Thumbstuds in that position are a killer for me, maybe if they do a version 2 they can do like you suggested with a fuller or even do like hogue did and put a torx slot removable thumb stud. Great looking knife!
Roshambo, I'm with you on the thumbs getting in the way. I like the thumb studs. I would like Remete to allow us to use a torx diver to remove & replace them. That way we dont have to use vise grips. You know it scratches the living ......... out of them.
@@Rollshambo- I had to go back and take a look. Thanks for reminding me of the name. That is definitely a unique blade. I never really paid that much attention to it as I support makers and manufacturers in the US and try to keep all of my dollars here, but I do enjoy seeing what they come up with in Yangjiang.
That CBR dude needs to stop putting out a test with that suspect hardness tester of his. Get it punched, and if it comes back 53, we will talk. I have SEVERAL Remette premium knives and haven't had any problems. My WD-107 premium version has those big studs, too. I just took them off when I put an edge on it.
I'm actually not positive that one side isn't captive si ce I haven't taken it apart yet..many doube sided pivots still D shaped, guess I need to take it apart to find out🍻
Probably, would have to use pliers, heat the area up with a hair dryer or heat gun ahead of time to loosen any locktite, and a cloth to protect the finish on the studs- the majority of thumbstuds out there without torx heads will come off in this fashion 🍻
@@Rollshambo Thanks! Good tip using heat. I ordered the all black DLC version although i very much dislike the yellow studs. Will blacken them when they come off.(1sub+)
Remette is really pushing the innovation lately. Cheers!
Amazing design.Needs a better sharpening choil though!
This.

Remette is going after Rike and successfully. I have no picks at all with this one other than the studs, which I can live with.
Really liking the designs they're putting out
It's a breath of fresh air getting quality machining and fresh design language..the slicey cutting geometry is something I enjoy as well🍻

What ARE they doing over there!? They are trying lots of neat things that is for sure! Keep going Remette!
That flipper tab is sitting above the pivot, so you won't fail it. I bet it's really snappy! Reminds me of how the flipper tab sits on my WE Nefaris.
I’ve seen 2 tests of their m390 that was at 62.5 HRC.
It reminds me of another cybertruck inspired knife a few months ago, maybe last year.
Idk the cybertrix blade isn't even close, the bladeshape on the cybertrix is always going to make that specific knife look super different🤣

I like just about everything about this knife, but a $350 knife without a captive pivot or sharpening choil is a no-go for me.
Dude just capture ur own pivot 😂

Would you say it`s possible to remove the studs ?
