I recorded an album that pretty much no ones liked, I knew nothing about what I was doing, no theory, no experience, I just liked sounds and putting patterns together that caught my ear. Haven’t put anything together since then. 11-12 years later I play it for my daughter and one of her favorite songs is on it. Now, at 4 years old, she’s interested in synthesizers and recording sound. I wish I had stayed with it, but now I’ve got a possible artist to get back into it with who was inspired by something I made and she’s inspiring me.

There's no such thing as too late. I thought that too, but after dabbling in electronic music production as a teen, I'm now back in it going on 30 y/o soon. I had "given up" on it cause I wasn't super young anymore, but having spent a lot of free time experimenting and studying, I have made *insane* progress from where I was. If you like doing it, do it. Don't let your age stop you.
Some of the best advice I ever heard was about beauty, not music; "You don't get to decide if you look good to someone." Similarly I don't get to decide what my best song is, people will listen and they'll decide.
I learnt from Mac DeMarco this thing that really helped this. Instead of recording each bit of one song over a long period of time, record one bit of as many songs as you can in a short period of time. So if I've got a free Saturday afternoon, I'll just record every single guitar part I've been working on. Then that night I'll record all the vocals, then all the basslines a few days later, etc. It made the quantity of my work way larger, and weirdly enough I felt like quality wasn't even sacrificed much at all.
That's an interesting way of working, I semi did that the other day with my album in a day project. But at the same time I personally I don't think it would work for me but the fact that it's working for other people I might try it out for sure. Love Mac DeMarco this old dog was probably my favorite album of that year so it scratch that I just realized flying microtonal banana came out that year, but this old dog is a close second.

This really helps as somebody with debilitating imposter syndrome and perfectionism. I worry way too much that things aren't "perfect" when I should be just making mistakes and learning along the way. Wonderful video.
Same. I've been "working" on an EP for four years. What!? Sounds absurd when I say it... the songs are all there, the parts are all there. Where's the damn EP?
The idea of working quickly is sooo important. I just released my first project (Ben Po - Warmth) and I made one of the songs, ‘Night’ in like 90 minutes because I was working like a mad man. I edited after but I think it’s super important to work with the creative energy/spark quickly so that you don’t lose it.
That was my point of view exactly! When I was first uploading stuff on youtube I was a bit frustrated by not having an audience so I remember googling something like "Why does no one give a shit about my music" and I came across this article saying how i can take advantage of this situation by freely experimenting on stuff so then I just recorded my first album solely on my old phone, no mixing or mastering whatsoever and published it. It's been a year since and now I feel like I have improved quite a bit since then and I'm gonna release my second one in a month or two.
I encourage everyone to make music of what ever kind, these days genuine human art is more needed than ever. Ive been producing electronic music for years now but i'd been losing interest in making music since 2023. I bought a 4 track cassette tape recorder n picked up a guitar, started making music purely for fun and putting my tapes on a website that nobody really knows about. Its really freeing to explore new musical territories and experimenting for the sake of enjoyment
Really resonate with this. As someone who places experimentation at the core of my process and work, sometimes I get caught up in the "does this sound good" aspect and lose touch with what makes the process so great which is the experimentation.
This came at the perfect time, so for that my friend, thank you!! I have an album that I paid good money for to have mixed and mastered and I'm starting to get cold feet. I've already got a few of the songs out as singles, but for some reason releasing the project is scary all of a sudden. Synchronicity is SUUUCH a cool thing having led me here to hear your words of encouragement just when I needed them most‼️👊🏻 The entire video was spot on for my current situation, even at 62 years old and being a musician of 50 years. It was that last one minute and 25 seconds however that plugged DIRECTLY into a me and the scenario I literally just faced. Impeding my own "flow" by INSISTING an older album of 11 songs was remixed/remastered, and released, but it was a monumental undertaking that would've meant over 300 hours of mixing. But I have lived the words you said in that last minute of this video, and they are very true, for as I closed down that project and opened up the DAW, an amazing new song that I knew was sitting there in the back of my mind was blown down on to tracks complete with four part vocal harmonies in roughly 45 minutes💪🏻 Thank you for keeping the "rogue" element of music alive, encouraging others as I always have to keep their heads down and play what they love . For me, the instrument is placed over my heart…not laying on my eyeballs, so that what resonates through it is true❤️🔥 Be well my Brother👊🏻 Thank you again‼️ Cheers, Wolf🐾

I completely subscribe to your philosophy! I have released 15 EPs and 5 albums over the past 5-6 years. The music does nothing good being kept on a hard drive in my drawer. It should rather be out there, potentially for someone accidentally stumble upon it, and maybe reach out… I always say “Don’t overthink it” Just write, record and release! And the more you write, the better chance of writing good stuff! Keep it up! I am! It’s become a lifestyle!

