- Top 10 easiest summer sweaters to knit and what yarn to use Summer is the best time to knit and summer sweaters are about the easiest to make because there are not sleeves, and typically the shaping is pretty easy. Who doesn't love that. I've selected 10 of the easiest and most attractive summer sweater patterns for you and I've looked at the the yarns required and suggested which yarn to use for each. You can even download a handy spreadsheet with a link to all the summer sweaters, their patterns on Ravelry with the gauge and my yarn recommendations.

I've day dreamed about the padron since last summer - - once I clear these WIPs that's next on my needles!!! 😊
I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Smith designs so it was nice to see her featured in your lovely choices. Currently knitting her Cruel Summer.
I’ve said it before but I appreciate that you share patterns and designers that we don’t see on every other channel. Add several of the ones you featured to my favorites. Thanks!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching ❤️
I really liked the Sabai so classy! Thanks for the chart!
I'm a newer knitter and I look for patterns without complicated construction methods and simple knitting patterns.
TFS
Absolutely- I think a lot of newer knitters shy away from sweaters that are knit bottom up and seamed, but top down in-the-round sweaters often have much more complicated construction requirements

As a man, I appreciate and was wondering if a women's sweater can also become a man's sweater, maybe color change or so, but is that possible to use a women's pattern for a man? Thank You and I know the ? sounds stupid
Hey, that doesn’t sound stupid at all. A sweater is a sweater, and I don’t think anything makes a garment inherently masculine or feminine. You just want to choose the style that suits you and the fit you like. Start with a dropped shoulder design. They tend to be very flattering on the square shoulders of a man’s build. My advice is always to measure a sweater that fits you the way you like it and choose the size that’s closest to that measurement. With the extended size range available in most patterns, you shouldn’t have a problem finding a size to fit.
Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to comment and reach out 😊
