I went to wadsworth and all my uncles, aunts, sister and brother went to Hyde Park. My family went through this when they built the mega church over there in the 90s we all got brochures about the redevelopment of the community with all big houses on display. Thirty years later they’re finally getting what they wanted. Blacks out of Woodlawn so they can be back close to the university and all the new amenities built.
Not sure what happened here. A variable rate mortgage can be a ship sinker. But often taxes are lumped in to your mortgage, too. In a gentrifying neighborhood property rates skyrocket, often due to frequent and ever-rising city assessments that can see property value (and hence tax) multiply repeatedly in a short time. I can understand being mad with the situation and going underwater due to these costs. But the problem with variable rate mortgage is on the homeowner and the problem with the tax burden is on the City.
Why would her mortgage go up like that? Was it taxes? Insurance? Wasn’t the building paid off already? I don’t understand how it went from her owning the building to it going into foreclosure.

But why pay immigrant rent that committed hideous crimes as well and health care. Sad place. I agree pay your rent though@@jbpvm6025
You get what you vote for
How is that somebody else financial responsibility she didn't pay her bills as simple as that people always making excuses for stuff like somebody owe her pay your bills and she didn't pay rent for 30 months that is crazy if you think you still going to live somewhere for 30 months and pay no money
user-bf9qh2yclq you are so right. They get places to stay in while the American people get put out and are on the streets. What a shame!!!
It depends on what type of mortgage she had and should have had a life insurance policy on her mother plus she should have had a job covering other expenses . There are tax exemption for people 65 and older . ❤❤ ❤
JuliusCOwens. How do you know if she had a job or not. When we get on line we know nothing about these people so stop speaking on things that you know nothing about.
@@ethelhorton8646 I said she should have had a job UPS , FedEx you can make almost $2,000 a week and a good lawyer .
@@ethelhorton8646 you know what that is…
bro, she took out and adjustable rate, she was cooked from the word go.
@@pallmall8452 I wonder if she had a pension , social security , plus the rent money and a part time job ?
Pay your bills 💯
That's a lot of Chicago police officers for an eviction. I've seen a few evictions but only the County Sheriffs were there not city police. Once the eviction has taken place there is like a zero percent chance of getting it back. Plus with taking rent from tenants while not buying the mortgage those tenants can now sue her too.
They have been attacked trying to evict in those areas. It’s still a high crime area.
neighborhood BBQs !? I really don't have to say much it explains itself. They ate from her but no one thought to pay her. the blind leading the blind
You pay you're friends when they have a BBQ? What type of poor people bullshit is that?
Latin ish maybe but not us
30 years and still don’t have it paid off?? Oh wait they didn’t pay for 30 months ya well you don’t get to live for free!!
race card...WEAK....smh
Spoken like someone who clearly has never been in the Woodlawn neighborhood or any of these rapidly gentrifying south side neighborhoods. She may have lost, but I hope other current black homeowners and taxpayers in the area pay attention and stand their ground to this neighborhood land grab, in which property law is continuing to be used as a weapon to displace people of color
30 months? What did you think was going to happen?
What working class black person in Chicago can afford a $3500 mortgage? Their opportunities and education isn't the good 😂. Even if she continued to pay what she could afford...they were still taking it. Chicago is segregated for a reason. The Southside is for entry-level and bluecollar workers. They just dont want her black family fixing with the newcomers. Push em out
She’s right, it’s a land grab be she made it easy to take. I’m sorry that happened, but you gotta take responsibility for yourself.
Ignorance is not an option
Pay your rent people.
So you didn't watch the video
@@JohnSmith-xu7ev yeah I watched the video. Just providing some good life advice.

@@JohnSmith-xu7ev uhhh so you didn’t read my reply to your comment? I said I did watch the video. And pay your Peoples Gas bill people.
Our new citizens will be able to pay rent.
As long as Americans do not control our banking system we will all suffer more and more.

They want that area back I grew up in Woodland
I went to wadsworth and all my uncles, aunts, sister and brother went to Hyde Park. My family went through this when they built the mega church over there in the 90s we all got brochures about the redevelopment of the community with all big houses on display. Thirty years later they’re finally getting what they wanted. Blacks out of Woodlawn so they can be back close to the university and all the new amenities built.

PAY YOUR RENT
Gentrification is real . From $800 to $3500 . When corporate interests want something they get it.
what type of mortgage did the mother have?
Bidenomics…brought to u by Kamala Harris! Keep voting blue! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Huh? Correlation please.
Means keep voting democrats and you continue to get this bs. Lady makes it bout race. Just pay your bills bozo.
This is what Biden and Harris will get you. Kamala for president. Let’s go Democrats
They bout to give it to the migrants
@@Myas-Loyal-Fan oh wow so basically trying to make it whitey and unaffordable for black people 💯🗣️
Definitely
Unheard in the report the traditional refrain of “dis don’t make no sense.”
I love this for Black American Dem voters!
$800 to $3500 is insane man.
Adapt or get left behind.
Why would her mortgage go up like that? Was it taxes? Insurance?
Wasn’t the building paid off already?
I don’t understand how it went from her owning the building to it going into foreclosure.
Gas, grass or …. No body rides for free.
I bet she was charging a good amount for that rent though
Right now she crying wolf lmao she hasn’t paid a dime of rent since 30 months ago straight bum. She crying cuz they taking away her free money that bum
The tenants probably were not paying!
So let me get this straight:
1) she never owned it her mother did
2) she was handed a home by mother
3) house was foreclosed for non payment
4) after foreclosure new owners allowed her to stay if she paid rent
5) she hasn’t paid ANYTHIGN for last several year
6) and rumor is she was renting out other rooms for profit
TYPICAL USUAL SUSPECTS
BIDENOMICS
It’s actually some serious shidd going on. And we choice to joke
May God grant her and all those affected by this calamity, ease. Just another reason why riba (interest) is sinful and evil. May God guide us ALL and help us. Ameen!

How when they still pulling racist shyt in the world today
Correction, generational race card. 😂