Last year, I released 4 albums every 3ish months: LOVE, Broken Hearts & Parking Decks, Please Don’t Honor Me, & Elephant Graveyard. It boosted me, heavily. This year I put out as many singles as I could, including a music video from a track last year, but I realized that I did better when I released albums instead of singles. Yes. I started recording my own music as a kid in the 80s, and for over a decade I was really productive, just having fun, barely thinking about it, until it became a career and I got serious about it, then I let my obsession for mastering the details kill the buzz. I had to go thru the 30 year journey until I really learned this. Just do whatever, you win some, you lose some, who cares. It’s just music, it’s a moment, you get better at it naturally
I released my first album back in 22. It was barely mixed correctly, some songs I didn’t even have any sub bass in the whole track. Major conventions of music are missing from it. BUT I still love it to this day. And I reimagined it this year and it’s my actual vision

exactly! I just released my debut album on december 1st of 2024 and I did everything myself even though I don’t know much about producing. I did exactly this when I was starting out almost 30 years ago. Just made loads of albums that I thought sounded amazing in the moment, and realized only contained one or two gems each, then compiled those gems and continued on... I have 9 or 10 of those albums just sitting around, but lately I've been in a bit of a rut because eventually I got more and more perfectionist until I couldn't complete anything. Thanks very much for this- I need to follow your advice (and my own) again and just blast stuff out.
This video's pretty touching. I have a habit of not posting until I feel I make something to the standard I deem postable. I still make music almost daily, but don't end up doing anything with all of the ones I don't like myself. The funny thing is when I do post, like on Instagram where you can have 3 slides of different beats, people often comment that they liked the one I liked the least from the carousel.
Very often i'm quite stuck between wanting to do this approach and dont releasing anything until youre actually happy with what you put out. I tend to lean more on the latter side so each release feels more special and doesn't get lost or drowned out in an endless wave of filler tracks. I'm also quite self critical and have trouble "finishing" things so yeah theres that : )
I feel like a good middle ground is to fully produce a lot of songs but to not release most them. I also want when I release music for it to be special but that's prevented me from fully producing a lot of songs out of fear of not doing it well enough when I should really just go for it and see which ones are good enough afterwards
I'd love to produce and release 40 albums in 5 years but unfortunately I've had a terrible accident, fell off my bike, and now I'm paralyzed... still, I can only dream, and Jonny Mozza helps me do just that! Yes! I totally agree with you!! I argued with one of my band members about him not practicing and experimenting enough to get inspired and do stuff, he thought that to get inspired you have to wait for it. But that's not how it works, it is scientifically proven too! One should always experiment and publish
wow. what a great video. ive been wanting to make, and record music since i was a teenager. i love music and i live for it. ten years later i'm twenty two and i havent done SHIT! i've never written a single song. the other day i recorded a few 50 second-long improvisations on my guitar recorded off my cellphone. a week later i find your video. you've kind of tapped into my 'soon-future mindset' for making and recording music. this is such a beautiful video. it's almost telepathic the way you represent my thought process. youtube knew what they were doing when recommendung me to you. great stuff, man. you've got such a great mind and i understand your emotion and your message. i think things are lining up for you well, my friend. it's so strange that this video has found me at the right time.

