Also, odd, mean parental comments regarding body image, intelligence, and sexuality also hurt me a great deal when I was growing up. I was looking to them to help understand things and usually walked away crushed. As I got older their comments didn't matter as much and especially when I reminded them they were no prize either, lol! I like myself these days😊

I agree. Most men are good guys, but they are insecure too and that is a deal braking condition in any relashionship. You tell me, I was once crowned Miss Insecured. I worked on it, but now my prospects have shrink, because you can not cure insecurity on anothers.

Why aim this at women, and what they 'need' to know about men's insecurities? As you stated throughout, we all suffer insecurities, both sexes. Sadly it's a human condition, especially today. I've been on this planet for quite some time, and I know how little men care about women's insecurities. I'm tired of being expected to understand the man in my life, when usually he doesn't give a dam about understanding me.
