Regarding his lightsaber hilt, if you look carefully, Darth Malak and Darth Revan lightsaber is shape like the "Star Forge" which is the ancient star base in the game. Very nice detail.
the next one should be HK-47 based on popularity alone; I'd be surprised if we ever get the 9 companions of Revan (Jolee, Juhani, Carth, Canderous, etc). Perhaps if the remake is ever released.

Hello Mike glad to see you posting another video. I myself never played KOTOR so I have little info on this character, but when I saw him, I knew I wanted him. Just like Revan, I had no idea who he was other than a Sith and that was good enough for me. I love the look of this figure and I want him. I enjoy the expanded Star Wars universe though I know almost nothing about the expanded stuff. Just like Scar Squad, I just want them they look awesome. I actually played Force Unleashed so I definitely want Starkiller, but I really haven't played anything else but I'm ok with getting figures that look great but I know nothing about. I didn’t play the game but I’m aware of his existence. That’s a snazzy action figure. Hasbro could get away with making these as well we enjoy those armored warriors with laser swords. Ralph McQuarrie got it. He was going to give laser swords to all his space knights. Blasters are cool when you get that gunslinger/bounty hunter character. But the guy with sword in armor is just a tick about that warrior with blaster. Obi-Wan was right. Cool review. That face is gnarly in a radical sort of way. His “saber” (for all those screaming at me for calling it a laser sword) is a great look. I’ll get this figure I suppose in time. I’m just not buying into much Black Series till I get my Book of Boba Fett characters. I love that show. I would really like those characters. So I’m gonna wait and buy the ones I really really want them pick up the others which look cool.
Game has been delayed, supposedly it’s supposed to be done by the end of Spring 2024, but I’d bet on end of 2024 or early 2025. It hasn’t been cancelled though, just in development hell
@@MikeKaess I saw that too but apparently the modded content was for the release of KOTOR 2 on the Nintendo Switch, not the remake. people are not happy about that since apparently the modded expansion was what made the game playable for a lot of people!

This is an outstanding figure. Hope we get the Republic Trooper that comes with all the extras like the 3.75 version of him. As not many people are aware of D Malak, the price will increase.
The extreme lack of paint on this is a killer for me. The bright red costume just SCREAMS for the need of a wash. Without it, it just looks too bright and toy-ish for me. Add the limited wrist articulation and the limited butters and it’s an okay release. Glad for those who were really wanting more KOTOR stuff.
It's funny that his lightsaber storage is on his butt, because in the games, no one has a hook or anything. So, it just kind of looked like they were pulling their lightsaber out of their ass. 10/10 figure of the decade for potential metaness In terms of KOTOR characters that I want: Mandalore, T3, and Mission Vao.

Great review Mike. I have no connection to the figure as I didn't grow up playing this game. Your review shows it's a great figure that I should get. Unfortunately he is a victim of my budget (I spent a lot lately on Indiana Jones figures). So pass for now.. but you do raise my eyebrow on this figures coolness. Nice Job!!!
The Gaming Greats figures are far and away the best Black Series figures being made right now. Even if there is a lot of parts reusage the character selection is so great!
Yay! I remember when I found the entire 30th 3 3/4 EU wave with both him and Revan at a Walmart back in 2007. I passed because at tgectime I had a new girlfriend and she was cutting into my figure budget😐 That was the day I stopped collecting Star Wars until I picked up some $9 clearance orange line Black Series in 2015.Happy to be long free of that and have a chance to have Lord Malak in my collection finally 😅

The thing is I find KOTOR a hard recommend to new players, as while it's widely regarded as one of the best (if not *the* best) Star Wars games it's definitely dated in some regards and can be hard to get into, which is part of the reason I was looking forward to the remake but uhh...well, that doesn't seem to be going well.

So I was taking the mouth piece off and it popped off and now it’s lost.. so I ordered another for half price.. some cool custom fodder I guess