As a perfectionist is a gruesome process to experience but I’m so much closer and happier with each step im getting closer to completing my goal. Something I have started doing recently is to make an EP out of one project file. It’s basically one piece of music that has different sections. Usually ends up being about 20 minutes with 5-4 songs. Each of the songs are related to the other. Sometimes I will use the same instrumentation through the whole piece. It is very satisfying.
I absolutely feel rejuvenated in validation and a new found confidence about all the years I’ve journeyed into finding myself in music. I’ve probably made an entire life’s work discography and still have not posted a single thing…there was never a straight forward guidebook to the process of sticking my nose into a world/ industry where I could feel validation or appreciation for the visions that burn within me…as I had no background or credentials to hold structure for anyone to rely on or take me seriously it’s very much debilitated me in my growth as an artist and a human . This video I believe has finally found me and set me free……I feel the weight suffocating me has been lifted and the sensation of long lost self confidence is like, new blood rushing through replenishing every vein in my body this is the greatest gift to bestow upon someone. As this personally pertains to deeper suffering and subconscious awareness in life as well for me…very pivotal moment for me this video and I’m sure for others as well.
I loved the message man, as a musician and artist myself, I think I learned the most when I was just trying to figure out what sounded good to my ears. However, I've put out only like 5 songs, because I'm very selective with my work, and it's been 4 years since I made my first real songs, and now I've realized that even though they sound good, they lack profundity and intention, like, I just wanted them to sound beautiful, with no expression whatsoever. Now I focus more into the expression of feelings and concepts (not necessarily with words), because that's more important to me now, nevertheless, I've come to realize that I should put all my other music out just to show who I was in the past and not let that be erased in the paper, because I cannot guarantee myself that the stuf that I like now is going to be the same forever... Anyways, I found you by accident, but you've got a strong message and a soothing voice! Take care!
Great video and message. Thank you. Some years ago, a good friend suggested I joined a songwriting festival -FAWM (February Album Writing Month). The aim - write 14 songs in February. I had never written a song before. It was life changing. I still do it each year and other songwriting festivals. I agree about getting songs out there and the same applies to other arts. And, as you said, this can be a great way to learn a musical concept/scale/etc. Thanks again.
idk man, quality over quantity for me. I like to distinguish between practicing and then executing when it comes to making a song. You don't have to release everything you're exploring with and experimented with. I like to be more intentional when it comes to making a song that I'm going to release but it might just be me. I do hear you though it really is all about balance.

Thanks, that was good to hear. For the last three years, i have made music that i dont like. However, i like aspects of it, and those aspects are helping me to find my sound. And as you said, you can create different band names. So my channel, which will soon be deleted, is a feeder for the band name that will be my sound. Sometimes, it takes time to fit into place, but if you stop doing it, it won't have a chance.

I created the best art when I wasn't so focussed on sound design. I just used samples and wasn't so obsessed with creating every sound from scratch. Created some godlike harmonies, melodies and chord progressions out of my feelings and from intuition. Good times.
I tried to make music with my friends and they had this problem, they were worried about uploading bad songs, I always tell them that they don't have to worry about that and keep working, none of them kept making music, and none of them uploaded nothing, I do always. I really need it to heard this, I was starting to feel like a madman for not carrying about uploading "bad stuff".

I love this. I was scrolling through TH-cam yesterday when I saw your video recommended and really wanted to watch, resonating with the title a lot. For whatever reason the page reloaded and I didn't see your video. I tried to search what I could remember of the name (make your album now, record your project then worry later, things like that) but was only finding videos on Kendrick Lamar's new album hahahahaha I went back to the home page and scrolled until I found it to no avail. Today I am watching a cooking recipe to make for lunch and voilà your video appears in the corner of my eye and I am glad I clicked it. I don't really know too many people who approach music and composition in a similar way to me. I as well love to naturally allow my curiosity to lead me through music, using music theory simply as a playground filled with ideas I am constantly exposing myself to but not necessarily sitting down with and trying to absorb. I have also gone many years sticking to certain scales, sounds, patterns that I've learned from so many genres of music, and my preferred method of absorbing this knowledge is by applying it into a composition. So to speak, if I end up using it well and memorably, it ends up being a song I am proud to show to people and stays with me (in essence, keeping that musical concept that sparked the idea in the first place to become more muscle memory and part of my natural vocabulary when writing other songs). I even try to take that philosophy to other areas of life where I think I apply too little of this curious freedom. In music, I never worry that I don't know enough or that I know too much. I know that I can get around to anything and everything in due time and there is no rush, it is fun to sit down and dissect a new musical concept for me so the longer it takes, the better! hahahahah With all that said, what I was needing was the push to RELEASE said music which is an entirely different beast on its own... Really inspiring. I’ve always struggled starting to make music as I would start maybe doing a guitar riff or something then listen to it 3 times and completely scrap it. I always feel like there’s a certain standard I should adhere to or I’ll here something out loud that sounded way different in my head. I think the key thing is i just need to start and be alright with failing. Then keep trying again.
Some good stuff in here for new people to hear, one thing I'd add on is the old saying : When you listen to your favorite artists, you're often listening to what took them 10+ years to be able to make. People get discouraged easily starting out and comparing themselves to their favorite artists, but it's important to realize you only hear what they thought was worth hearing, you didn't hear the 10 years of them confused trying to find their sound before they figured it out and got some attention. I've been making music for like 6 years now, for a long time I was writing and recording a song a day, the difference from when I started is night and day. Music is a weird thing because I don't think there's much I could tell myself when I started to make better music, it's just kind of like muscle memory, you make tons of music and eventually you can just kind of ... Make good songs, lol. I genuinely believe anyone with any sort of unique/cool/decent voice can make really good music if they put the time in. Shit, even if you don't have the best voice you can still make really good music, just gotta work a little harder and be more creative with your sound.

