Hi, I was wondering what is the 4K SUPER SLOW option under the SUPER SLOW MOTION? Because I feel like it has better resolution than super slow motion mode?
We don't use the camera that often for slow motion, and I'm not familiar with that option. In super slow motion, the camera requires MUCH more light. A 4K option would be even worse. So, I wouldn't try it without good studio lighting.
Why do you feel a need to upgrade the camera? Suggestions on upgrading would depend on what you need it do do differently. The FS700 is now an older camera and newer models do many things better. Some features may be improved with a firmware update or different lens. We have purchased an additional lens for ours and added accessories, but have not otherwise felt the need to upgrade. If we do, we'll probably buy a new camera.
@@storysbycfilms..670 We use an Atomos Shogun Flame to record 4K from our FS700. It takes some fiddling with settings, but it is compatible with the camera and does work. We don't do it often, however, because it's a lot less convenient than having a camera with built-in 4K. (We also have a Panasonic Lumix GH5S.)
@@nicholasjackson1 I believe so. The camera feeds output to the recorder and needs to be configured properly for the connection to work. Once set up, the Shogun should record whatever the camera outputs. I haven't actually tried this, however, because we have never done that much slow motion work and newer 4K cameras are a much easier set-up.
My man, you just helped me out! Thanks!

@@TonalVisionLLC Are you able to record the slow motion (120 or 240) externally to the shogun?
