wow i love dr hook and thought i heard all their tunes but i somehow missed this one . what a fantastic song this is . absolutely beautiful thank you for posting this
I have been a fan off DL n dr hook since the early 70, I remember my dad said I would grow out off it , but married 2kids 1 granddaughter and I still am a big fan. Even going to see him for my anivercery in march just love him
My opinion, Dennis's voice and talent is second to none. And that includes Elvis and Sinatra. If you will spend some time to listen to him, you will see what I am saying. I'm not talking about charisma or his stage presence or name recognition. But his beautiful voice and delivery. Dennis never misses a word or a note. Perfection.
i would love to get my hand on the colloction 3 boxed ser dennis has the best voice i have ever hear been listening to dr hook as long as i can remember . that voice really grabs me
This beautiful song is from the period around 1976, written by a Barber. Sung by Dennis Locoriere, The song dind`nt make it to the "A Little Bit More" album. Some folks at Capitol records want dennis Locorriere to released this and some others on a solo album, but Dennis wanted to stay in the band. You can find the song on the collection 3 CD box "History Pleasure and Pain" You will find many songs there who is preveiously unreleased.
+Linda Mongillo I agree with you Linda. In my opinion it is "THE BEST" by Dennis with Dr. Hook. But there were many more great songs by them. Dennis could sing a ballad with more passion and feeling than anyone, in my humble opinion!
+xxxbarflyxxx you are so right! There are just too many to name! Dennis could sing the phone book and make you feel it! I love him with Hook, but I really love his solo work! His voice is rich and so soulful! He truly touches my heart and soul! I want do bad to see him live, and if everything goes as planned, my friend and I will be going to the UK in 2016 to see him, since he won't gone to the US!
Perry Barber wrote the song! Dennis recorded it for a solo album, but per Dennis's own words, "The band was just coming out of bankruptcy and needed hits so my solo stuff was released as DH. I agreed but cld hv kicked myself later."
Beautiful, Probably the only one that can sing this song.
this man's voice just does it for me i could listen to him all day
All their songs have deep meanings and Dennis always always gives life to the songs he sings.