This really helps as somebody with debilitating imposter syndrome and perfectionism.

Not sure what kind of magic you put in this video, but I just had the most chill but productive music recording evening I've ever had.
The idea of working quickly is sooo important. I just released my first project (Ben Po - Warmth) and I made one of the songs, ‘Night’ in like 90 minutes because I was working like a mad man. I edited after but I think it’s super important to work with the creative energy/spark quickly so that you don’t lose it.
See what happens if you set yourself like a 30 minute limit and try to create something within the timeframe! I wanna hear

That was my point of view exactly! When I was first uploading stuff on youtube I was a bit frustrated by not having an audience so I remember googling something like "Why does no one give a shit about my music" and I came across this article saying how i can take advantage of this situation by freely experimenting on stuff so then I just recorded my first album solely on my old phone, no mixing or mastering whatsoever and published it. It's been a year since and now I feel like I have improved quite a bit since then and I'm gonna release my second one in a month or two.

I encourage everyone to make music of what ever kind, these days genuine human art is more needed than ever. Ive been producing electronic music for years now but i'd been losing interest in making music since 2023. I bought a 4 track cassette tape recorder n picked up a guitar, started making music purely for fun and putting my tapes on a website that nobody really knows about. Its really freeing to explore new musical territories and experimenting for the sake of enjoyment

Really resonate with this. As someone who places experimentation at the core of my process and work, sometimes I get caught up in the "does this sound good" aspect and lose touch with what makes the process so great which is the experimentation.
This came at the perfect time, so for that my friend, thank you!! I have an album that I paid good money for to have mixed and mastered and I'm starting to get cold feet. I've already got a few of the songs out as singles, but for some reason releasing the project is scary all of a sudden. I think I've attached these expectations to the release that are weighing me down and making it seem scarier than it is. This video helped me find the courage again. The Shakes coming soon!

The entire video was spot on for my current situation, even at 62 years old and being a musician of 50 years. It was that last one minute and 25 seconds however that plugged DIRECTLY into a me and the scenario I literally just faced.
Impeding my own "flow" by INSISTING an older album of 11 songs was remixed/remastered, and released, but it was a monumental undertaking that would've meant over 300 hours of mixing.
But I have lived the words you said in that last minute of this video, and they are very true, for as I closed down that project and opened up the DAW, an amazing new song that I knew was sitting there in the back of my mind was blown down on to tracks complete with four part vocal harmonies in roughly 45 minutes💪🏻
Thank you for keeping the "rogue" element of music alive, encouraging others as I always have to keep their heads down and play what they love .
For me, the instrument is placed over my heart…not laying on my eyeballs, so that what resonates through it is true❤️🔥

I completely subscribe to your philosophy! I have released 15 EPs and 5 albums over the past 5-6 years. The music does nothing good being kept on a hard drive in my drawer. It should rather be out there, potentially for someone accidentally stumble upon it, and maybe reach out… I always say “Don’t overthink it” Just write, record and release! And the more you write, the better chance of writing good stuff! Keep it up! I am! It’s become a lifestyle!

