Between 2021's "unique" calls in F1, the WEC and DTM and 2022's NASCAR's season (and IndyCar apparently had some weird ones too), I have to say following motorsports can be exhausting at times from how things are relegated and enforced. However, you're right in saying that next year is what matters and I hope next year will be a lot more positive for NASCAR and every other motorsport as well. Nice vid man! Also that second Texas race was pure agony. I seriously hope it's removed from the 2024 schedule and onwards unless they can fix it...if that's even possible.
I watch F1 as well. One of the best reviewers I had the luck of finding this year was a TH-camr named Rocketpoweredmohawk. Trust me, it is well worth the watch.
@@OskarasNauseda It definitely wasn't the only one but it was BY FAR the most controversial: Abu Dhabi 2021. Context: going into the final race of the season, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were tied on points. Max took pole but Lewis took the lead on lap 1 (which was also a bit controversial, as when Max repassed him Lewis just cut the whole damn corner without a penalty or even being forced to give back the position, also Lewis should have been starting 12th and not 2nd, but moving on). Lewis led for most of the race thereafter and was set to win the race and the championship. However, on lap 53/58, Nicholas Latifi crashed and brought out the safety car. As it took a while to clean up, people thought the race wouldn't restart. And by lap 57 the race still wasn't restarted, and at this point even if you wanted to restart, you needed to wait for the lapped cars to unlap themselves all the way, and there was no time for that. The race director, Micheal Masi, ordered only the lapped cars between Max and Lewis to start unlapping and restarted it anyway before they could even have a chance to unlap completely. And since Max pitted under the safety car and Lewis didn't, Max had a MASSIVE tire advantage, overtook Lewis, won the race and the championship.
@@dragance9995 and Masi was eventually fired for that decision, yet Max still gets to keep his championship. Now I'm just hoping that Ferrari can get their shit together and give Hamilton an 8th championship to cement himself as the greatest of all time.
Here’s my take on this. Despite some bad officiating and drivers getting hurt, I think it was a good season. Like we had some excellent racing on intermediate, including the Coke 600. I agreed that the cars need to be fixed. And the racing at both Talladega races were amazing with a lot of action and little crashes

Big time Wallace fan, I felt his anger because he was on rails in Vegas but wasn’t too happy with his actions. I swear on my life if NASCAR isn’t consistent with their penalty calls with things like this I’ll be sending hand written letters to NASCAR calling them idiots in officiating and consistency
First, this is a very well done video. Second, NASCAR is continually improving, but this is because they continually mess up. In my opinion, which impacts exactly nothing, the major flaw here is a single family wanting, enjoying, and exercising complete control of a professional sport. Maybe the best thing that could happen would be for the drivers and owners to ban together and form another sanctioning body and compete directly with NASCAR. The fans are there for the drivers, not the France family.
17:58 I'll add this fact into it. The race at Vegas was held on October 16th. The last time a race was held that day at that track, somebody went home in a body bag, it was 2011, and we lost Dan Wheldon that day.
Your content has made me interested in NASCAR. It's seriously that good. Too much NASCAR content on TH-cam is just bland and boring. Your sense of humour is refreshing in this space. Brilliant stuff
Very sad to see Kurt out of NASCAR now, but I was lucky enough to see his last race in person. I think he could’ve been in for the title fight this year.
To be fair, he never said he was done racing entirely, just that he was stepping away from doing a whole season, as we could still see him doing part-time races this year as long as he's cleared by his doctors. But I do agree that we could have seen him fight for the title again. It is sad that got cut short for him, and all those hard hits he had taken previously in 2022 didn't help either.
Fantastic video! Everything from the jokes, editing, and information was incredible. Definitely one of the best Nascar and possibly TH-cam videos I have ever seen! 👏

It's the same in F1. It's _such_ a level of incompetence that I refuse to believe it's not intentional. Someone's getting paid by someone to try to change results, or just penalize certain teams or drivers and often it works.

Nascar has their own agenda in terms of how they like things to turn out usually the team with the most money will probably always have a favorable decision made in their favor and that's one thing I get tired of and why I kind of stopped watching NASCAR who wants to see the same car and the same teams with their same cars consistently win or in the top three or five week after week after week and qualify number one that is boring someday they'll probably have about four teams with four cars because no one will be able to compete unless you have an empire of money.

So is it safe to say thay motorsports is under a dark age?
Nascar has their own agenda in terms of how they like things to turn out usually the team with the most money will probably always have a favorable decision made in their favor and that's one thing I get tired of and why I kind of stopped watching NASCAR who wants to see the same car and the same teams with their same cars consistently win or in the top three or five week after week after week and qualify number one that is boring someday they'll probably have about four teams with four cars because no one will be able to compete unless you have an empire of money.
This is the funniest nascar content ive ever watched. Great work man
