I myself love a fresh fitted cap, I do not bend the brim, and leave it just the way it came out of the box... But I do take the sticker off, mostly because I am self conscious about my head size... hope this doesn't make me a "poser", but I am a 40 year old white dude.
Man im 40 also and i dont bend my peaks either so do your thing and do what i always do; ask the wife if it looks good or not bcause, at the end of the day, her opinion of whether or not you look dope in your chosen ensemble is the voice that means everything( or at least thats how i see it.)
Youre exactly right, i got a lot of fitted and snap backs, nice ones that were like 40-50 bucks apeice, some of them are like 5 or 6 years old and i still got stickers on em AND them shits are fresh like theyve just been copped at lids or footlocker. Im 40 years old and been around a minute so i can remember the time when people kept their stickers on and you got the timeline downpat dude. Crazy how small things like that become such an iconic symbol of a certain fad that just seemed to blow up and never die.Good vid bro.
I believe the placement of the stickers is to have manners at store and not get bill dirty while touching and looking at it and i get the fresh and the authentication I prefer to take them off right away because to me it throws off the color scheme on alot of hats but that's just me you do you oh and he looks way better with a tiny bit of curve 💯
I was born in 83 so I def feel what you saying . It's def a generation gap thing like with so many other things . It feels almost blasphemous for saying this but I actually am fucking with the curved brim look , only slightly though . I guess because I'm getting older and a father now and having a slight curve seems to fit that aesthetic .I'ma never take the stickers off my hats it feels so wrong not to mention it leaves that damn circle where underneath that one spot looks fresh out the store lol. Even on my non new era hats shit can be a Mitchell and Ness ( remember when Mitchell and Ness was 🔥🔥🔥 them throwback jerseys though ) a '47 one or whatever I got Jordan hats that I refuse to take the sticker off . Alot of ppl say it looks immature and stupid blah blah . Having that sticker not only meant the shit was authentic as fuck but it just made/makes the fit look brand new . I think it's also a regional/coastal thing . West coast cats started the curving the brim thing I'm pretty sure anyway and take the stickers off east coast cats ain't having that lol I grew up in the DMV so . Anyway fuck it at the end of the day rock what you want and how you want . I'm pushing forty I could give a fuck less what some middle school or highschool kid thinks bout my hat 9 times outta ten they ain't gonna say shit to your face anyway lol.
Do you remember when we used to also leave the little string made of little metal balls with the plastic shoe brand logo on it? Like Reebok and Nike Jordan's? Went well with my acid wash jeans rolled up at the ankles
I get it, but I'm on the polar opposite side. As a mechanic who has worked on a maintenance line almost all his career. I dont like my cloths to be fresh. A new pair of boots or pants/shirt dont feel right. I've gone as far to wear my new cloths on days I knew I was going to be grinding metal, crawling through grease, handling mill scale, just to get them worn looking. Its a good feelings buying a new set of carhartts and damn near destroy them in one 10hr shift, especially living where I live and all the people have all the money and soft skin. I got to let them see and smell what goes in the background to keep this country moving supplies. I understand this completely, your in the ghettos and the shit where you cant get a job even if you wanted one and you manage to save up enough money for some new clothing or a nice hat with your favorite team on it. Then you manage to keep that thing clean as fuck for 3yrs, I respect the hell out of that.
my take is I agree with you. do what you want and what you prefer. I personally always take the stickers off my hats but do not judge others for leaving them on
I used to keep the stickers on my hats but now I just take it off and put them on the bottom of the brim for new purchases. I just don't like keeping them in the front anymore for some reason because I feel foolish back when I used to leave them on.
2024 I still keep my stickers on my hat. And I don't bend my bream all crazy that's just not me. You should reupload this video cuz these boys don't understand🎉🎉🎉
@@scarcevoid Because it gives your a hat a bikini line. Let’s say you where the hat a lot and you take care of it but something happens and the sticker starts to peel so you decide to peel it off. Well guess what. The top part of your brim will be two toned because the rest of the hat will be lighter because of the sun faded out tue color and the park where the sticker use to be will be darker than the rest of the brim because the sun was not able to get to it because it was protected by the sticker.
I tried to use fitted caps but they dont feel as fitted or comfortable. Maybe I need to soak and shrink the back...IDK....I love snapbacks but over time the plastic cracks. I wonder if you can sew a new snapback into a hat with a cracked snapback?
Common sense dictates that a clean unmolested hat or shoes would be new. Stickers and tags left on hat and shoes is like buying a car and leaving the info and price sheet on the window and not modifying the car with a system or rims. This was and is a "Monkey see Monkey do" fad. Vintage is where it's at anyway. Regardless of where or why, it's for moronic and for shallow people. It's not the 80's & 90's any longer. Only a certain demographic wears the tags and stickers and that's the hip hop crowd and they are ALL "LOOK AT ME!!!! LOOK AT ME!!!!" childish idiots who brought us stickers, tags, sagging/saggy pants, untied shoes and my favorite...."YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAY'N" after ever third word.
For some reason, fitted caps dont feel right on me, so I stick to snapback. I was trying to buy a GS Warriors hat and no matter which size I tried, it didn't feel right, just like having shoelaces that aren't tight.
I remember in like 5th grade my mom sent me and my dad down to foot locker to get shoes, I got a pair of Adidas all stars and a NY Yankees classic fitted when we got to the register and my dad nearly spent $100 he was telling me your mom is gonna freak the fuck out on you when we get home. He was right and then my dad never took me to get shoes again bahahaha that $33 hat is $50 in the eyes of a women bahaha
To shorten this up what he is saying is stickers are left on hats so people think that they’re new when they are not. Moral of the story is if you want people to do something stupid like leave stickers on articles of clothing just get somebody who is famous to start doing it and everybody will follow along.
I keep the 59Fifty n the hologram sticker under the brim on, remove the price. Those huge ass authentic stickers that take up the whole brim, I take it off. 47 hats, take the sticker off. Any sticker i take off, put between the sweatband and the crown. Like New Era states, fly your own flag brother
Born in 89, I don't do the stickers since I mainly collect onfield MLB hats and it seems more legit to me take the stickers off. I like the camo Sox hat.
Love this collection dude, this is how many I want. I do understand what you are saying. But what I don't understand is.......I have been into baseball for about 3 to 4 years, I have many hats but Chicago cubs hats. What do people have hats from all different teams? What is the actual team you follow? If any......,still a good video fella.

I am an elementary school teacher. I see these around town. Thank you for clarifying.
only clarifying this chump did was show how low his self esteem is by trying to impress people who don't give a shit.
Larry L i mean you came here. soooo...
Lmao
I love how he says if you want to take the stickers off, we can lol
Thank you for giving us your permission lol
I usually take the price sticker off is that okay?
You do you fam!
Yes take it off.if you don't it can ruin the cap.
For me I take out the price sticker but keep the baseball sticker on & the 59fifty sticker on as well. that’s me tho you do you
I always kept the size on, but when the 2000s came I saw people keeping everything
next time keep the price tags on your shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes... it will look like you just got it....

Looks stupid keeping the stickers on if you wear them every day
Yes I leave them on for the fresh effect and to keep from touching the brim with my grimy hands.
