@@Mineral_dude The video was great! “Problem” is there's nothing to wish for me anymore now since you just did the most extreme cave trip possible in the US. Huge respect for it! I've only 1 wish left but that's a very big one. In Europe we have Veryovkina Cave, the deepest cave in the world. If you are ever close please try to go as deep as you can 🙏
These videos are awesome man. Only cave I've ever been through is Mamouth cave in Kentucky. I was blown away by the little of it I got to see during my trip. I'm in Canada with no caves anywhere around here. The mystery of what's underground and being such a tiny group of people that get to experience that is awesome. I binge watch these videos. Keep up the good work showing us all what's down there.
Dude grab a shovel and some hammer drills and make your own cave 💪 nah that sucks no caves are around but shit I appreciate you tuning in! If you’re ever in the tag area hit me up
Awesome, thank you so much for showing the complete run-through. It's crazy how close y'all came last time. 😎 Next time, whenever you put any text up on screen though, please consider trying to leave it up for at least a solid 3 seconds or so.. Sometimes, whenever some text came up, it was for literally a half a sec or so at the most and I kept having to rewind to see what it said. Lol.
Dude that’s so funny you bring it up, when I’m editting those in my head I’m like - “don’t leave them up too long it will piss people off” 😂 sorry dude next time I’ll remember this comment
@Mineral_dude I don't have instagram at present. But I'll get it. Will be late today or possibly in a few days. Hiking. Coverage very spotty. Near Brasstown bald at present. I don't do caves myself. Uncontrollable levels of fear about that. Snowboard & ski, used to skydive, scuba, polevault for pity's sake. But no caves. Just be careful. Hypothermia is a real thing, and real dangerous. Guy got hung up in ropes undr one of the waterfalls and died of exposure before they could resucue him.
There’s a cave out in Polk county off of hwy 113 , right off the side of road , inside is a pit we dropped a 100 ft rope with lantern down and never touched bottom and the light was almost gone , be supper cool if someone could find out how deep it is !
@@Mineral_dude I’ll try, but I used to work in cartersville and go out that way installing fences, you could see it on the left leaving cartersville headed out 113! Was a small White House or double wide on left and cave wasn’t probably 200ft from house and maybe 100 ft from the road ! Used to park off the road and walk up! Going straight in, some ways back was a rope to climb up about 20ft and than a huge pit once you reached the top of rope ! No rope going down though into pit, we was kids and no experience with ropes or gear for it! Left it a mystery ! A path at the entrance to the left was a belly crawl for a long way, my buddy almost had a panic attack and got stuck ! Breath out and inch forward , over and over 😂
Dude 8:11 was almost the thumbnail, such a cool shot!!! 31:47 - I know Wes has such a beautiful voice 😂 41:45 - I thought that fucker was going to rip my arm out of its socket when it landed lmaooo
Thanks man, yeah it was sick 🤘 honestly not as hard as everybody had hyped it up to be but I had been playing around in ellisons for weeks at this point
Love your videos Jacob! I've been watching you, and all of your caving group for a couple of years, and you guys make the best caving videos that I've seen. Anyway, I've been caving for 60 years. But I started when I was 2 so... yea. I moved to North Vernon from Florida about 3 years ago, and still haven't gone caving here. EVER! And I grew up near Dayton, so I can't believe I've never gone here. So, I'm interested in going caving with you. Any of your group would be great, but I know you live here, so let me know if you are interested.
Nah so there’s a 500 footer next to fantastic called Smokey pit (1&2) and then there’s an older caver named smokey who owned fox mountain, well when he died he said he wanted cavers to use it whenever they wanted to FOREVER and the scci bought it and fucked it up by making it where you have to pull permits and can’t camp, shit like that, it makes me angry when I think about it but Smokey’s legend lives on!!!
@@Mineral_dude The old man Smokey was my very good friend. I have camped with him for many years. Seeing this reminded me of his place. He was one bat shit crazy old man! In a good way, lol! Yeah, I and my friends tried to aquire the place to save it from development. He was the reason you guys have ropes long enough to get into some of the deep drops, as he was the one who developed the technology to make them. He told me that he sold the company when he retired, and bought the place. I will love and miss Smokey forever. He was truly a great man. May he rest in peace. P.S. I loved your content, I watched it to the end.
@@Mineral_dude Hey, just found out my Buddy Smoky's place is now a LGBTQ private membership campground. Damn shame. He wanted that cave system open to the caving community forever.
@@Mineral_dude That's what I said. Smokey died, and his family sold it off to the highest bidders. He was a really fun guy, but would never have let this happen. I am sure if his family would have known, they would not have sold it to them.
I guess a number between 8 and 14 everytime I say how long it is.. jk but I feel like I’ve said something different everytime - we’ll go with 26 miles today 👍
Idk man honestly my best friend talks very loudly and I noticed after I moved away I also talked very loudly, I think after hanging out with him for many years it just kinda stuck around

Just around the corner from me. Be careful. Lot of people get hypothermic down there. Few died recently.
I've been gliding off that ridge at Pigeon. Exciting. Lot of thermals.
Hey could you message me on Instagram? I linked my profile in my bio, I’d love to learn more about both those things
