However, only six months after his television début he was banned from the Australian airwaves when, during a live broadcast, he told his show's producer-who had been pressing him to go to a commercial break-to "go away and masturbate", so that he could continue an entertaining interview with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. The ban was quietly dropped as Allen's popularity continued unabated. Allen returned to the United Kingdom in 1964. Love your work matey.

I was lucky enough to see him live here in the UK when I was very young. He was on stage for nearly 4 hours and was hilarious throughout. 45 years later I still remember it. One of the best gigs ever. Another good one is Alexei Sayle
On a flight with WestJet, a Canadian airline, the flight attendant doing the safety talk suggested, if the oxygen mask should pop down, "Please stop screaming long enough to put it on your face". Love the late Dave. I saw him in performance in Toronto a billion years ago Once, in hospital, I watched at least a dozen episodes of Dave Allen in a row. Hi Janel. Greetings from the UK. this is my first watching of one of your videos. I’m 75 and remember well watching Dave Allen on UK TV 30-50 years ago. It’s even funnier watching it with you and seeing your reactions. So glad you found and appreciate one of UK’s best comedy heroes. Now, I could feel your fear of flying coming at me through my screen! You need to find an EFT (emotional freedom technique) practitioner. It was developed by an American Gary Craig, who would go into Vietnam vet’s hospitals and eliminate their PTSD, using his technique. If you do a lot of travelling, as you mention in your video, do yourself a favour and get rid of the fear. Bless you sweet man.

I was fortunate to of grown up watching Dave on TV always found him funny as f**k, certainly deserved a TV programme to air his jokes. But then Ireland and the UK have always had funny comedians and Dave would always make my top ten of all time funny comedians. His delivery of a punchline was always bang on but then life is often funny as hell when taken apart and examined.
