Just came to TH-cam to look for this year's 24 hours of Lemons, because I just found out my nephew is driving in it this year, with a Volvo 5 cylinder! Go Andrew!
I have great memories of a 5th Ave with a tilt wheel that broke at the joint, and it was one of the most dangerous cars to drive you ever saw. I used baling wire to try and stabilize the column but it was a death trap. The 318 was a peppy little thing though.
Fun fact: I took my ASA stockcar to NCM shortly after it opened for a track day, and the following week the petition was signed for noise and delivered to NCM. Sorry everyone, I may have been THAT guy.
I am here to make a clarification before it goes unnoticed. The 'Identify the Head Gasket' penalty game was provided by Dumpster Fire Motorsports, not Dumpster Fire Racing. Those silly raskals at Dumpster Fire Motorsports and their Ford Focus should not be confused with Dumpster Fire Motorsports and our Subaru Impreza Flaming Pile of Something. WE are working on a trademark and will be sending Dumpster Fire Racing a cease and desist.
Theres a lemons car (Corvette) advertised locally here...pics of it at a lemons race...6500 bucks...so this 500 dollar nonsense is and always has been a farce
They literally address this in one of the videos. You can get a pre raced car a lot cheaper than 6500 but yes once you get one caged and the seat installed and fire suppression, you will have more than 500. Those things are exempt
Lemons is the only approved race series for a ti!

The Edsel was a born lemon, and has finally found its true calling.
As someone named Tom who went to Space Camp (and had an amazing time), I felt like that segment was just for me. Sorry you didn't get to go, Eric.
Lemme guess, heart attack?

the ti is the only Lemons approved bmw
How about a 330xi with a welded transfer case and crap coilovers?
@@natepacheco2602 That’s how we did the 318! Weld her up!
I always suspected, mes amis, that the Edsel motorcar was made for something...and NOW I know what !
It was born to race!
The oil in that 5th Avenue looked like it was devolving back into the dinosaur from whence it came! 🦕
Another week and it might have turned into diamonds. Or perhaps cubic zirconia.

6500 is in race ready form. Roll cage, fire suppression, brakes, tires, and other safety items are exempt from the $500 cost.
