I am grateful for the information. One issue though is I cannot find support for his claim that Zionists were the first to use the word Nakba on flyers dropped on villages.

Also "leaving Gaza" meant in Israel's eyes cutting essentially "cutting" the numbers of Palestinian refugees-another effort, imaginative at first, to "thin" the population and thus "the problem."

They’re Iran’s Jihadis- They’re great at “CUTTING “ the numbers of their own population by using them as human shields and teaching their young to glorify death and the killing of Jews..imaginative at first, to purposefully “thin” your population for political gain and thus ”the problem. “

The Palestian are Palestina, the group of Russia they say they are Jews came in 1948 than it was wen the United Nations started and say you can get some land in Palestine. But why the Middle East if you are in trouble with the People In the Area.

Huh? The Jewish settlers had been there for a while, and Great Britain helped to facilitate the creation of Israel throughout the mandate period. The partition plan was just the last phase of that process.

Tx, from Ireland, really find your interviews and guests interesting.
Though re your guest, putting Ireland in with New Zealand, Canada alongside England is misleading. Ireland was colonized brutally by England for centuries and the Irish were and are Gaels not Angles. There was a settler colonial population planted into Ireland. Ireland isn't and has never been an Anglo country, it's not a part of the Anglosphere, it struggled to maintain its culture and Irish language which the English banned and suppressed

Is the Israeli Shekel legal tender in Palestine? Is monopoly a form of slavery?

I was watching a documentary about Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem and the patriarchate was holding legal documents to prove the land was purchased from Ottoman Empire . Later I was surprised to learn Turks ruled whole area including Mecca for five hundred years.

Yes, and there is a fountain at the Armenian Patriarchate that commemorates the endowment by the Ottomans. It is interesting to note that the Armenians were “favorites” at the Ottoman court until the late 19th century and the rise of nationalism across the Empire.

@@deborahgordon1812 Palestinian citizenship was invented during the 20th century, starting during the British Mandate following the Oslo Peace process, with the Mandate’s definition including the Jews of Palestine and the Arabs of Jordan. There has never been a sovereign Palestinian authority that explicitly defined who is a Palestinian, but the term evolved from a geographic description of citizenship to a description of geographic citizenship with an Arab ethnicity. Palestinian people are an invention.
