I had the privilege of listening to Dr Hook in a live concert here in Aberdeen, Scotland tonight. The current band was excellent and, at 72, Locorriere’s voice is still amazing.
You are so lucky. First time I heard Dennis is back out touring again since this stupid pandemic. Hopefully someone will post some of Dennis Locorriere recent tour on TH-cam so we can see how he's doing. So glad he's touring again. 👍❤
My bride and I just celebrated our 43rd! She's a 2 year survivor of breast cancer and now I'm going through my 3rd round of Chemo for Multiple Myeloma (Boon/Blood Cancer. There's no cure -only chemo treatment. I'm only doing this because she's what I live for. If anything happened to her, I would not go through this but right now I want to spend every day, every minute I can with her! We love each other as much now as we did 43 years ago! Maybe more! We still hold hands when walking down the street. We hug and kiss whenever we meet or depart. We cuddle at night and sometimes even hold hands while we sleep. I could never find another love like that - and I wouldn't want to live without it.
I will keep you both in my prayers for many more years of time to LOVE each other... Look into Vit D3 high potency and DMSO to treat Bone cancer in combination..... Healing Love!!

The love you feel for one another is so apparent in your well spoken post it's almost palpable. I'm sure yall have gone through farmore of the ups & downs of life like the cancer's you both have had to deal with in these latter years. The fact that you're still together & so much in love is a testament to just how deep your commitment to one another truly is. That's something to be both thankful for & celebrated as it is becoming harder & harder for people to find in today's crazy world. I had to respond to your awesome post as it touched my heart deeply due to the fact that it's taken me two thirds of my life to learn how to love & care for my wife like this. Unfortunately for my wife of 38 years this coming june, unlike me, she was capable of both unconditionally loving me & truly meaning it when we took our vows. I, on the other hand, being an unwanted child from a broken family wasn't capable of either one. In fact she was the first person to love me unconditionally in my life & it was like a drug to me for several years & I used & abused it like one would a drug for the majority of our marriage. Needless to say we have never had a reciprocating love like you & your wife's & after all the damage I've done over the years I would be amazed if we ever do. The fact that she's still with me at all is IMHO a major miracle in itself. She still loves me unconditionally & always will, but after so many years of me breaking her trust, I doubt she'll ever be able to fully trust me at all & understandably so. That's why I think yall are two of the most blessed people in the world & had to point this out to you just in case you haven't fully realized this fact. Fantastic band, quality songs, had the chance to see Dennis Locorriere in Milton Keynes but had to work. biggest disappointment of my life but at least the mother in-law bought me a CD of his so as not to feel I had missed out too much

Went to see Dennis Locorriere on my birthday 9th March this year at The Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. Andy Fairweather Low was appearing with him. Had a fabulous evening. Dennis is as good as ever. Saw him 10 years ago at The Brentwood Centre. I just love Dr Hook! Never got to see them as a band though. At the Brentwood Centre Benny Gallagher from the Gallagher Brothers sang with him and a couple of other famous band members, I think the drummer was from Dire Straits.
My father said that Sunday, 12 noon to 12:30, was the western music time for the radio in parts of Karnataka from All India Radio, it is from that source in 1977, that he was introduced to Dr. Hook, "When you are in love," Sexy eyes" "Sylvia's mother" and "years from now." My dad said that he thought that Dr. Hook was this man Dennis and he was a doctor turned singer. It is only post 2014, google and wikipidia times, that I was able to tell him that Dr. Hook was just the name. But I too loved his music.
Many, very many if you are young reading this and if you are not so young,not so long ago,it seems this was a big hit.I was at college.Living the student life, little money, always hungry but happy and hungry for life.I lived in a student houuse with a great group of people.Mad and full of energy,young and eggar to learn about everything.Music was my backdrop to it all.Looking back if I could I would just flip the switch and do it all again.In memory of my friends from our group that are gone.RIP and love always.JF☘️

Went to see Dennis Locorriere on my birthday 9th March this year at The Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. Andy Fairweather Low was appearing with him. Had a fabulous evening. Dennis is as good as ever. Saw him 10 years ago at The Brentwood Centre. I just love Dr Hook! Never got to see them as a band though. At the Brentwood Centre Benny Gallagher from the Gallagher Brothers sang with him and a couple of other famous band members, I think the drummer was from Dire Straits.

My father said that Sunday, 12 noon to 12:30, was the western music time for the radio in parts of Karnataka from All India Radio, it is from that source in 1977, that he was introduced to Dr. Hook, "When you are in love," Sexy eyes" "Sylvia's mother" and "years from now." My dad said that he thought that Dr. Hook was this man Dennis and he was a doctor turned singer. It is only post 2014, google and wikipidia times, that I was able to tell him that Dr. Hook was just the name. But I too loved his music.
Many, very many if you are young reading this and if you are not so young,not so long ago,it seems this was a big hit.I was at college.Living the student life, little money, always hungry but happy and hungry for life.I lived in a student houuse with a great group of people.Mad and full of energy,young and eggar to learn about everything.Music was my backdrop to it all.Looking back if I could I would just flip the switch and do it all again.In memory of my friends from our group that are gone.RIP and love always.JF☘️
