Oh this Summer will be DISCO
Indeed! 🕺🪩💃
I thoroughly enjoyed that. What an absolutely brilliant video!!
This thing is crazy. When I get my next paycheck I will 100% get this!
Wonderful! I am looking forward to purchasing and creating music with the library

@@Soundpaintmusic My pleasure - purchase done now 🙂
I really liked how you acknowledged the history and function of disco in this video. Also, solid gold… SOLD!
Hadn’t even gotten to the semi-shoutout to MECO!
Thanks! I was surprised how deep the influence(s) goes for disco in my research. Disco has (and remains to be) much more influential then I thought.
This one is up there ... th-cam.com/video/Bxt-dzFn3Ks/w-d-xo.html
sounds like a fun library to work with
It is. Easy to use and with sweet playability. No lag or latency. It just plays!
@@Soundpaintmusic probably not much call for 12 tone disco though I have a hankering to try it out. Lol

Tthe "PINK PANTHER" cartoon theme song as a disco mix! COOL !
💗🎻
Instant buy!
you know these would be great for a Rocky score by Bill Conti. They have the same vibe. And let's not forget Meco's Star Wars.
YESSSSSS
Wow, absolutely love this. Quick question, would disco strings be useful in playing live situations…. Regardless, I’m going to be purchasing.
Yeah. You can use all of soundpaint live - many performers do already. We have a standalone version of the engine too - if that's useful.
Definitely can't wait for the Violas
They're not coming, the developer said to me that Cellos are next, but not Violas.
Very nice, I have only one question, whether you get that midi work when you buy the library. Ciao and tnx.
Amazing! Demos and the string library sound great. What drums are you using?
A mixture of our upcoming Disco Drums and some generic loops.
Wow! They are groovy and mix very well with the strings.🙂
Day one purchase from me when Disco Drums drops just like Disco Strings!
Sounds Amazing can't Wait!🙂 What BASS are you using on the Beethoven piece18:20 to 18:40?

Is there an option to set the attack to tight? Violins tend to start late.

I want the same patch that you have but can only get neumann akg or royer folders. How do i find the straight legato portamento patch?
Search for “porta” and it should show up for all three microphone types. Make sure you are in “Programs” and not “Parts” search. 🙏🏻
🎇💯😀🙏

Go it :)))
Dua Lipa lol 🤣
Disco is forever!
Nice... Are you using different (multiple) instances of SoundPaint for different libraries?
Yes. It is generally recommended to use multiple instances for more advanced production. The main reason being that most DAWs normally assign a CPU core per instance. So better utilization of resources, which in return means faster workflow.