Last year, I released 4 albums every 3ish months: LOVE, Broken Hearts & Parking Decks, Please Don’t Honor Me, & Elephant Graveyard. It boosted me, heavily. This year I put out as many singles as I could, including a music video from a track last year, but I realized that I did better when I released albums instead of singles. Yes. I started recording my own music as a kid in the 80s, and for over a decade I was really productive, just having fun, barely thinking about it, until it became a career and I got serious about it, then I let my obsession for mastering the details kill the buzz. I had to go thru the 30 year journey until I really learned this. Just do whatever, you win some, you lose some, who cares. It’s just music, it’s a moment, you get better at it naturally

I released my first album back in 22. It was barely mixed correctly, some songs I didn’t even have any sub bass in the whole track. Major conventions of music are missing from it. BUT I still love it to this day. And I reimagined it this year and it’s my actual vision

exactly! I just released my debut album on december 1st of 2024 and I did everything myself even though I don’t know much about producing. I did exactly this when I was starting out almost 30 years ago. Just made loads of albums that I thought sounded amazing in the moment, and realized only contained one or two gems each, then compiled those gems and continued on... I have 9 or 10 of those albums just sitting around, but lately I've been in a bit of a rut because eventually I got more and more perfectionist until I couldn't complete anything. Thanks very much for this- I need to follow your advice (and my own) again and just blast stuff out.
This video's pretty touching. I have a habit of not posting until I feel I make something to the standard I deem postable. I still make music almost daily, but don't end up doing anything with all of the ones I don't like myself. The funny thing is when I do post, like on Instagram where you can have 3 slides of different beats, people often comment that they liked the one I liked the least from the carousel.
Very often i'm quite stuck between wanting to do this approach and dont releasing anything until youre actually happy with what you put out. I tend to lean more on the latter side so each release feels more special and doesn't get lost or drowned out in an endless wave of filler tracks. I'm also quite self critical and have trouble "finishing" things so yeah theres that : )
I feel like a good middle ground is to fully produce a lot of songs but to not release most them. I also want when I release music for it to be special but that's prevented me from fully producing a lot of songs out of fear of not doing it well enough when I should really just go for it and see which ones are good enough afterwards
I'd love to produce and release 40 albums in 5 years but unfortunately I've had a terrible accident, fell off my bike, and now I'm paralyzed... still, I can only dream, and Jonny Mozza helps me do just that! I argued with one of my band members about him not practicing and experimenting enough to get inspired and do stuff, he thought that to get inspired you have to wait for it. But that's not how it works, it is scientifically proven too! One should always experiment and publish
wow. what a great video. ive been wanting to make, and record music since i was a teenager. i love music and i live for it. ten years later i'm twenty two and i havent done SHIT! i've never written a single song. the other day i recorded a few 50 second-long improvisations on my guitar recorded off my cellphone. a week later i find your video. you've kind of tapped into my 'soon-future mindset' for making and recording music. this is such a beautiful video. it's almost telepathic the way you represent my thought process. youtube knew what they were doing when recommendung me to you. great stuff, man. you've got such a great mind and i understand your emotion and your message. i think things are lining up for you well, my friend. it's so strange that this video has found me at the right time.

Something I have started doing recently is to make an EP out of one project file. It’s basically one piece of music that has different sections. Usually ends up being about 20 minutes with 5-4 songs. Each of the songs are related to the other. Sometimes I will use the same instrumentation through the whole piece. It is very satisfying.
I absolutely feel rejuvenated in validation and a new found confidence about all the years I’ve journeyed into finding myself in music. I’ve probably made an entire life’s work discography and still have not posted a single thing…there was never a straight forward guidebook to the process of sticking my nose into a world/ industry where I could feel validation or appreciation for the visions that burn within me…as I had no background or credentials to hold structure for anyone to rely on or take me seriously it’s very much debilitated me in my growth as an artist and a human . This video I believe has finally found me and set me free……I feel the weight suffocating me has been lifted and the sensation of long lost self confidence is like, new blood rushing through replenishing every vein in my body this is the greatest gift to bestow upon someone. As this personally pertains to deeper suffering and subconscious awareness in life as well for me…very pivotal moment for me this video and I’m sure for others as well.
I loved the message man, as a musician and artist myself, I think I learned the most when I was just trying to figure out what sounded good to my ears. However, I've put out only like 5 songs, because I'm very selective with my work, and it's been 4 years since I made my first real songs, and now I've realized that even though they sound good, they lack profundity and intention, like, I just wanted them to sound beautiful, with no expression whatsoever.
Now I focus more into the expression of feelings and concepts (not necessarily with words), because that's more important to me now, nevertheless, I've come to realize that I should put all my other music out just to show who I was in the past and not let that be erased in the paper, because I cannot guarantee myself that the stuf that I like now is going to be the same forever...
Anyways, I found you by accident, but you've got a strong message and a soothing voice!

