    Ok, I have an idea. Maybe somebody has already suggested this idea but here it goes. They do sell long and wide rolls of plastic sheeting for construction. Maybe you can choose a length and pick an area on the piles so when the pigeons fall they land on the plastic and at the end of your run, you can pull the whole sheet back with the pigeons on top of them. Just thinking out loud.

      Don't know, James, a lot of guys advise me in the comments to get a pair of snowshoes but those are pretty expensive to waste for such an activity, I think... Yes, the birds stay there, live there, nest there... They enter through multiple entry points, the place is huge.

    is that the su12fpe version or FAC? if FAC, how many shots do you get out of one fill? i am really liking the prophet and i'm planning to get her as my first pcp!!

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, mate. It's an FAC. The number of shots depend on the power setting of the gun and the fill pressure of the air tank, as you know. I haven't counted but I usually fill my gun up to no more than 250 bars, so that I don't put the reg under too much stress. With that 500cc bottle on the Prophet I get dozens of shots, no less than 60, I think.

    I've been hunting waterfowl many years, but just wondering that with pin point accuracy and the fact they're near tame you're still shooting them in the gut area? Why not just go for headshots? Alot more humane of a kill.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's because they are so many Fred, and headshots take more time to aim - due to the way pigeons bob their heads all the time in all directions. It's because of their vision. I have several head shot videos and all the snowflakes watching curse at me in the comments because they thing it's inhumane to let the birds suffer. Apparently they think the severe nerve reaction caused by a headshot means they're still alive and kicking.
