Thank you so much for the comparison! I just got my cool one and I feel like the pillow is not really staying at its place when I put it around my neck. Also I feel like there is not enough hold coming from the strap. Maybe I should return it and exchange it for the original one..? Or even the Plus one..?
Hey thanks for watching. I'm sure you did, but did you remove the temporary protective layer of fabric from the end of the Cool pillow? I noticed when I got it, they added a thin bit of material over the velcro to protect it during shipping. The Cool and Original have a similar amount of velcro thats both in the middle, wrapping it tight but not too tight yields the most secure fit and making sure the velcro lines up to the line of the other side so it has the most contact. I would actually say the Plus has more velcro and perhaps a better fit for some, because the Plus velcro is 2 piece, one upper and one lower.
@@PackingLess Hi, thank you so much for your reply! Yes, I have removed the temporary protective layer of fabric when trying it on but I still don't feel much support. Maybe I should exchange the Cool Pillow for the Plus instead of the Original..
Thanks for showing all three and sharing your thoughts. I think the Cool looks like a nice, but reading another comment I might just spring for the Plus.
I have developed a severe spinal deformity due to ankylosing spondylitis and a few other complications, which together have caused me to be unable to sleep in any position except sitting up in bed. So I have a bed wedge to lean against; however, this creates an additional painful problem with my neck as my pillow inevitably flattens or moves slightly from where I had put it before falling asleep … Therefore I’m looking for a travel pillow that will keep my neck supported throughout the night instead of allowing my head and neck to tip way backwards. My question about this travel pillow (any/all of the three you reviewed here) is can I put the plastic stabilizing part behind my neck, vs. on one side or the other of my neck? Every ad I see for the trtl pillows shows the stabilizer only on one side or the other of the model’s neck … Thanks in advance for any answers or suggestions you may have to offer, and be well! 🥰🥰🥰
You absolutely can put it behind or in front which I believe I have seen them mention in some videos somewhere before. I think putting it at the back in conjunction with a headrest should be doable and comfortable. I believe they have a good return policy if you arent satisfied with it too :)
@@PackingLess Thanks so much for your reply - I really appreciate your assistance with this question! 🥰🥰🥰. You’ve tried putting it behind your head then? I ask because so far, everyone else who has responded to this question (which I posted on around 20 TH-cam video reviews for the trtl line of products) has said it isn’t designed to go behind your head and won’t work well if you try.
@@hello-vs4dc I did on the plane but I have to say it’s hard to judge because the plane seats have a more irregular neck shape, I just got it out (the original trtl) and tried it while sitting on the sofa and it’s quite comfortable but it does feel a bit of pressure on the front of the neck when you lean back.
I’m just browsing looking for a good travel pillow at the moment, thought I’d drop a comment and see if something like the zillo pillow might work for you as it has spine support. Haven’t tried one myself but I’m considering it.
@@PackingLess yes, but is the shortest it can be taller than the normal one? and is the shortest it can be taller than the normal one? in other words where to the extremes lie in respect to the standard one? just providing the standard ones size and the range of the plus would be so much help for people to decide...

@@nadiae.2638 It might be worth trying, my gf found the plus more comfortable than the 'cool'

Does the plus adjust so that is become larger (as the name would suggest) or larger and smaller in respect to the normal one?
The plus is more padded and has adjustable height on both sides