Great video and message. Thank you. Some years ago, a good friend suggested I joined a songwriting festival -FAWM (February Album Writing Month). The aim - write 14 songs in February. I had never written a song before. It was life changing. I still do it each year and other songwriting festivals. I agree about getting songs out there and the same applies to other arts. And, as you said, this can be a great way to learn a musical concept/scale/etc. Thanks again.

idk man, quality over quantity for me. I like to distinguish between practicing and then executing when it comes to making a song. You don't have to release everything you're exploring with and experimented with. I like to be more intentional when it comes to making a song that I'm going to release but it might just be me. I do hear you though it really is all about balance.

Thanks, that was good to hear. For the last three years, i have made music that i dont like. However, i like aspects of it, and those aspects are helping me to find my sound. And as you said, you can create different band names. So my channel, which will soon be deleted, is a feeder for the band name that will be my sound. Sometimes, it takes time to fit into place, but if you stop doing it, it won't have a chance.

I created the best art when I wasn't so focussed on sound design. I just used samples and wasn't so obsessed with creating every sound from scratch. Created some godlike harmonies, melodies and chord progressions out of my feelings and from intuition. Good times.

I tried to make music with my friends and they had this problem, they were worried about uploading bad songs, I always tell them that they don't have to worry about that and keep working, none of them kept making music, and none of them uploaded nothing, I do always.

I love this. I was scrolling through TH-cam yesterday when I saw your video recommended and really wanted to watch, resonating with the title a lot. For whatever reason the page reloaded and I didn't see your video. I tried to search what I could remember of the name (make your album now, record your project then worry later, things like that) but was only finding videos on Kendrick Lamar's new album hahahahaha I went back to the home page and scrolled until I found it to no avail. Today I am watching a cooking recipe to make for lunch and voilà your video appears in the corner of my eye and I am glad I clicked it.
I don't really know too many people who approach music and composition in a similar way to me. I as well love to naturally allow my curiosity to lead me through music, using music theory simply as a playground filled with ideas I am constantly exposing myself to but not necessarily sitting down with and trying to absorb. I have also gone many years sticking to certain scales, sounds, patterns that I've learned from so many genres of music, and my preferred method of absorbing this knowledge is by applying it into a composition. So to speak, if I end up using it well and memorably, it ends up being a song I am proud to show to people and stays with me (in essence, keeping that musical concept that sparked the idea in the first place to become more muscle memory and part of my natural vocabulary when writing other songs). I even try to take that philosophy to other areas of life where I think I apply too little of this curious freedom. In music, I never worry that I don't know enough or that I know too much. I know that I can get around to anything and everything in due time and there is no rush, it is fun to sit down and dissect a new musical concept for me so the longer it takes, the better! hahahahah
With all that said, what I was needing was the push to RELEASE said music which is an entirely different beast on its own... Cheers and thank you kindly for this insightful video

Really inspiring. I’ve always struggled starting to make music as I would start maybe doing a guitar riff or something then listen to it 3 times and completely scrap it. I always feel like there’s a certain standard I should adhere to or I’ll here something out loud that sounded way different in my head. I think the key thing is i just need to start and be alright with failing. Then keep trying again.
I find too much listening while the song isn't done to be the big killer. Super happy you got something from the vid!
Some good stuff in here for new people to hear, one thing I'd add on is the old saying : When you listen to your favorite artists, you're often listening to what took them 10+ years to be able to make.
People get discouraged easily starting out and comparing themselves to their favorite artists, but it's important to realize you only hear what they thought was worth hearing, you didn't hear the 10 years of them confused trying to find their sound before they figured it out and got some attention. I've been making music for like 6 years now, for a long time I was writing and recording a song a day, the difference from when I started is night and day. Music is a weird thing because I don't think there's much I could tell myself when I started to make better music, it's just kind of like muscle memory, you make tons of music and eventually you can just kind of ... Make good songs, lol. I genuinely believe anyone with any sort of unique/cool/decent voice can make really good music if they put the time in. Shit, even if you don't have the best voice you can still make really good music, just gotta work a little harder and be more creative with your sound.
